Matthew 4
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
১তাৰ পাছত চয়তানে যেন যীচুক পৰীক্ষা কৰিব পাৰে, সেয়ে পবিত্র আত্মাই তেওঁক মৰুপ্ৰান্তলৈ লৈ গ’ল।
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.
২তাত চল্লিশ দিন আৰু চল্লিশ ৰাতি উপবাসে থকাৰ পাছত যীচুৰ ভোক লাগিল।
3 And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
৩তেতিয়া চয়তানে আহি তেওঁক ক’লে, “আপুনি যদি ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ হয়, তেনেহলে এই শিলবোৰ পিঠা হবলৈ আজ্ঞা দিয়ক।”
4 But he answered and said, "It is written, 'Humankind cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
৪তাতে তেওঁ উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “শাস্ত্রত লিখা আছে, মানুহ কেৱল পিঠাৰে জীয়াই নাথাকে, কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰৰ মুখৰ পৰা ওলোৱা প্রত্যেকটো বাক্যৰেহে জীয়াই থাকে।”
5 Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
৫তেতিয়া চয়তানে তেওঁক পবিত্ৰ নগৰ যিৰূচালেম মন্দিৰৰ কলচীৰ ওপৰলৈ লৈ গ’ল;
6 and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, 'He will put his angels in charge of you.' and, 'In their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
৬আৰু যীচুক ক’লে, “আপুনি যদি ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ হয়, তেনেহলে নিজকে তললৈ পেলাই দিয়ক; কিয়নো শাস্ত্রত এইদৰে লিখা আছে, তেওঁ নিজৰ দূত সকলক তোমাৰ অর্থে আজ্ঞা দিব আৰু তোমাৰ ভৰি যেন শিলত খুন্দা নাখায়, এই কাৰণে তেওঁলোকে তোমাক হাতেৰে দাঙি ধৰিব।”
7 Jesus said to him, "Again, it is written, 'Do not test the Lord your God.'"
৭যীচুৱে তাক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ প্ৰভু পৰমেশ্বৰক পৰীক্ষা নকৰিবা, এই বুলিও শাস্ত্রত লিখা আছে।”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory.
৮তাৰ পাছত আকৌ চয়তানে তেওঁক এক অতি ওখ ঠাইলৈ লৈ গ’ল আৰু জগতৰ সকলো ৰাজ্যৰ সৈতে সেইবোৰৰ ঐশ্বৰ্য দেখুৱালে।
9 And he said to him, "I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me."
৯চয়তানে তেওঁক ক’লে, “আপুনি যদি মূৰ দোৱাই মোৰ উপাসনা কৰে, তেনেহলে এই সকলোকে মই আপোনাক দিম।”
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan. For it is written, 'You are to worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
১০তেতিয়া যীচুৱে তাক ক’লে, “গুচি যা চয়তান! কিয়নো শাস্ত্রত এই বুলিও লিখা আছে, তোমাৰ প্ৰভু পৰমেশ্বৰক প্ৰণিপাত কৰা আৰু কেৱল তেওঁৰেই আৰাধনা কৰা।”
11 Then the devil left him, and look, angels came and served him.
১১তেতিয়া চয়তানে তেওঁক এৰি গুচি গ’ল আৰু স্বৰ্গৰ দূত সকল আহি যীচুৰ শুশ্রূষা কৰিলে।
12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.
১২যীচুৱে যেতিয়া যোহনক বন্দী কৰি নিয়া বুলি শুনিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ গালীল প্রদেশলৈ গ’ল।
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
১৩তেওঁ নাচৰত এৰি জবূলূন আৰু নপ্তালী এলেকাৰ গালীল সাগৰৰ তীৰত থকা কফৰনাহূমলৈ গৈ, তাত বাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
১৪যিচয়া ভাববাদীৰ দ্বাৰাই এই যি বচন কোৱা হৈছিল তাক পূর্ণ কৰিবলৈ এই সকলো ঘটিল:
15 "The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
১৫“জবূলূন দেশ আৰু নপ্তালী দেশ, সাগৰৰ তীৰত, যৰ্দ্দনৰ সিপাৰত অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ গালীল!
16 The people sitting in darkness have seen a great light, and those living in the land and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned."
১৬যি সকল লোকে অন্ধকাৰত বাস কৰি আছিল তেওঁলোকে মহা-জ্যোতি দেখিবলৈ পালে। যি সকল লোকে মৃত্যুছাঁয়াৰ দেশত বাস কৰিছিল তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত দিপ্তী প্রকাশিত হ’ল।”
17 From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
১৭সেই সময়ৰে পৰা যীচুৱে এই বুলি প্রচাৰ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে, “তোমালোকে মন-পালটন কৰা; কিয়নো স্বৰ্গৰাজ্য ওচৰ আহি পালে।”
18 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
১৮পাছত যীচুৱে গালীল সাগৰৰ পাৰত খোজকাঢ়ি ফুৰোতে দুজন ভাই-ককাই চিমোন, যাক পিতৰো বোলে আৰু তেওঁৰ ভায়েক আন্দ্ৰিয়ক, সাগৰত জাল পেলোৱা দেখিলে। কিয়নো তেওঁলোক মাছমৰীয়া আছিল।
19 And he said to them, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of people."
১৯যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মোক অনুসৰণ কৰি আহা, মই তোমালোকক মানুহ ধৰা জালোৱা কৰিম।”
20 And they immediately left their nets and followed him.
২০তেতিয়াই তেওঁলোকে জাল এৰি তেওঁৰ পাছে পাছে গ’ল।
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.
২১তাৰ পৰা আগুৱাই গৈ যীচুৱে যাকোব আৰু যোহন নামৰ আন দুজন ভাই-ককাইক দেখা পালে। তেওঁলোক চিবদিয়ৰ পুতেক আছিল। বাপেক চিবদিয়ৰ সৈতে তেওঁলোকে নাৱত বহি নিজৰ নিজৰ জালবোৰ ঠিক কৰি আছিল। যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক মাতিলে।
22 And they immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
২২তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ নাও আৰু বাপেককো এৰি যীচুৰ পাছে পাছে গ’ল।
23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
২৩যীচুৱে গালীল প্রদেশৰ সকলো ঠাইতে থকা নাম-ঘৰবোৰত গৈ উপদেশ দিবলৈ ধৰিলে৷ ঈশ্বৰৰ ৰাজ্যৰ শুভবাৰ্তা প্রচাৰ কৰিলে; অাৰু লোক সকলৰ মাজৰ পৰা নানা ধৰণৰ ৰোগ-ব্যাধিত থকা লোকক সুস্থ কৰিলে।
24 And the report about him went out into all Syria, and they brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, and epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
২৪সমগ্র চিৰিয়া দেশতে তেওঁৰ খ্যাতি বিয়পি পৰিল আৰু লোক সকলে নানা ধৰণৰ বেমাৰ আৰু যন্ত্রণাত আক্রান্ত লোক, ভূতে পোৱা লোক, মৃগী ৰোগী আৰু পক্ষাঘাতগ্রস্ত আদি নানা ধৰণৰ ৰোগী সকলক তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ আহিল। যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক সুস্থ কৰিলে।
25 And large crowds from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
২৫তাতে গালীল, দিকাপলি, যিৰূচালেম, আৰু যিহুদীয়া লগতে যৰ্দ্দনৰ সিপাৰৰ পৰাও বহু মানুহ দল বান্ধি যীচুৰ পাছে পাছে আহিল।
