Luke 13
1 Now there were some present at the same time who told him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
൧ചില ഗലീലക്കാർ യാഗം കഴിച്ച് കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ പീലാത്തോസ് അവരെ കൊല്ലിച്ചതായും, അവരുടെ രക്തം അവരുടെ യാഗത്തിൽ കലർന്നതായും ഉള്ള വിവരം, ആ സമയത്ത് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചിലർ യേശുവിനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.
2 And he answered and said to them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered these things?
൨അതിന് അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: അവർ എല്ലാ ഗലീലക്കാരിലും പാപികൾ ആയിരുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണോ അവർക്ക് അങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചത് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തോന്നുന്നുവോ?
3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.
൩അല്ല, ഒരിയ്ക്കലും അല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
4 Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who dwell in Jerusalem?
൪അതുപോലെ ശിലോഹാമിലെ ഗോപുരം വീണു മരിച്ചുപോയ ആ പതിനെട്ടുപേർ യെരൂശലേമിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരേക്കാളും കുറ്റക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?
5 I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way."
൫അല്ല, ഒരിയ്ക്കലും അല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
6 He spoke this parable. "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none.
൬അവൻ ഒരു ഉപമ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു: ഒരാൾക്ക് ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അയാൾ അതിൽ ഒരു അത്തിവൃക്ഷം നട്ടിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ ഫലമുണ്ടോ എന്ന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.
7 He said to the vine dresser, 'Look, these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down. Why does it waste the soil?'
൭അവൻ തോട്ടക്കാരനോട്: ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ മൂന്നു വർഷമായി ഈ അത്തിയിൽ ഫലം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടില്ല; അത് നിലത്തെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളയുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 He answered, 'Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it, and fertilize it.
൮അതിന് അവൻ: കർത്താവേ, ഒരു വർഷം കൂടെ നിൽക്കട്ടെ. ഞാൻ അതിന് ചുറ്റും കിളച്ച് വളം ഇടാം.
9 And if it bears fruit next time, [fine]; but if not, you can cut it down.'"
൯അടുത്ത വർഷം അതിൽ ഫലം ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ വെട്ടിക്കളയാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
10 He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.
൧൦ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവൻ ഒരു പള്ളിയിൽ ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;
11 And look, a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up.
൧൧അവിടെ പതിനെട്ട് വർഷമായി ഒരു രോഗാത്മാവു ബാധിച്ച്, കൂനിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവൾക്ക് ഒരിയ്ക്കലും നിവർന്നു നിൽക്കുവാൻ സാധിക്കുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു.
12 When Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your infirmity."
൧൨യേശു അവളെ കണ്ട് അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു: “സ്ത്രീയേ, നിന്റെ രോഗത്തിൽ നിന്നും വിടുതൽ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെമേൽ കൈവച്ചു.
13 He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God.
൧൩അവൾ ഉടനെ നിവർന്നു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.
14 The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, "There are six days when work should be done Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day."
൧൪യേശു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സുഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത് കൊണ്ട് പള്ളിപ്രമാണി കോപിച്ചു. അയാൾ പുരുഷാരത്തോട്: വേലചെയ്‌വാൻ ആറുദിവസമുണ്ട്; അതിനകം വന്നു സൌഖ്യമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളുക; ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഇതു സാധ്യമല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
15 Therefore the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites. Does not each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water?
൧൫കർത്താവ് അവനോട്: കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരാൾ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തന്റെ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ തൊഴുത്തിൽനിന്നു അഴിച്ച് കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
16 Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, look, eighteen years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?"
൧൬എന്നാൽ സാത്താൻ പതിനെട്ട് വർഷമായി ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മകളായ ഇവളെ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ ഈ ബന്ധനം അഴിച്ച് വിടേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
17 As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed, and all the crowd rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
൧൭അവൻ ഇതു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ എതിരാളികൾ എല്ലാവരും നാണിച്ചു; അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാ മഹത്വകരമായ പ്രവർത്തികളാലും പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സന്തോഷിച്ചു.
18 Then he said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? And to what can I compare it?
൧൮പിന്നെ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത്: ദൈവരാജ്യം ഏതിനോട് സദൃശം? ഏതിനോട് അതിനെ ഉപമിക്കണം?
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and put in his own garden. It grew, and became a tree, and the birds of the sky lodged in its branches."
൧൯ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ എറിഞ്ഞ കടുകുമണിയോട് അത് സദൃശം; അത് വളർന്ന് വൃക്ഷമായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളിൽ താമസിച്ചു.
20 And again he said, "To what can I compare the Kingdom of God?
൨൦പിന്നെയും അവൻ: ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ഏതിനോട് ഉപമിക്കണം?
21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened."
൨൧അത് പുളിച്ചമാവിനോട്തുല്യം; അത് ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറമാവിൽ ചേർത്ത് എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുന്നതു വരെ വച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22 He went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and traveling on to Jerusalem.
൨൨അവൻ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്തു.
23 One said to him, "Lord, are they few who are saved?" He said to them,
൨൩അപ്പോൾ ഒരാൾ അവനോട്: കർത്താവേ, കുറച്ച് പേർ മാത്രമേ രക്ഷപെടുകയുള്ളോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന് അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞത്:
24 "Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.
൨൪ഇടുങ്ങിയ വാതിലിലൂടെ അകത്ത് പ്രവേശിക്കുവാൻ പരിശ്രമിക്കുവിൻ. പലരും പ്രവേശിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിക്കും. എന്നാൽ കഴിയുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
25 When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us.' then he will answer and tell you, 'I do not know you or where you come from.'
൨൫വീട്ടുടയവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കതക് അടച്ചശേഷം നിങ്ങൾ പുറത്തുനിന്ന്: കർത്താവേ, തുറന്നു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് കതകിന് മുട്ടിത്തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്ന് ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറയും.
26 Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.'
൨൬അന്നേരം നിങ്ങൾ: നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കുകയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ തെരുവുകളിൽ നീ പഠിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.
27 But he will reply, 'I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.'
൨൭അവനോ: നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അനീതി പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ, എന്നെവിട്ടു പോകുവിൻ എന്നു പറയും.
28 There will be weeping and grinding of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrown outside.
൨൮അവിടെ അബ്രാഹാമും യിസ്ഹാക്കും യാക്കോബും സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ കാണും. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കാണുമ്പോൾ, അവിടെ കരച്ചിലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
29 They will come from the east, west, north, and south, and will sit down in the Kingdom of God.
൨൯കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും അനേകർ വന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ അത്താഴത്തിന് ഇരിക്കും.
30 And look, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last."
൩൦ചിലപ്പോൾ ആദ്യസ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നതു അവസാനം വരുന്നവർക്കും ഒടുവിലത്തെ സ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നതു ആദ്യം വന്നവർക്കും ആയിരിക്കും.
31 In that same hour some Pharisees came, saying to him, "Get out of here, and go away, for Herod wants to kill you."
൩൧ആ സമയത്തു തന്നേ ചില പരീശന്മാർ അടുത്തുവന്ന് യേശുവിനെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു: ഇവിടം വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; ഹെരോദാവ് നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
32 And he said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Look, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.
൩൨അവൻ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: നിങ്ങൾ പോയി ആ കുറുക്കനോട്: ഞാൻ ഇന്നും നാളെയും ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുകയും രോഗശാന്തി നൽകുകയുംചെയ്യും; എന്നാൽ മൂന്നാംദിവസം എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഞാൻ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
33 Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it cannot be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.'
൩൩എങ്കിലും ഇന്നും നാളെയും മറ്റെന്നാളും ഞാൻ സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിനു പുറത്തുവച്ച് ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ നശിച്ചുപോകാറില്ല എന്നു പറവിൻ.
34 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused.
൩൪യെരൂശലേമേ, യെരൂശലേമേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കല്ലെറിയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവളേ, കോഴി തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ചിറകിൻ കീഴിൽ ചേർക്കുംപോലെ നിന്റെ മക്കളെ എത്ര പ്രാവശ്യം ചേർക്കുവാൻ എനിക്ക് മനസ്സായിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കോ മനസ്സായില്ല.
35 Look, your house is abandoned to you. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
൩൫നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനം ശൂന്യമായ്തീരും; കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വരുന്നവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുവോളം നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
