Mark 2
1 And when he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house.
Und Tage waren vergangen, da kam er wieder nach Kapernaum, und es verlautete, daß er zu Hause sei.
2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
Und es versammelten sich viele Leute, so daß selbst vor der Thüre nicht mehr Raum war, und er redete zu ihnen das Wort.
3 And four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
Und sie kommen zu ihm mit einem Gelähmten, von vier Mann getragen.
4 And when they could not bring him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
Und da sie mit demselben nicht zu ihm gelangen konnten, der Menge wegen, deckten sie da wo er war das Dach ab, und ließen durch die Lücke die Bahre herab, auf der der Gelähmte lag.
5 And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you."
Und da Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sagte er zu dem Gelähmten: Kind, deine Sünden sind vergeben.
6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
Es saßen aber etliche von den Schriftgelehrten dabei, die machten sich Gedanken in ihren Herzen:
7 "Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?"
wie mag der so reden? das ist Lästerung! wer kann Sünden vergeben, außer der einige Gott?
8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
Und alsbald erkannte Jesus in seinem Geiste, daß sie sich solche Gedanken machten, und sagt zu ihnen: was macht ihr euch solche Gedanken in euren Herzen?
9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?'
Was ist leichter? dem Gelähmten sagen: deine Sünden sind vergeben? oder sagen: stehe auf, nimm deine Bahre und wandle?
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins", he said to the paralytic,
Damit ihr aber wisset, daß der Sohn des Menschen Vollmacht hat, Sünden zu vergeben auf der Erde (zu dem Gelähmten sich wendend)
11 "I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house."
ich sage dir: Stehe auf, nimm deine Bahre, und gehe heim.
12 And he arose immediately, and took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this."
Und er stand auf, nahm alsbald seine Bahre und gieng hinaus vor aller Augen, so daß alle bestürzt wurden, und Gott priesen und sagten: so haben wir noch nichts gesehen.
13 And he went out again by the seaside. All the crowd came to him, and he taught them.
Und er gieng wieder hinaus an den See, und alles Volk kam zu ihm, und er lehrte sie.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, "Follow me." And he arose and followed him.
Und da er weiter zog, sah er Levi den Sohn des Alphäus an der Zollstätte sitzen, und sagt zu ihm: folge mir. Und er stand auf und folgte ihm.
15 It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
Und es geschieht, daß er in seinem Hause zu Tische saß, und es saßen viele Zöllner und Sünder bei Jesus und seinen Jüngern; denn es waren viele in seinem Anhang.
16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, said to his disciples, "Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?"
Und Schriftgelehrte von den Pharisäern, da sie sahen, daß er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern esse, sagten sie zu seinen Jüngern: ißt und trinkt er denn mit den Zöllnern und Sündern?
17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
Und da es Jesus hörte, sagt er zu ihnen: Nicht die Starken bedürfen des Arztes, sondern die Kranken; nicht Gerechte zu rufen bin ich gekommen, sondern Sünder.
18 And John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, "Why do the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"
Und die Jünger Johannes' und die Pharisäer pflegten zu fasten. Und sie kommen und sagen zu ihm: warum fasten die Jünger Johannes' und die Jünger der Pharisäer, deine Jünger aber fasten nicht?
19 And Jesus said to them, "Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
Und Jesus sagte zu ihnen: können denn die Hochzeitleute fasten, so lange der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist? So lange sie den Bräutigam bei sich haben, können sie nicht fasten.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then will they fast in that day.
Es werden aber Tage kommen, da der Bräutigam von ihnen genommen wird, und dann werden sie fasten an jenem Tage.
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
Niemand setzt einen ungewalkten Zeuglappen auf ein altes Kleid; oder aber der Einsatz reißt ab, der neue am alten, und es entsteht ein schlimmerer Riß.
22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and the skins will be destroyed; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins."
Und niemand legt neuen Wein in alte Schläuche; oder aber der Wein zerreißt die Schläuche, und es geht der Wein zu Grunde und die Schläuche. Sondern neuen Wein in neue Schläuche.
23 And it happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
Und es geschah, daß er am Sabbat durch die Kornfelder dahinzog, und seine Jünger fiengen an unter Aehrenraufen des Wegs zu ziehen.
24 And the Pharisees said to him, "Look, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?"
Und die Pharisäer sagten zu ihm: siehe, wie sie am Sabbat thun, was man nicht thun darf.
25 And he said to them, "Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?
Und er sagt zu ihnen: habt ihr noch nie gelesen, was David that, als er Mangel litt und ihn und seine Genossen hungerte?
26 How he entered into the house of God in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?"
Er gieng in das Haus Gottes unter dem Hohenpriester Abiathar und aß die Schaubrote, die niemand essen darf außer die Priester, und gab auch seinen Genossen davon.
27 And he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for people, not people for the Sabbath.
Und er sagte zu ihnen: der Sabbat ist um des Menschen willen da, und nicht der Mensch um des Sabbats willen.
28 Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath."
Mithin ist der Sohn des Menschen Herr auch über den Sabbat.
