Psalms 98

1 [A Psalm.] Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him.

Ein Psalm. Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied!

2 The LORD has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.

Der HERR hat kundgetan sein hilfreiches Tun, vor den Augen der Völker seine Gerechtigkeit offenbart.

3 He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. Every part of the earth has seen the salvation of our God.

Er hat gedacht seiner Gnade und Treue gegenüber dem Hause Israel: alle Enden der Erde haben geschaut die Heilstat unsers Gottes.

4 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth. Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises.

Jauchzet dem HERRN, alle Lande, brecht in Jubel aus und spielt!

5 Sing praises to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody.

Spielet zu Ehren des HERRN auf der Zither, auf der Zither und mit lautem Gesang,

6 With trumpets and sound of the ram's horn, make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD.

mit Trompeten und Posaunenschall! Jauchzt vor dem HERRN, dem König!

7 Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.

Es tose das Meer und was darin wimmelt, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner!

8 Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together.

Die Ströme sollen in die Hände klatschen, die Berge allesamt jubeln

9 Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

vor dem HERRN, wenn er kommt, zu richten die Erde. Richten wird er den Erdkreis mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker nach Gebühr.
