< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
F’ihe, anako, maozara amy hasoa’ Iesoà Norizañeiy.
2 The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful people, who will be able to teach others also.
Le o tsinano’o amako aolo’ ty valolombeloñe maroo ro afantoho ama’ondaty migahiñe hahafañoke o ila’eo ka.
3 You therefore must share in hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Mindreza hasilofañe amako hoe lahin-defo’ soa’ Iesoà Norizañey.
4 No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
Tsy ia ty mitolon-ko lahindefo ze mifehefehe an-tsata’ ty tane toio; fa ty hahafale i nanendre aze ho lahin-defoñey.
5 Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
Le i mpimane tsikiaviaviy, tsy tambezen-dre naho tsy ilozoha’e o fañèn-tsikiaviavio.
6 The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops.
Tsy mete tsy mandrambe amy voka’ey hey i mpambole nifanehake ama’ey.
7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
Kinàño o volakoo, le i Talè ro hampaharendreke azo amy halifora’ey.
8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, a descendant of David, according to my Good News,
Tiahio t’Iesoà Norizañe, nampivañoneñe an-kavilasy naho tiri’ i Davide, ty amy taliliko soa
9 in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God's word is not chained.
isotriako falilovañe naho nampijorobo ahy an-drohy atoa hoe mpanao ratiy; fe tsy mirohy ty tsaran’ Añahare.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory. (aiōnios g166)
Zay ty ifeahako ze he’e ho amo jinoboñeo, handrambesa’ iareo i fandrombahañe am’ Iesoà Norizañey rekets’ engeñe tsy ritsey. (aiōnios g166)
11 This saying is faithful: "For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
Inao ty entañe to: Kanao nindre nivilasy ama’e tikañe, le ho veloñe mindre ama’e ka.
12 If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
Naho mahatañe tikañe, le hindre hifehe ama’e ka. F’ie lànen-tika, le ho farie’e ka.
13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself."
Naho tsy mahafiato tika, migahiñe re, fa tsy mete miteti-vatañe.
14 Remind them of these things, charging them in the presence of God, not to wrangle about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
Aniahio o raha zao, naho imaneo taroñe añatrefan’ Añahare le ko mifandietse an-tsaontsy, fa tsy manjofake naho mampivalitaboak’ o mpijanjiñeo.
15 Do your best to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.
Ilozoho ty hiatrefa’o aman’ Añahare ho mpifanehake no’e, tsy aman-ko salareñe, naho mahasalàhañe o tsaran-katòo;
16 But shun empty chatter, for they will proceed further in ungodliness,
le iholiaro ty reham-borosode, fa mampihànkañe ondaty ami’ty Hake,
17 and their word will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
fa handramban-tane hoe angorosy o reha’ iareoo. Mpiama’ iareo t’i Himeneo naho i Fileto;
18 who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
songa nandrìke ami’ty hahiti’e, ie nivolañe te fa nifetsake i fivañonan-ko-veloñey, ze mamalike ty fatokisa’ o ila’eo,
19 However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."
fe mijadoñe ty mananta-maozan’ Añahare, le pinatetse ama’e ty hoe: Arofoana’ i Talè o azeo, naho Tsy mahay tsy hiamboho ty raty ze manoñoñe ty tahina’ i Talè.
20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
Tsy fitovy volafoty naho volamena avao ty ìsake amo anjomba jabajabao fa eo ka o aman-katae naho lietseo, eo ty amam-piasiañe, naho ty aman-katsorañe.
21 If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work.
Aa ze miefe-batañe amy rezay ty ho fitovim-piasiañe, miavake naho mañeva ho fitoloña’ i Talè, veka’e amy ze hene sata soa.
22 Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Mibolitira amo draon’ ajalahio, le imaneo havantañañe, figahiñañe, fikokoañe, vaho fifampilongoañe mitraoke amo mpikanjy i Talè añ’ arofo hiringiri’eo.
23 But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
Mihankaña amo fifanjeharañe minè, tsy aman-kilalao, ie oniñe te minday fifanjomorañe avao.
24 The Lord's servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
Tsy hanotratsotrake ka ty mpitoro’ i Talè, fa ho lem-po am’ ie iabiy, mahay mañoke, naho mahafifeake tivetive,
25 in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
mañity o mpandietseo an-kamoràn’ troke, ke ho metean’ Añahare ty hisolohoa’ iareo, handrendreke ty hatò,
26 and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
hisotraha’ iareo hibolititse ami’ty fandri-bo’ i mpañìnje nandrohy iareo hanao ze nahin-troke.
