Isaiah 44
1 Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.
൧“ഇപ്പോൾ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യിസ്രായേലേ, കേൾക്കുക.
2 This is what YHWH who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: "Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
൨നിന്നെ ഉരുവാക്കിയവനും ഗർഭത്തിൽ നിന്നെ നിർമ്മിച്ചവനും നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെശുരൂനേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടണ്ടാ.
3 For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants:
൩ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നിടത്ത് ഞാൻ വെള്ളവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും പകരും; നിന്റെ സന്തതിമേൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും നിന്റെ സന്താനത്തിന്മേൽ എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തെയും പകരും.
4 and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
൪അവർ പുല്ലിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ നീർത്തോടുകൾക്കരികിലുള്ള അലരികൾപോലെ മുളച്ചുവരും.
5 One will say, 'I am YHWH's;' and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand 'to YHWH,' and honor the name of Israel."
൫‘ഞാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്കുള്ളവൻ’ എന്ന് ഒരുത്തൻ പറയും; മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ തനിക്കു യാക്കോബിന്റെ പേരെടുക്കും; വേറൊരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൈമേൽ: ‘യഹോവയ്ക്കുള്ളവൻ’ എന്ന് എഴുതി, യിസ്രായേൽ എന്നു മറുപേർ എടുക്കും.
6 This is what YHWH, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, YHWH of hosts, says: "I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
൬യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ, അവന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.
7 Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.
൭ഞാൻ പുരാതനമായൊരു ജനത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതുമുതൽ ഞാൻ എന്നപോലെ വിളിച്ചുപറയുകയും പ്രസ്താവിക്കുകയും എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കിവയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആര്? സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും സംഭവിക്കുവാനുള്ളതും അവർ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ.
8 Do not fear, neither be afraid. Haven't I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I do not know any other Rock."
൮നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടണ്ടാ; പേടിക്കുകയും വേണ്ടാ; പണ്ടുതന്നെ ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു; പാറയെപ്പോലെ ശക്തനായ മറ്റൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല; ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തനെയും അറിയുന്നില്ല”.
9 Everyone who makes an engraved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses do not see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.
൯വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ശൂന്യം; അവരുടെ മനോഹരബിംബങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവയുടെ സാക്ഷികളോ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല, ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല; ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നതേയുള്ള.
10 Who has fashioned a god, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?
൧൦ഒരു ദേവനെ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയോ ഒന്നിനും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ വാർക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആര്?
11 Look, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.
൧൧ഇതാ അവന്റെ കൂട്ടക്കാർ എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; കൗശലപ്പണിക്കാരോ മനുഷ്യരത്രേ; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി നില്‍ക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ഒരുപോലെ വിറച്ചു ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.
12 The blacksmith takes an axe, works in the coals, fashions it with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. He is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is faint.
൧൨കൊല്ലൻ ഉളിയെ മൂർച്ചയാക്കി തീക്കനലിൽ വേലചെയ്തു ചുറ്റികകൊണ്ട് അടിച്ചു രൂപമാക്കി ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ടു പണിതീർക്കുന്നു; അവൻ വിശന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാതെ തളർന്നുപോകുന്നു.
13 The carpenter stretches out a line. He marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes. He marks it out with compasses, and shapes it like the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to reside in a house.
൧൩ആശാരി തോതുപിടിച്ച് ഈയക്കോൽകൊണ്ട് അടയാളമിട്ടു ചീകുളികൊണ്ടു രൂപമാക്കുകയും വൃത്തയന്ത്രംകൊണ്ടു വരയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ അതിനെ മനുഷ്യാകൃതിയിലും പുരുഷകോമളത്വത്തിലും തീർത്തു ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വയ്ക്കുന്നു.
14 He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir tree, and the rain nourishes it.
൧൪ഒരുവൻ ദേവദാരുക്കളെ വെട്ടുകയും തേക്കും കരിവേലവും എടുക്കുകയും കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളിൽ അവയെ കണ്ട് ഉറപ്പിക്കുകയും ഒരു അശോകം നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിക്കുകയും, മഴ അതിനെ വളർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
15 Then it will be for a man to burn; and he takes some of it, and warms himself. Yes, he burns it, and bakes bread. Yes, he makes a god, and worships it; he makes it an engraved image, and falls down to it.
൧൫പിന്നെ അത് മനുഷ്യന് തീ കത്തിക്കുവാൻ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ കുറെ എടുത്തു തീ കായുകയും അത് കത്തിച്ച് അപ്പം ചുടുകയും അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു ദേവനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കുകയും ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം തീർത്ത് അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
16 He burns part of it in the fire. With part of it, he eats meat. He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself, and says, "Aha. I am warm. I have seen the fire."
൧൬അതിൽ ഒരംശംകൊണ്ട് അവൻ തീ കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഒരംശംകൊണ്ട് ഇറച്ചി ചുട്ടുതിന്നുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ചുട്ടു തിന്നു തൃപ്തനാകുന്നു; അവൻ തീ കാഞ്ഞു; “നല്ല തീ, കുളിർ മാറി” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
17 The rest of it he makes into a god, even his engraved image. He bows down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, "Deliver me; for you are my god."
൧൭അതിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ ഒരു ദേവനെ, ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ തന്നെ, ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിക്കുകയും അതിനോട് പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ച്: “എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ; നീ എന്റെ ദേവനല്ലയോ” എന്നു പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18 They do not know, neither do they consider: for he has shut their eyes, that they can't see; and their hearts, that they can't understand.
൧൮അവർ അറിയുന്നില്ല, ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; കാണാത്തവിധം അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തവിധം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അവിടുന്ന് അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 No one thinks, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, "I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals. I have roasted meat and eaten it. Shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? Shall I bow down to a tree trunk?"
൧൯ഒരുത്തനും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ല: “ഒരംശം ഞാൻ കത്തിച്ചു കനലിൽ അപ്പം ചുട്ട് ഇറച്ചിയും ചുട്ടു തിന്നു; ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരു മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ? ഒരു മരമുട്ടിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുമോ!” എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറയുവാൻ തക്കവിധം ഒരുത്തനും അറിവും ഇല്ല, ബോധവുമില്ല.
20 He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside; and he can't deliver his soul, nor say, "Isn't there a lie in my right hand?"
൨൦അവൻ ചാരം തിന്നുന്നു; വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; “എന്റെ വലംകൈയിൽ ഭോഷ്കില്ലയോ?” എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
21 Remember these things, Jacob and Israel; for you are my servant. I have formed you. You are my servant. Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.
൨൧“യാക്കോബേ, ഇത് ഓർത്തുകൊള്ളുക; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസനല്ലയോ; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിർമ്മിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ തന്നെ; യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മറന്നുകളയുകയില്ല.
22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
൨൨ഞാൻ കാർമുകിലിനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മേഘത്തെപോലെ നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; എങ്കലേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു”.
23 Sing, you heavens, for YHWH has done it. Shout, you lower parts of the earth. Break out into singing, you mountains, O forest, all of your trees, for YHWH has redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel.
൨൩ആകാശമേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കുക; യഹോവ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളേ, ആർത്തുകൊള്ളുവിൻ; പർവ്വതങ്ങളും വനവും സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ആയുള്ളോവയേ, പൊട്ടിയാർക്കുവിൻ; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു യിസ്രായേലിൽ സ്വയം മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
24 Thus says YHWH, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: "I am YHWH, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;
൨൪നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഗർഭത്തിൽ നിന്നെ നിർമ്മിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ സകലവും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കുകയും ഭൂമിയെ പരത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആര് എന്നോടുകൂടി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു?
25 who foils the omens of the empty talkers, and makes fools of diviners; who turns sages back, and makes their knowledge foolish;
൨൫ഞാൻ ജല്പകന്മാരുടെ ശകുനങ്ങളെ വ്യർത്ഥമാക്കുകയും പ്രശ്നക്കാരെ ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരാക്കുകയും ജ്ഞാനികളെ മടക്കി അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ഭോഷത്തമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
26 who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem, 'She will be inhabited;' and of the cities of Judah, 'They will be built,' and 'I will raise up its waste places;'
൨൬ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദാസന്റെ വചനം നിവർത്തിച്ച് എന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ആലോചന അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിവാസികൾ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങൾ പണിയപ്പെടും, ഞാൻ അവയുടെ ഇടിവുകളെ നന്നാക്കും എന്നും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
27 who says to the deep, 'Be dry,' and 'I will dry up your rivers;'
൨൭ഞാൻ ആഴിയോട് ‘ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോവുക; നിന്റെ നദികളെ ഞാൻ വറ്റിച്ചുകളയും’ എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
28 Who says of Koresh, 'He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure,' even saying of Jerusalem, 'She will be built;' and of the temple, 'Your foundation will be laid.'"
൨൮കോരെശ് എന്റെ ഇടയൻ; അവൻ എന്റെ ഹിതമെല്ലാം നിവർത്തിക്കും എന്നും യെരൂശലേം പണിയപ്പെടും, മന്ദിരത്തിന് അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടും എന്നും ഞാൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നു”.
