Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Messiah Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,
Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús, y el hermano Timoteo, al querido Filemón, colaborador nuestro,
2 and to Apphia our sister, to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
y a Apia, la hermana, y a Arquipo nuestro compañero de armas, y a la Iglesia que está en tu casa:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.
gracia a vosotros y paz, de parte de Dios Nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.
4 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
Doy gracias a mi Dios, haciendo sin cesar memoria de ti en mis oraciones,
5 hearing of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
porque oigo hablar de tu caridad y de la fe que tienes para el Señor Jesús y para con todos los santos;
6 that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you in Messiah.
a fin de que la participación de tu fe sea eficaz para que se conozca todo el bien que hay en vosotros en relación con Cristo.
7 For I have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
Tuve mucho gozo y consuelo con motivo de tu caridad, por cuanto los corazones de los santos han hallado alivio por ti, hermano.
8 Therefore, though I have all boldness in Messiah to command you that which is appropriate,
Por lo cual, aunque tengo toda libertad en Cristo para mandarte lo que conviene,
9 yet on the basis of love I rather appeal, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Messiah Jesus.
prefiero, sin embargo, rogarte a título de amor, siendo como soy, Pablo, el anciano y ahora además prisionero de Cristo Jesús.
10 I appeal to you for my child, whom I have become the father of in my chains, Onesimus,
Te ruego, pues, por mi hijo Onésimo, a quien he engendrado entre cadenas,
11 who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
el cual en un tiempo te fue inútil, mas ahora es muy útil para ti y para mí.
12 I am sending back to you, him who is my very heart,
Te lo devuelvo; tú, empero, recíbelo a él como a mi propio corazón.
13 whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the gospel.
Quisiera retenerlo junto a mí, para que en tu nombre me sirviese en las cadenas por el Evangelio;
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
pero sin consultarte no quise hacer nada, para que tu beneficio no fuese como forzado, sino voluntario.
15 For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while, that you would have him forever, (aiōnios g166)
Quizás por esto él se ha apartado por un tiempo, a fin de que lo tengas para siempre, (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
no ya como siervo, sino más que siervo como hermano amado, amado para mí en particular, pero ¡cuánto más para ti, no solo en la carne sino en el Señor!
17 If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
Si pues me tienes a mí por compañero, acógelo como a mí mismo.
18 But if he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, put that to my account.
Si en algo te ha perjudicado o te debe, ponlo a mi cuenta.
19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
Yo Pablo lo escribo con mi propia mano; yo lo pagaré, por no decirte que tú, tú mismo, te me debes.
20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Messiah.
Sí, hermano, obtenga yo de ti gozo en el Señor, alivia mi corazón en Cristo.
21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
Te escribo, confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que harás todavía más de lo que digo.
22 Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
Y al mismo tiempo prepara hospedaje para mí; pues espero que por vuestras oraciones os he de ser restituido.
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Messiah Jesus, greets you,
Te saluda Epafras, mi compañero de cautiverio, en Cristo Jesús,
24 as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

25 The grace of the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah be with your spirit.
La gracia del Señor Jesucristo sea con vuestro espíritu. Amén.
