Romans 7
1 Or do you not know, brothers (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has authority over a person for as long as he lives?
ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜୀବିତ ଥାଏ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଯେ ତାହାର ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରେ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ? ମୁଁ ତ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଜାଣିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି।
2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜୀବିତ ଥାଏ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ସହିତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆବଦ୍ଧ ଥାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ମରିଗଲେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବିବାହ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ।
3 So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she is called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man.
ଅତଏବ, ସ୍ୱାମୀ ବଞ୍ଚି ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯଦି ଅନ୍ୟ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତାହାକୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରିଣୀ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯିବ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ସ୍ୱାମୀ ମରିଯାଏ, ତେବେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବିବାହ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ଆଉ ଯଦି ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରିଣୀ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ।
4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Messiah, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we may bear fruit to God.
ଏଣୁ ହେ ମୋହର ଭାଇମାନେ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ ହୋଇଅଛ, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଅ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଫଳ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ଉତ୍ଥାପିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଅ।
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit for death.
କାରଣ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶରୀରର ବଶରେ ଥିଲୁ, ସେତେବେଳେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପାପାଭିଳାଷଗୁଡ଼ାକ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଫଳ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବାକୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାଧନ କରୁଥିଲା,
6 But now we have been released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆବଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲୁ, ସେଥିପ୍ରତି ମୃତ ହୋଇ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ; ଏଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆକ୍ଷରିକ ପୁରାତନ ଭାବରେ ଦାସ୍ୟକର୍ମ ନ କରି ଆତ୍ମାରେ ନୂତନ ଭାବରେ ଦାସ୍ୟକର୍ମ କରୁଅଛୁ।
7 What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not. However, I would not have known sin, except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness, unless the law had said, "Do not covet."
ତେବେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ କହିବା? ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କଅଣ ପାପ? ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ। ବରଂ ପାପ କଅଣ, ତାହା ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ବିନା ମୁଁ ଜାଣି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତି; କାରଣ ଲୋଭ କର ନାହିଁ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଏହା କହି ନ ଥିଲେ, ଲୋଭ କଅଣ, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତି।
8 But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
କିନ୍ତୁ ପାପ ସୁଯୋଗ ପାଇ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ସବୁପ୍ରକାର ଲୋଭ ଜନ୍ମାଇଲା; କାରଣ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ବିନା ପାପ ମୃତ।
9 I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin became alive, and I died.
ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ଏ କ ସମୟରେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ବିନା ଜୀବିତ ଥିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଆସନ୍ତେ ପାପ ଜୀବିତ ହେଲା, ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ମୃତ ହେଲି;
10 The commandment, which was for life, this I found to be for death;
ସେଥିରେ ଜୀବନଦାୟକ ଯେଉଁ ଆଜ୍ଞା, ତାହା ମୋʼ ପକ୍ଷରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଦାୟକ ବୋଲି ଜଣାଗଲା।
11 for sin, taking the opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
କାରଣ ପାପ ସୁଯୋଗ ପାଇ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋତେ ପ୍ରତାରଣା କଲା, ପୁଣି, ତାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋତେ ବଧ କଲା।
12 Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.
ଅତଏବ, ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପବିତ୍ର, ପୁଣି, ଆଜ୍ଞା ପବିତ୍ର, ନ୍ୟାୟସଙ୍ଗତ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ।
13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Absolutely not. But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, by working death to me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceeding sinful.
ତେବେ, ଯାହା ଉତ୍ତମ, ତାହା କି ମୋʼ ପକ୍ଷରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଦାୟକ ହେଲା? ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ। କିନ୍ତୁ ପାପ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଦାୟକ ହେଲା, ଯେପରି ଯାହା ଉତ୍ତମ, ତାହା ଦେଇ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ସାଧନ କରିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପାପ, ପାପ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ, ପୁଣି, ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପାପ ଅତିଶୟ ପାପମୟ ହୁଏ।
14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.
ଯେଣୁ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଯେ ଆତ୍ମିକ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଶାରୀରିକ, ପାପର କ୍ରୀତଦାସ।
15 For I do not know what I am doing. For I do not practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଯାହା କରେ, ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ; ଯେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଯାହା ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତାହା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଯାହା ମୁଁ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ତାହା ହିଁ କରେ।
16 But if I do what I do not want to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାହା ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ଯଦି କରେ, ତେବେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଯେ ଉତ୍ତମ, ତାହା ମୁଁ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ।
17 So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ଆଉ ତାହା କରୁ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ପାପ ତାହା କରୁଅଛି।
18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For the desire is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
କାରଣ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ମୋʼ ଶରୀରରେ ଯେକୌଣସି ଉତ୍ତମ ବିଷୟ ବାସ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ଯେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରିପାରୁଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାହା ଉତ୍ତମ, ତାହା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ।
19 For the good which I desire, I do not do; but the evil which I do not desire, that I practice.
କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତାହା କରେ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ମନ୍ଦ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା କରେ।
20 But if what I do not desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାହା ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ଯଦି କରେ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ତାହା ଆଉ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ପାପ ତାହା କରେ।
21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
ଅତଏବ, ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଯେ ମନ୍ଦ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ, ଏହି ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ମୋʼଠାରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରେ, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଦେଖୁଅଛି।
22 For I delight in God's law in my inner being,
କାରଣ ଆନ୍ତରିକ ପୁରୁଷର ଭାବାନୁସାରେ ମୁଁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରେ,
23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ମୋହର ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭିନ୍ନ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦେଖେ, ତାହା ମୋହର ମନର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ବିପକ୍ଷରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରେ, ଆଉ ମୋହର ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗରେ ଯେଉଁ ପାପର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଅଛି, ମୋତେ ସେଥିର ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିଦିଏ।
24 What a wretched man I am. Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?
ହାୟ, ଦୁର୍ଭାଗ୍ୟ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ମୋତେ ଏହି ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଶରୀରରୁ କିଏ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବ?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus (the) Messiah, our Lord. So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.
ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉଦ୍ଧାର ହେତୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ହେଉ। ଅତଏବ, ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ମନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଦାସ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଶରୀର ଦ୍ୱାରା ପାପ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଦାସ ଅଟେ।
