< Romans 1 >

1 Paul, a servant of Messiah Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
Nnwoma yi firi me, Paulo, Yesu Kristo ɔsomfoɔ a wɔayi me sɛ ɔsɛnkafoɔ a wɔasoma me sɛ menkɔka Onyankopɔn asɛmpa no nkyɛn.
2 which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,
Wɔnam Onyankopɔn adiyifoɔ so dii kan hyɛɛ asɛmpa no ho nkɔm wɔ Apam Dada no mu.
3 concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,
Saa bɔhyɛ yi fa ne Ba Yesu Kristo a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade a ɔba ma wɔwoo no sɛ akɔkoaa too Ɔhene Dawid abusua mu no ho.
4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus (the) Messiah our Lord,
Na Honhom Kronkron da no adi pefee sɛ Yesu Kristo yɛ Onyankopɔn Ba, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔnyanee no firii awufoɔ mu.
5 through whom we received grace and the office of apostle, for obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;
Ɛnam Kristo so enti na Onyankopɔn maa meyɛɛ ɔsomafoɔ maa Kristo, sɛdeɛ nnipa nyinaa nam gyidie so bɛyɛ ɔsetie ama Onyankopɔn.
6 among whom you are also called to belong to Jesus (the) Messiah;
Mo a mowɔ Roma a Onyankopɔn afrɛ mo sɛ mommɛyɛ Kristo akyidifoɔ no nso, moka ho bi.
7 to all who are in Rome, loved by God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.
Ɛno enti, meretwerɛ mo a mowɔ Roma nyinaa a Onyankopɔn dɔ mo na wafrɛ mo sɛ mommɛyɛ nʼakyidifoɔ no: Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛfiri yɛn agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus (the) Messiah for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
Ansa na mɛka biribiara no, menam Yesu Kristo so da me Onyankopɔn ase ma mo nyinaa, ɛfiri sɛ mo gyidie a mowɔ no aduru ewiase afanan nyinaa.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how I constantly mention you
Onyankopɔn a mede mʼakoma nyinaa som no, na menam asɛmpa a menam ne Ba so ka no nim sɛ, deɛ meka no yɛ nokorɛ. Onyankopɔn nim sɛ mekae mo daa.
10 always in my prayers, requesting, if by any means now at last I may succeed by the will of God to come to you.
Ɛberɛ biara a mebɔ mpaeɛ no, mesrɛ Awurade sɛ ɔmmoa mma mentumi mmɛsra mo seesei ara.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you;
Ɛfiri sɛ, mepere mehwehwɛ sɛ, mɛhunu mo na maboa mo ama moanya Onyankopɔn honhom mu nhyira na ahyɛ mo den.
12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
Deɛ mekyerɛ ne sɛ, me ne mo nyinaa bɛnya honhom mu ahoɔden ɛberɛ korɔ mu a yɛde bɛhyɛ yɛn ho yɛn ho gyidie mu den.
13 Now I do not desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you, and was hindered so far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other non-Jewish people.
Me nuanom, monkae sɛ ɛberɛ biara a mɛyɛ mʼadwene sɛ merebɛsra mo no, na biribi abɛbɔ mu. Mepɛ sɛ mesakra nnipa adwene wɔ mo mu sɛdeɛ mayɛ wɔ amanamanmufoɔ mu no.
14 I have an obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
Mo ne obiara, wɔn a wɔn ani ate ne wɔn a wɔn ani nteeɛ, wɔn a wɔasua adeɛ ne wɔn a wɔnsuaa adeɛ nyinaa ho asɛm yɛ mʼasodie.
15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
Ɛno enti, mede mʼahoɔden a mewɔ nyinaa aboa me ho sɛ mɛba mo nkyɛn wɔ Roma abɛka Onyankopɔn asɛmpa no akyerɛ mo.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.
Mʼani nwu Asɛmpa no ho, ɛfiri sɛ ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn tumi a ɔnam so gye wɔn a wɔwɔ gyidie nyinaa nkwa; Yudafoɔ kane ɛnna amanamanmufoɔ no nso.
17 For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous will live by faith."
Asɛmpa no kyerɛ yɛn sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn ma yɛyɛ ateneneefoɔ, na ɛnam gyidie so na wama yɛayɛ saa. Sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka no, ɔteneneeni firi gyidie mu bɛnya nkwa.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth by unrighteousness,
Onyankopɔn da nʼabufuo adi firi ɔsoro de tia nnebɔneyɛfoɔ nyinaa ne nnipa a wɔde nokorɛ no hinta afoforɔ no.
19 because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Ɛfiri sɛ Onyankopɔn ada ne nokwasɛm no adi wɔ wɔn mu, na ɔde ne ho nimdeɛ ahyɛ wɔn akoma mu.
20 For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. So they are without excuse. (aïdios g126)
Ɛfiri ɛberɛ a Onyankopɔn bɔɔ ewiase no, ne tumi a ɛwɔ hɔ daa no ne ne nyamesu no ada adi. Nnipa nam Onyankopɔn abɔdeɛ so tumi hunu saa nneɛma yi, enti wɔnni anoyie biara. (aïdios g126)
21 Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but their thinking became nonsense, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Wɔnim Onyankopɔn, nanso wɔmfa ne anidie a ɛfata no no mma no na wɔnna no ase nso. Ayɛ saa ma wɔn adwene mu nnɔ na esum aduru mu.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Wɔka sɛ wɔyɛ anyansafoɔ nanso wɔyɛ nkwaseafoɔ.
23 and traded the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal humans, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God also abandoned them in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves,
Ɛno enti, Onyankopɔn gyaa wɔn maa afideɛ a ɛfiri wɔn akoma mu, ɛno enti, wɔne wɔn ho wɔn ho yɛɛ aniwudeɛ nso.
25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Wɔde Onyankopɔn ho nokwasɛm no sesaa atorɔsɛm na wɔsomm abɔdeɛ sene Ɔbɔadeɛ a daa wɔkamfo no no. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 For this reason, God abandoned them to their degrading passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature.
Esiane saa enti, Onyankopɔn gyaa wɔn maa honam mu akɔnnɔ a ɛyɛ aniwudeɛ. Na mpo wɔn mmaa fa wɔn yɔnkonom mmaa.
27 Likewise also the men, giving up natural relations with women, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.
Saa ara nso na na mmarima ne mmaa nna, na mmom, bɔne akɔnnɔ hyɛɛ wɔn maa wɔne wɔn ho wɔn ho daeɛ nam so nyaa akatua a ɛsɛ wɔn.
28 Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God abandoned them to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not right;
Esiane sɛ nnipa poo Onyankopɔn ho nokorɛ no enti, wɔfaa wɔn adwemmɔne so yɛɛ nneɛma a ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ mmom.
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,
Amumuyɛ ahodoɔ nyinaa, bɔne, anibereɛ ne nnebɔne hyɛɛ wɔn ma. Nitan, awudie, akasakasa, nsisie ne ɔbra bɔne nso ka ho. Wɔdii nsekuro,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
kaa nsɛm a ɛmfata faa afoforɔ ho; wɔkyirii Onyankopɔn; wɔyɛɛ atutupɛ, ahantan ne ahomasoɔ. Na daa wɔdwene sɛ wɔbɛyɛ bɔne. Wɔantie wɔn awofoɔ asɛm.
31 foolish, promise-breakers, heartless, unforgiving, unmerciful;
Na wɔnni suban; na wɔnni wɔn bɔhyɛ so; na wɔnni ayamyɛ ne ahummɔborɔ ma afoforɔ.
32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
Na wɔnim sɛ Onyankopɔn mmara kyerɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔtena ase saa kwan so no sɛ owuo. Nanso wɔnko ara anyɛ saa afideɛ no, na mmom, wɔpenee afoforɔ a wɔyɛɛ saa bɔne korɔ no ara bi no so.
