Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me, and is a safeguard for you.
Übrigens, meine Brüder, freuet euch in dem Herrn! Euch dasselbe zu schreiben, ist mir nicht verdrießlich, für euch aber ist es sicher.
2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision.
Sehet auf die Hunde, sehet auf die bösen Arbeiter, sehet auf die Zerschneidung.
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Messiah Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
Denn wir sind die Beschneidung, die wir durch den Geist Gottes dienen und uns Christi Jesu rühmen und nicht auf Fleisch vertrauen;
4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:
wiewohl ich auch auf Fleisch Vertrauen habe. Wenn irgend ein anderer sich dünkt, auf Fleisch zu vertrauen, ich noch mehr:
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;
Beschnitten am achten Tage, vom Geschlecht Israel, vom Stamme Benjamin, Hebräer von Hebräern; was das Gesetz betrifft, ein Pharisäer;
6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.
was den Eifer betrifft, ein Verfolger der Versammlung; was die Gerechtigkeit betrifft, die im Gesetz ist, tadellos erfunden.
7 However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Messiah.
Aber was irgend mir Gewinn war, habe ich um Christi willen für Verlust geachtet;
8 More than that, I count all things to be a loss compared to the far greater value of knowing Messiah Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Messiah
ja, wahrlich, ich achte auch alles für Verlust wegen der Vortrefflichkeit der Erkenntnis Christi Jesu, meines Herrn, um dessentwillen ich alles eingebüßt habe und es für Dreck achte, auf daß ich Christum gewinne
9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
und in ihm erfunden werde, indem ich nicht meine Gerechtigkeit habe, die aus dem Gesetz ist, sondern die durch den Glauben an Christum ist, die Gerechtigkeit aus Gott durch den Glauben;
10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
um ihn zu erkennen und die Kraft seiner Auferstehung und die Gemeinschaft seiner Leiden, indem ich seinem Tode gleichgestaltet werde,
11 if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
ob ich auf irgend eine Weise hingelangen möge zur Auferstehung aus den Toten.
12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Messiah Jesus.
Nicht daß ich es schon ergriffen habe oder schon vollendet sei; ich jage ihm aber nach, ob ich es auch ergreifen möge, indem ich auch von Christo [Jesu] ergriffen bin.
13 Brothers, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forward to the things which are ahead,
Brüder, ich halte mich selbst nicht dafür, es ergriffen zu haben;
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Jesus.
eines aber tue ich: Vergessend was dahinten, und mich ausstreckend nach dem, was vorn ist, jage ich, das Ziel anschauend, hin zu dem Kampfpreis der Berufung Gottes nach oben in Christo Jesu.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.
So viele nun vollkommen sind, laßt uns also gesinnt sein; und wenn ihr etwas anders gesinnt seid, so wird euch Gott auch dies offenbaren.
16 Nevertheless, to what we have attained, let us walk by the same rule, being of the same mind.
Doch wozu wir gelangt sind, laßt uns in denselben Fußstapfen wandeln.
17 Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.
Seid zusammen meine Nachahmer, Brüder, und sehet hin auf die, welche also wandeln, wie ihr uns zum Vorbilde habt.
18 For many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you with tears, live as enemies of the cross of Messiah,
Denn viele wandeln, von denen ich euch oft gesagt habe, nun aber auch mit Weinen sage, daß sie die Feinde des Kreuzes Christi sind:
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who think about earthly things.
deren Ende Verderben, deren Gott der Bauch, und deren Ehre in ihrer Schande ist, die auf das Irdische sinnen.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah;
Denn unser Bürgertum ist in den Himmeln, von woher wir auch den Herrn Jesus Christus als Heiland erwarten,
21 who will transform our lowly body into the likeness of his glorious body, according to the power by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.
der unseren Leib der Niedrigkeit umgestalten wird zur Gleichförmigkeit mit seinem Leibe der Herrlichkeit, nach der wirksamen Kraft, mit der er vermag, auch alle Dinge sich zu unterwerfen.
