Ezekiel 4

1 "You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem:

Y tú, hijo de hombre, toma una tablilla, póntela delante y diseña la ciudad de Jerusalén en ella.

2 and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it all around.

Pon sitio, edifica torres de asedio, levanta terraplenes y pon tropas contra ella y armas militares para romper muros alrededor de ella.

3 Take for yourself an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

Toma también una sartén de hierro y póngala como una pared de hierro entre ti y la ciudad. Dirige contra ella tu cara. Quedará sitiada. Tú la asediarás. Es una señal para la Casa de Israel.

4 "Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.

Recuéstate sobre tu lado izquierdo y pon sobre él la iniquidad de la Casa de Israel. Los días que estés recostado sobre él cargarás la iniquidad de ellos.

5 For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days: so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

Yo te señalo en días los años de la iniquidad de ellos: 390 días, para que lleves la iniquidad de la Casa de Israel.

6 "Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it to you.

Cuando cumplas éstos, te recostarás hacia el lado derecho y llevarás la iniquidad de la Casa de Judá 40 días: un día por cada año.

7 You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.

Luego dirigirás tu cara hacia el asedio de Jerusalén, y con tu brazo descubierto profetizarás contra ella.

8 Look, I lay bands on you, and you shall not turn you from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.

Ahora mira, pondré cuerdas sobre ti, para que no te voltees de un lado al otro, hasta que cumplas los días de tu sitio.

9 "Take for yourself also wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.

Y tú toma para ti trigo, cebada, habas, lentejas, millo y centeno. Échalos en una vasija y con ellos harás pan el número de días que estés recostado a un lado. 390 días comerás de él.

10 Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time you shall eat it.

Comerás tu alimento por peso: 1,1 kilogramos por día. Lo comerás de tiempo en tiempo.

11 You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time you shall drink.

Beberás el agua por medida: la sexta parte de una medida de 3,6 litros. La beberás de tiempo en tiempo.

12 You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man."

Comerás también pan de cebada que cocerás delante de ellos sobre excremento humano.

13 The LORD said, "Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them."

Entonces Yavé dijo: Así los hijos de Israel comerán su pan impuro entre las naciones a donde Yo los disperse.

14 Then I said, "Ah Lord GOD. Look, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth."

Y dije: ¡Ay, ʼAdonay Yavé! En verdad, nunca fui contaminado. Desde mi juventud hasta ahora, no comí cosa mortecina ni despedazada por las fieras, ni entró en mi boca carne repugnante.

15 Then he said to me, "Look, I have given you cow's dung for man's dung, and you shall prepare your bread thereon."

Entonces Él me respondió: Mira, te permito usar estiércol de ganado vacuno en vez de excremento humano para que prepares tu pan.

16 Moreover he said to me, "Son of man, look, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay:

Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, mira, quiebro el sustento de pan en Jerusalén. Comerán el pan por peso y con angustia. Beberán el agua por medida y con aflicción,

17 that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.

para que les falte el pan y el agua, queden desmayados unos y otros, y se debiliten progresivamente a causa de su iniquidad.
