Psalms 14

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.

Керівнику хору. Давидів. Промовив безумний у своєму серці: «Немає Бога». Розбестились вони, огидними стали їхні вчинки, немає [нікого], хто б чинив добро.

2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.

Господь із небес поглядає на синів людських, щоб побачити, чи є [серед них] розумний, що шукає Бога.

3 They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

Усі як один вони збочили [з дороги], зіпсувалися; немає того, хто робив би добро, жодного немає.

4 Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD.

Невже не схаменуться всі ті, хто чинить беззаконня, хто пожирає народ мій, немов хліб, хто Господа не кличе?

5 There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Там, [на шляху їхньому], охопить їх страх, адже Бог серед праведного роду.

6 You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge.

Ви глузуєте зі сподівань пригнобленого, але Господь – його притулок.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.

О, хто дав би із Сіону порятунок Ізраїлеві! Коли Господь поверне з полону народ Свій, веселитиметься Яків, радітиме Ізраїль!
