Ezra 2

1 Now these are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his city;

عدهٔ زیادی از یهودیانی که نِبوکَدنِصَّر، پادشاه بابِل، آنها را اسیر کرده به بابِل برده بود، به یهودا و اورشلیم بازگشتند و هر کس به زادگاه خود رفت.

2 who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

رهبران یهودیان در این سفر عبارت بودند از: زروبابِل، یهوشع، نِحِمیا، سرایا، رعیلایا، مُردخای، بِلشان، مِسفار، بِغوای، رِحوم و بَعَنا. نام طایفه‌های یهودیانی که به وطن بازگشتند و تعداد آنها، به شرح زیر است:

3 The descendants of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.

از طایفۀ فرعوش ۲٬۱۷۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ شفطیا ۳۷۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ آرح ۷۷۵ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ فحت موآب (که از نسل یشوع و یوآب بود) ۲٬۸۱۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ عیلام ۱٬۲۵۴ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ زتو ۹۴۵ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ زکای ۷۶۰ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ بانی ۶۴۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ ببای ۶۲۳ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ ازجد ۱٬۲۲۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ ادونیقام ۶۶۶ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ بغوای ۲٬۰۵۶ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ عادین ۴۵۴ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ آطیر (که از نسل حِزِقیا بود) ۹۸ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ بیصای ۳۲۳ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ یوره ۱۱۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ حاشوم ۲۲۳ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ جبار ۹۵ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ بیت‌لحم ۱۲۳ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ نطوفه ۵۶ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ عناتوت ۱۲۸ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ عزموت ۴۲ نفر؛ از طایفه‌های قریت یعاریم و کفیره و بئیروت ۷۴۳ نفر؛ از طایفه‌های رامه و جبع ۶۲۱ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ مخماس ۱۲۲ نفر؛ از طایفه‌های بیت‌ئیل و عای ۲۲۳ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ نبو ۵۲ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ مغبیش ۱۵۶ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ عیلام ۱٬۲۵۴ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ حاریم ۳۲۰ نفر؛ از طایفه‌های لود، حادید و اونو ۷۲۵ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ اریحا ۳۴۵ نفر؛ از طایفهٔ سناعه ۳٬۶۳۰ نفر.

5 The descendants of Arah, seven hundred seventy-five.

6 The descendants of Pahath-Moab, of the descendants of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred twelve.

7 The descendants of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.

8 The descendants of Zattu, nine hundred forty-five.

9 The descendants of Zaccai, seven hundred sixty.

10 The descendants of Bani, six hundred forty-two.

11 The descendants of Bebai, six hundred twenty-three.

12 The descendants of Azgad, one thousand two hundred twenty-two.

13 The descendants of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-six.

14 The descendants of Bigvai, two thousand fifty-six.

15 The descendants of Adin, four hundred fifty-four.

16 The descendants of Ater, of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.

17 The descendants of Bezai, three hundred twenty-three.

18 The descendants of Jorah, one hundred twelve.

19 The descendants of Hashum, two hundred twenty-three.

20 The descendants of Gibbar, ninety-five.

21 The men of Bethlehem, one hundred twenty-three.

22 The men of Netophah, fifty-six.

23 The men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight.

24 The descendants of Beth Azmaveth, forty-two.

25 The descendants of Kiriath Jearim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three.

26 The descendants of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty-one.

27 The men of Michmas, one hundred twenty-two.

28 The men of Bethel and Ai, two hundred twenty-three.

29 The descendants of Nebo, fifty-two.

30 The descendants of Magbish, one hundred fifty-six.

31 The descendants of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.

32 The descendants of Harim, three hundred twenty.

33 The descendants of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-five.

34 The descendants of Jericho, three hundred forty-five.

35 The descendants of Senaah, three thousand six hundred thirty.

36 The priests: the descendants of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three.

تعداد کاهنانی که به وطن بازگشتند به شرح زیر است: از طایفۀ یدعیا (که از نسل یشوع بود) ۹۷۳ نفر؛ از طایفۀ امیر ۱٬۰۵۲ نفر؛ از طایفۀ فشحور ۱٬۲۴۷ نفر؛ از طایفۀ حاریم ۱٬۰۱۷ نفر.

37 The descendants of Immer, one thousand fifty-two.

38 The descendants of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.

39 The descendants of Harim, one thousand seventeen.

40 The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the descendants of Hodaviah, seventy-four.

تعداد لاویانی که به وطن برگشتند به شرح زیر است: از طایفه‌های یشوع و قدمی‌ئیل (که از نسل هودویا بودند) ۷۴ نفر؛ خوانندگان و نوازندگان خانۀ خدا (که از نسل آساف بودند) ۱۲۸ نفر؛ نگهبانان خانهٔ خدا (که از نسل شلوم، آطیر، طلمون، عقوب، حطیطا و شوبای بودند) ۱۳۹ نفر.

41 The singers: the descendants of Asaph, one hundred twenty-eight.

42 The descendants of the gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, the descendants of Ater, the descendants of Talmon, the descendants of Akkub, the descendants of Hatita, the descendants of Shobai, in all one hundred thirty-nine.

43 The Nethinim: the descendants of Ziha, the descendants of Hasupha, the descendants of Tabbaoth,

خدمتگزاران خانهٔ خدا که به وطن بازگشتند از طایفه‌های زیر بودند: صیحا، حسوفا، طباعوت، قیروس، سیعها، فادون، لبانه، حجابه، عقوب، حاجاب، شملای، حانان، جدیل، جحر، رآیا، رصین، نقودا، جزام، عزه، فاسیح، بیسای، اسنه، معونیم، نفوسیم، بقبوق، حقوفا، حرحور، بصلوت، محیدا، حرشا، برقوس، سیسرا، تامح، نصیح، حطیفا.

44 the descendants of Keros, the descendants of Siaha, the descendants of Padon,

45 the descendants of Lebanah, the descendants of Hagabah, the descendants of Akkub,

46 the descendants of Hagab, the descendants of Shalmai, the descendants of Hanan,

47 the descendants of Giddel, the descendants of Gahar, the descendants of Reaiah,

48 the descendants of Rezin, the descendants of Nekoda, the descendants of Gazzam,

49 the descendants of Uzza, the descendants of Paseah, the descendants of Besai,

50 the descendants of Asnah, the descendants of Meunim, the descendants of Nephusim,

51 the descendants of Bakbuk, the descendants of Hakupha, the descendants of Harhur,

52 the descendants of Bazluth, the descendants of Mehida, the descendants of Harsha,

53 the descendants of Barkos, the descendants of Sisera, the descendants of Temah,

54 the descendants of Neziah, the descendants of Hatipha.

55 The descendants of Solomon's servants: the descendants of Sotai, the descendants of Hassophereth, the descendants of Peruda,

این افراد نیز که از نسل خادمان سلیمان پادشاه بودند به وطن برگشتند: سوطای، هصوفرت، فرودا، یعله، درقون، جدیل، شفطیا، حطیل، فوخِرِه‌حَظِبائیم و آمی.

56 the descendants of Jaalah, the descendants of Darkon, the descendants of Giddel,

57 the descendants of Shephatiah, the descendants of Hattil, the descendants of Pokereth Hazzebaim, the descendants of Amon.

58 All the Nethinim, and the descendants of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.

خدمتگزاران خانهٔ خدا و نسل خادمان سلیمان پادشاه، جمعاً ۳۹۲ نفر بودند.

59 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not show whether their fathers' house, and their descent, were from Israel:

در این هنگام گروهی دیگر از تل ملح، تل حرشا، کروب، ادان و امیر به اورشلیم و سایر شهرهای یهودا بازگشتند. آنها نمی‌توانستند از طریق نسب نامه‌های خود ثابت کنند که اسرائیلی‌اند.

60 the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.

اینها از طایفه‌های دلایا، طوبیا و نقودا بودند که جمعاً ۶۵۲ نفر می‌شدند.

61 Of the descendants of the priests: the descendants of Habaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.

از کاهنان سه طایفه به نامهای حبایا و هقوص و برزلائی به اورشلیم بازگشتند. (بزرگ طایفهٔ برزلائی همان کسی است که با یکی از دختران برزلائی جلعادی ازدواج کرد و نام خانوادگی او را روی خود گذاشت.)

62 These sought their place among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.

ولی ایشان چون نتوانستند از طریق نسب نامه‌های خود ثابت کنند که از نسل کاهنان هستند، از کهانت اخراج شدند.

63 The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

حاکم یهودیان به ایشان اجازه نداد از قربانیهای سهم کاهنان بخورند تا اینکه به‌وسیلهٔ اوریم و تُمّیم از طرف خداوند معلوم شود که آیا ایشان واقعاً از نسل کاهنان هستند یا نه.

64 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,

پس جمعاً ۴۲٬۳۶۰ نفر به سرزمین یهودا بازگشتند. علاوه بر این تعداد ۷٬۳۳۷ غلام و کنیز و ۲۰۰ نوازنده مرد و زن نیز به وطن بازگشتند.

65 besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.

66 Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;

آنها ۷۳۶ اسب، ۲۴۵ قاطر، ۴۳۵ شتر و ۶٬۷۲۰ الاغ با خود بردند.

67 their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68 Some of the heads of ancestral houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God's house to set it up in its place:

وقتی ایشان به اورشلیم رسیدند، بعضی از سران قوم برای بازسازی خانۀ خداوند هدایای داوطلبانه تقدیم کردند.

69 they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.

هر یک از ایشان به قدر توانایی خود هدیه داد، که روی‌هم‌رفته عبارت بود از: ۵۰۰ کیلوگرم طلا و ۲٬۸۰۰ کیلوگرم نقره و صد دست لباس برای کاهنان.

70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

پس کاهنان، لاویان، خوانندگان و نوازندگان و نگهبانان و خدمتگزاران خانهٔ خدا و بعضی از مردم در اورشلیم و شهرهای اطراف آن ساکن شدند. بقیه قوم نیز به شهرهای خود رفتند.
