1 Peter 5
1 I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed:

2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, as God wants; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
mvya vadimaji wa msambi wa vandu vempewili na Chapanga, mliyangalila bwina, lepi ngati chemwigana nyenye nambu cheigana Chapanga. Muhenga lihengu lepi kwa mnogo wa kupata mashonga nambu muhenga kwa mtima winu woha.
3 neither as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
Mkoto kuvalongosa kwa makakala vala vempewili kuuyangalila, nambu muvya luhumu lwa bwina kwa msambi wenuwo.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
Na lukumbi Mdimaji Mkulu peibwela kavili, nyenye yati mpokela njingwa ya ukulu yangayagisa ubwina waki.
5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, towards one another; for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Mewawa na nyenye vasongolo muvayidakila vagogo vinu. Na mwavoha nyenye mganikiwa kuvya vangolongondi muhotola kutangatilana, muni Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova, “Chapanga akuvabela vevimeka nambu akuvalangisa ubwina waki vangameka”
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;
Hinu ndi, ngolongondi winu uvya pahi ya mumawoko ga Chapanga mweavi na uhotola, muni avayinula lukumbi lweluganikiwa.
7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Mumlekela mwene mambu geging'aha mitima yinu, muni mwene akuvayangalila.
8 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Mjiyangalila, na mvya mihu! Muni likoko winu Setani, itindila tindila ngati lihimba lelibuluma kumlonda mundu limmila.
9 Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
Mumbela mwenuyo, myima cha kukangamala mu sadika, ndava mumanyili vakilisitu vayinu pamulima woha ving'aika ngati chemwing'aika nyenye.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you. (aiōnios g166)
Nambu mwakamala kung'ahika lukumbi luhupi, Chapanga mweavili na ubwina mugoha, mweavakemeli muyingila mu ukulu waki wa magono goha gangali mwishu mukuwungana na Kilisitu. Mwene yati akuvakangamalisa, na akuvapela makakala na kuvakita mkangamala kuyima mumkingisa weusindimili. (aiōnios g166)

12 Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.
Nivayandikili balua yeniyi yidebe kwa kutangatiliwa na Siliwano, mwenimuweni ngati mlongo wangu na msadikika. Nigana kuvasindimalisa mtima na kujova kuvya lijambu lenili chakaka ubwina wa Chapanga. Myima chakukangamala mu ubwina wenuwo.
13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son.
Vamsadika vayinu vevavili ku Babeli vevahaguliwi na Chapanga pamonga na nyenye vakuvajambusa. Mewawa Maluko mweavi ngati mwana vangu akuvajambusa.
14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ.
Mjambusanayi muuganu waki Kilisitu. Mutama kwa uteke mwavoha nyenye mwemuvi mugati ya Kilisitu.
