< Judges 6 >

1 And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
Inaramid dagiti tattao ti Israel ti dakes iti imatang ni Yahweh, ket inkabilna ida iti turay ti Midian iti pito a tawen.
2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel; and because of Midian the children of Israel made for themselves the dens which are in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds.
Pinarigat ti pannakabalin ti Midian ti Israel. Gapu iti Midian, nagaramid dagiti tattao ti Israel iti pagkamanganda kadagiti gukayab iti turturod, kadagiti rukib, ken kadagiti sarikedked.
3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that Midian, Amalek, and the Kedemites would come up against them.
Napasamak a tunggal agmula dagiti Israelita, rauten ida dagiti Midianita ken Amalekita ken dagiti tattao manipud iti daya.
4 And they camped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, as far as Gaza, and they left no sustenance in Israel, as well as sheep, or ox, or donkey.
Agkampo ti armadada iti daga ket dadaelenda dagiti mulada, agingga idiay Gaza. Awan ti ibatida a taraon iti Israel, ken awan ti karnero, baka man wenno dagiti asno.
5 For they came up with their livestock and their tents and their camels. They would come in like locusts in number, and they were innumerable. And they came into the land to ravage it.
Tunggal sumang-atda ken dagiti tarakenda ken dagiti toldada, umayda a kasla pangen dagiti dudon, ket saan a mabilang dagiti tattao man wenno dagiti kamelioda. Sinakupda ti daga tapno dadaelenda daytoy.
6 Israel was brought very low because of Midian; and the children of Israel cried to the LORD.
Nakaro iti panangpapanglaw ti Midian kadagiti Israelita isu nga immawag dagiti tattao ti Israel kenni Yahweh.
7 It happened, when the children of Israel cried to the LORD because of Midian,
Idi immawag dagiti tattao ti israel kenni Yahweh gapu iti Midian,
8 that the LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel, and he said to them, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
nangibaon ni Yahweh iti profeta kadagiti tattao ti Israel. Kinuna ti profeta kadakuada, “Kastoy ti ibagbaga ni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel: 'Inruarkayo manipud Egipto; inruarkayo manipud iti balay ti pannakatagabu.
9 and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out from before you, and gave you their land;
Inispalkayo manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti Egiptio, ken manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti amin a nangparparigat kadakayo. Pinapanawko ida iti sangoananyo, ket intedko kadakayo ti dagada.
10 and I said to you, "I am the LORD your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell." But you have not listened to my voice.'"
Kinunak kadakayo, “Siak ni Yahweh a Diosyo; Binilinkayo a saankayo nga agrukbab kadagiti dios dagiti Amorreo, a makindaga iti pagnanaedanyo.” Ngem saankayo a nagtulnog iti timekko.'”
11 The angel of the LORD came, and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained to Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
Ita, immay ti anghel ni Yahweh ket nagtugaw iti sirok ti kayo a lugo idiay Ofra, a kukua ni Joas (nga Abiezerita), kabayatan a ni Gideon a putot a lalaki ni Joas ket agir-irik babaen iti panangibaotna iti daytoy iti daga, idiay pagpespesan ti arak—tapno ilemmeng daytoy kadagiti Midianita.
12 The angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."
Nagparang ti anghel ni Yahweh kenkuana ket kinunana, “Adda ni Yahweh kenka, sika a nabileg a mannakigubat!”
13 Gideon said to him, "Oh, my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, 'Didn't the LORD bring us up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian."
Kinuna ni Gideon kenkuana, “O, apok, no adda ni Yahweh kadakami, apay ngarud a napasamak amin daytoy kadakami? Sadino ti ayan dagiti amin a nakakaskasdaaw nga aramidna nga imbaga dagiti ammami kadakami, idi kinunada, 'Saan kadi nga inruarnatayo ni Yahweh manipud Egipto?' Ngem ita, binaybay-annakami ni Yahweh ken inyawatnakami iti pannakabalin ti Midian.”
14 The LORD looked at him, and said, "Go in this strength of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Look, haven't I sent you?"
Kimmita ni Yahweh kenkuana ket kinunana, “Mapanka iti daytoy a pigsa nga adda kenka. Ispalem ti Israel manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti Midianita. Saanka kadi nga imbaon?”
15 He said to him, "O Lord, how shall I save Israel? Look, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."
Kinuna ni Gideon kenkuana, “Pangaasim, Apo, kasano a maispalko ti Israel? Kitaem, ti pamiliak ti kakapuyan iti Manases, ket siak ti kanunumoan iti balay ti amak.”
16 And the LORD said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man."
Kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, “Addaakto kenka, ket parmekemto ti entero nga armada dagiti Midianita.”
17 He said to him, "If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.
Kinuna ni Gideon kenkuana, “No maay-ayoka kaniak, ikkannak ngarud iti pagilasinan a sika iti makisarsarita kaniak.
18 Please do not go away, until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you." He said, "I will wait until you come back."
Pangaasim, saanka a pumanaw ditoy agingga nga agsubliak kenka ken iyegko ti sagutko ket idatagko iti sangoanam.” Kinuna ni Yahweh, “Agurayak agingga nga agsublika.”
19 Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal: the meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.
Napan ni Gideon ket nagparti iti urbon a kalding ken nagluto iti tinapay nga awan lebadurana manipud iti maysa nga efa ti arina. Inkabilna ti karne iti basket, ken inkabilna ti digo iti banga ket indatagna dagitoy kenkuana iti sirok ti kayo a lugo.
20 The angel of God said to him, "Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth." And he did so.
Kinuna ti anghel ti Dios kenkuana, “Alaem ti karne ken ti tinapay nga awan lebadurana ket iparabawmo dagitoy iti daytoy a bato, ken ibukbokmo ti digo kadagitoy.” Ket inaramid ngarud ni Gideon dayta.
21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there went up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
Ket inggaw-at ti anghel ni Yahweh ti murdong ti sarukod nga iggemna. Babaen iti daytoy, sinagidna ti lasag ken ti tinapay nga awan lebadurana; rimmuar ti apuy manipud iti bato ket pinuoranna ti karne ken ti tinapay nga awan lebadurana. Kalpasanna, pimmanaw ti anghel ni Yahweh ket saanen a makita ni Gideon isuna.
22 Gideon saw that he was the angel of the LORD; and Gideon said, "Alas, Lord GOD. Because I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face."
Naamiris ni Gideon a daytoy ti anghel ni Yahweh. Kinuna ni Gideon, “O, Yahweh nga Apo! Ta nakitak ti anghel ni Yahweh iti rupanrupa!”
23 The LORD said to him, "Peace be to you. Do not be afraid. You shall not die."
Kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, “Kappia kenka! Saanka nga agbuteng, saanka a matay.”
24 Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it "The LORD is Peace." To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Nangipatakder ngarud ni Gideon iti altar sadiay para kenni Yahweh. Inawaganna daytoy iti, ni Yahweh ket Talna. Agingga kadagitoy nga aldaw, nakatakder pay laeng daytoy idiay Ofra iti puli ti Abi Ezer.
25 It happened the same night, that the LORD said to him, "Take your father's bull, even the second bull seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it;
Iti dayta a rabii, kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, “Alaem ti bulog a baka ti amam, ken ti maikadua a bulog a baka nga agtawen iti pito, ket rebbaem ti altar ni Baal a kukua ti amam, ken putdem ti Asera nga adda iti abayna daytoy.
26 and build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this stronghold, in the orderly manner, and take the second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down."
Mangipatakderka iti altar ni Yahweh a Diosmo iti tuktok daytoy a lugar a pagkamangan, ken aramidem daytoy iti umno a wagas. Idatonmo ti maikadua a bulog a baka kas daton a maipuor amin, usarem ti kayo manipud iti Asera a pinutedmo.”
27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had spoken to him: and it came about, because he feared his father's household and the men of the city, so that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
Nangayab ngarud ni Gideon iti sangapulo kadagiti adipenna ket inaramidna kas imbaga ni Yahweh kenkuana. Ngem inaramidna daytoy iti rabii saan nga iti aldaw gapu ta mabuteng unay isuna iti sangkabalayan ti amana ken kadagiti tattao iti ili.
28 When the men of the city arose early in the morning, look, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah was cut down that was by it, and the second bull was offered on the altar that was built.
Kabigatanna, idi bimmangon dagiti tattao iti ili, narebban ti altar ni Baal, ken naputeden ti Asera nga adda iti abayna daytoy ket naidatonen ti maikadua a bulog a baka iti altar a naipatakder.
29 And they said to one another, "Who has done this thing?" When they inquired and asked, they said, "Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing."
Kinuna dagiti tattao iti siudad iti tunggal maysa, “Siasino ti nangaramid iti daytoy?” Idi nakisaritada kadagiti dadduma ken nangsapulda iti sungbat, kinunada, “Ni Gideon a putot a lalaki ni Joas ti nangaramid iti daytoy a banag.”
30 Then the men of the city said to Joash, "Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has broken down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the Asherah that was by it."
Ket kinuna dagiti tattao ti ili kenni Joas, “Iruarmo ti putotmo tapno mapapatay isuna, gapu ta rinebbana ti altar ni Baal, ken gapu ta pinutedna ti Asera nga adda iti abayna daytoy.”
31 Joash said to all who stood against him, "Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? He who will contend for him, let him be put to death while it is yet morning: if he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has broken down his altar."
Kinuna ni Joas kadagiti amin a mangtubtubngar kenkuana, “Ipakaasiyo kadi ti napasamak kenni Baal? Isalakanyo kadi isuna? Siasinoman a mangipakaasi iti napasamak kenkuana, mapapatay koma kabayatan a nasapa pay. No maysa a dios ni Baal, ikanawana koma ti bagina no adda mangrebba iti altarna.”
32 Therefore on that day he named him Jerubbaal, saying, "Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar."
Iti dayta nga aldaw, napanaganan ngarud ni Gideon iti “Jerub Baal,” gapu ta kinunana, “Ikanawa koma ni Baal ti bagina maibusor kenkuana,” gapu ta rinebba ni Gideon ti altarna.
33 Then all Midian and Amalek and the Kedemites assembled themselves together; and they crossed over, and camped in the Valley of Jezreel.
Ita, nagmaymaysa a nagu-ummong dagiti Midianita, Amalekita, ken dagiti tattao iti daya. Binallasiwda ti Jordan ket nagkampoda idiay tanap ti Jezreel.
34 But the Spirit of the LORD came on Gideon; and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered together after him.
Ngem kinaluban ti Espiritu ni Yahweh ni Gideon tapno tulunganna isuna. Pinaguni ni Gideon ti trumpeta, ay-ayabanna ti tribu ti Abi Ezer, tapno mabalin a sumurotda kenkuana.
35 He sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; and they also were gathered together after him: and he sent messengers to Asher, and to Zebulun, and to Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
Nangibaon isuna kadagiti mensahero a mapan iti entero a Manases, ket naayabanda met a sumurot kenkuana. Nangibaon met isuna kadagiti mensahero iti Aser, Zabulon, ken Neftali, ket simmang-atda a sumabat kenkuana.
36 Gideon said to God, "If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken,
Kinuna ni Gideon iti Dios, “No gandatmo iti mangusar kaniak a mangisalakan iti Israel a kas iti kinunam—
37 look, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then shall I know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken."
Kitaem, mangikabilak iti dutdot iti pagir-irikan. No addanto laeng linnaaw iti dutdot ket namaga ti amin a daga, ket maammoakto nga usarennak a mangisalakan iti Israel a kas iti kinunam.”
38 It was so; for he rose up early on the next day, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
Daytoy ti napasamak— nasapa a bimmangon ni Gideon iti simmaruno a bigat, inummongna ti dutdot ket pinepesna ti linnaaw manipud iti dutdot, umanay a nangpunno iti maysa a mallukong.
39 Gideon said to God, "Do not let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make one more test with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew."
Kalpasanna, kinuna ni Gideon iti Dios, “Saanka a makaunget kaniak, agsao-ak pay iti maminsan. Pangaasim ta palubosam iti maysa pay a pammaneknek kaniak babaen iti dutdot. Iti daytoy a tiempo, pagbalinem a namaga ti dutdot, ken maadda koma ti linnaaw iti amin a daga iti aglawlawna daytoy.”
40 God did so that night, for it was dry on the fleece only, and there was dew all over the ground.
Inaramid ti Dios ti dinawatna iti dayta a rabii. Namaga ti dutdot, ken adda linnaaw iti amin a daga iti aglawlawna.
