< Psalms 14 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Omusirusiru ayogera mu mutima gwe nti, “Tewali Katonda.” Aboogera bwe batyo boonoonefu, bakola ebitasaana tekuli n’omu ku bo akola kirungi.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
Mukama atunuulira abantu bonna mu nsi ng’asinziira mu ggulu, okulaba obanga mulimu mu bo ategeera, era abanoonya Katonda.
3 They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
Naye bonna bakyamye boonoonese; teri akola kirungi, era teri n’omu.
4 Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD.
Abo bonna abakola ebibi tebaliyiga? Kubanga basaanyaawo abantu bange ng’abalya emmere; so tebakoowoola Mukama.
5 There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Balitya nnyo! Kubanga Katonda abeera wamu n’abatuukirivu.
6 You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge.
Mulemesa entegeka z’omwavu, songa Mukama kye kiddukiro kye.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
Singa obulokozi bwa Isirayiri butuuse mu kiseera kino nga buva mu Sayuuni! Mukama bw’alirokola abantu be, Yakobo alijaguza ne Isirayiri alisanyuka.
