Psalms 19

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

Al Vencedor: Salmo de David. Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, y el extendimiento denuncia la obra de sus manos.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.

Un día emite palabra al otro día, y una noche a la otra noche declara sabiduría.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

No hay idioma ni lenguaje donde no es oída su voz.

4 Their voice has gone out to all the earth, their words to the farthest part of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

En toda la tierra salió su hilo, y al cabo del mundo sus palabras. En ellos puso tabernáculo para el sol.

5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.

Y él, como un novio que sale de su tálamo; se alegra, como un gigante, para correr el camino.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.

De un extremo de los cielos es su salida, y su curso hasta la extremidad de ellos; y no hay quien se esconda de su calor.

7 The LORD's Law is perfect, restoring the soul. The LORD's testimony is sure, making wise the simple.

La ley del SEÑOR es perfecta, que convierte el alma; el testimonio del SEÑOR es fiel, que hace sabio al pequeño.

8 The LORD's precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. The LORD's commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Los mandamientos del SEÑOR son rectos, que alegran el corazón; el precepto del SEÑOR es puro, que alumbra los ojos.

9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever. The LORD's ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

El temor del SEÑOR es limpio, que permanece para siempre; los derechos del SEÑOR son verdad, todos justos.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

Deseables son más que el oro, y más que mucho oro afinado; y dulces más que miel, y que licor de panales.

11 Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.

Tu siervo es además amonestado con ellos; en guardarlos hay grande galardón.

12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.

Los errores, ¿quién los entenderá? De los encubiertos me libra.

13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.

Detén asimismo a tu siervo de las soberbias; que no se enseñoreen de mí; entonces seré perfecto, y estaré limpio de gran rebelión.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight always, LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Sean gratos los dichos de mi boca y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh SEÑOR, roca mía, y redentor mío
