Luke 9
1 He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.
फिर उसने उन बारह को बुलाकर उन्हें सब बदरूहों पर इख़्तियार बख़्शा और बीमारियों को दूर करने की क़ुदरत दी।
2 He sent them forth to proclaim the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
और उन्हें ख़ुदा की बादशाही का ऐलान करने और बीमारों को अच्छा करने के लिए भेजा,
3 And he said to them, "Take nothing for your journey—neither staff, nor pack, nor bread, nor money; neither have two tunics.
और उनसे कहा, “राह के लिए कुछ न लेना, न लाठी, न झोली, न रोटी, न रुपए, न दो दो कुरते रखना।
4 Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.
और जिस घर में दाख़िल हो वहीं रहना और वहीं से रवाना होना;
5 As many as do not receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them."
और जिस शहर के लोग तुम्हें क़ुबूल ना करें, उस शहर से निकलते वक़्त अपने पाँव की धूल झाड़ देना ताकि उन पर गवाही हो।”
6 They departed, and went throughout the villages, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.
पस वो रवाना होकर गाँव गाँव ख़ुशख़बरी सुनाते और हर जगह शिफ़ा देते फिरे।
7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done; and he was very perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,
चौथाई मुल्क का हाकिम हेरोदेस सब अहवाल सुन कर घबरा गया, इसलिए कि कुछ ये कहते थे कि युहन्ना मुर्दों में से जी उठा है,
8 and by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.
और कुछ ये कि एलियाह ज़ाहिर हुआ, और कुछ ये कि क़दीम नबियों में से कोई जी उठा है।
9 Herod said, "John I beheaded, but who is this, about whom I hear such things?" He sought to see him.
मगर हेरोदेस ने कहा, “युहन्ना का तो मैं ने सिर कटवा दिया, अब ये कौन जिसके बारे में ऐसी बातें सुनता हूँ?” पस उसे देखने की कोशिश में रहा।
10 The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them, and withdrew apart to a city called Bethsaida.
फिर रसूलों ने जो कुछ किया था लौटकर उससे बयान किया; और वो उनको अलग लेकर बैतसैदा नाम एक शहर को चला गया।
11 But the crowds, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, and spoke to them of the Kingdom of God, and he cured those who needed healing.
ये जानकर भीड़ उसके पीछे गई और वो ख़ुशी के साथ उनसे मिला और उनसे ख़ुदा की बादशाही की बातें करने लगा, और जो शिफ़ा पाने के मुहताज थे उन्हें शिफ़ा बख़्शी।
12 The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, "Send the crowd away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place."
जब दिन ढलने लगा तो उन बारह ने आकर उससे कहा, “भीड़ को रुख़्सत कर के चारों तरफ़ के गाँव और बस्तियों में जा टिकें और खाने का इन्तिज़ाम करें।” क्यूँकि हम यहाँ वीरान जगह में हैं।
13 But he said to them, "You give them something to eat." They said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people."
उसने उनसे कहा, “तुम ही उन्हें खाने को दो,” उन्होंने कहा, “हमारे पास सिर्फ़ पाँच रोटियाँ और दो मछलियाँ है, मगर हाँ हम जा जाकर इन सब लोगों के लिए खाना मोल ले आएँ।”
14 For they were about five thousand men. He said to his disciples, "Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each."
क्यूँकि वो पाँच हज़ार मर्द के क़रीब थे। उसने अपने शागिर्दों से कहा, “उनको तक़रीबन पचास — पचास की क़तारों में बिठाओ।”
15 They did so, and made them all sit down.
उन्होंने उसी तरह किया और सब को बिठाया।
16 He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.
फिर उसने वो पाँच रोटियाँ और दो मछलियाँ लीं और आसमान की तरफ़ देख कर उन पर बर्क़त बख़्शी, और तोड़कर अपने शागिर्दों को देता गया कि लोगों के आगे रख्खें।
17 They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
उन्होंने खाया और सब सेर हो गए, और उनके बचे हुए बे इस्तेमाल खाने की बारह टोकरियाँ उठाई गईं।
18 It happened, as he was praying alone, that the disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"
जब वो तन्हाई में दुआ कर रहा था और शागिर्द उसके पास थे, तो ऐसा हुआ कि उसने उनसे पूछा, “लोग मुझे क्या कहते हैं?”
19 They answered, "'John the Baptist,' but others say, 'Elijah,' and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again."
उन्होंने जवाब में कहा, “युहन्ना बपतिस्मा देनेवाला और कुछ एलियाह कहते हैं, और कुछ ये कि पुराने नबियों में से कोई जी उठा है।”
20 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "The Messiah of God."
उसने उनसे कहा, “लेकिन तुम मुझे क्या कहते हो?” पतरस ने जवाब में कहा, “ख़ुदावन्द का मसीह।”
21 But he warned them, and commanded them to tell this to no one,
उसने उनको हिदायत करके हुक्म दिया कि ये किसी से न कहना,
22 saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up."
और कहा, “ज़रूर है इब्न — ए — आदम बहुत दुःख उठाए और बुज़ुर्ग और सरदार काहिन और आलिम उसे रद्द करें और वो क़त्ल किया जाए और तीसरे दिन जी उठे।”
23 He said to all, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.
और उसने सब से कहा, “अगर कोई मेरे पीछे आना चाहे तो अपने आप से इनकार करे और हर रोज़ अपनी सलीब उठाए और मेरे पीछे हो ले।
24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.
क्यूँकि जो कोई अपनी जान बचाना चाहे, वो उसे खोएगा और जो कोई मेरी ख़ातिर अपनी जान खोए वही उसे बचाएगा।
25 For what does it profit a person if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?
और आदमी अगर सारी दुनिया को हासिल करे और अपनी जान को खो दे या नुक़्सान उठाए तो उसे क्या फ़ाइदा होगा?
26 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.
क्यूँकि जो कोई मुझ से और मेरी बातों से शरमाएगा, इब्न — ए — आदम भी जब अपने और अपने बाप के और पाक फ़रिश्तों के जलाल में आएगा तो उस से शरमाएगा।
27 But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here, who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Kingdom of God."
लेकिन मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि उनमें से जो यहाँ खड़े हैं कुछ ऐसे हैं कि जब तक ख़ुदा की बादशाही को देख न लें मौत का मज़ा हरगिज़ न चखेंगे।”
28 It happened about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.
फिर इन बातों के कोई आठ रोज़ बाद ऐसा हुआ, कि वो पतरस और यूहन्ना और या'क़ूब को साथ लेकर पहाड़ पर दुआ करने गया।
29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.
जब वो दुआ कर रहा था, तो ऐसा हुआ कि उसके चेहरे की सूरत बदल गई, और उसकी पोशाक सफ़ेद बर्राक़ हो गई।
30 And look, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,
और देखो, दो शख़्स या'नी मूसा और एलियाह उससे बातें कर रहे थे।
31 who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
ये जलाल में दिखाई दिए और उसके इन्तक़ाल का ज़िक्र करते थे, जो येरूशलेम में वाक़े' होने को था।
32 Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.
मगर पतरस और उसके साथी नींद में पड़े थे और जब अच्छी तरह जागे, तो उसके जलाल को और उन दो शख़्सों को देखा जो उसके साथ खड़े थे।
33 It happened, as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tents: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah," not knowing what he said.
जब वो उससे जुदा होने लगे तो ऐसा हुआ कि पतरस ने ईसा से कहा, “ऐ उस्ताद! हमारा यहाँ रहना अच्छा है: पस हम तीन डेरे बनाएँ, एक तेरे लिए एक मूसा के लिए और एक एलियाह के लिए।” लेकिन वो जानता न था कि क्या कहता है।
34 While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.
वो ये कहता ही था कि बादल ने आकर उन पर साया कर लिया, और जब वो बादल में घिरने लगे तो डर गए।
35 A voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him."
और बादल में से एक आवाज़ आई, “ये मेरा चुना हुआ बेटा है, इसकी सुनो।”
36 When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
ये आवाज़ आते ही ईसा अकेला दिखाई दिया; और वो चुप रहे, और जो बातें देखी थीं उन दिनों में किसी को उनकी कुछ ख़बर न दी।
37 It happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a large crowd met him.
दूसरे दिन जब वो पहाड़ से उतरे थे, तो ऐसा हुआ कि एक बड़ी भीड़ उससे आ मिली।
38 And look, a man from the crowd called out, saying, "Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.
और देखो एक आदमी ने भीड़ में से चिल्लाकर कहा, “ऐ उस्ताद! मैं तेरी मिन्नत करता हूँ कि मेरे बेटे पर नज़र कर; क्यूँकि वो मेरा इकलौता है।
39 And look, a spirit seizes him, and all at once he cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams, and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.
और देखो, एक रूह उसे पकड़ लेती है, और वो यकायक चीख़ उठता है; और उसको ऐसा मरोड़ती है कि क़फ़ भर लाता है, और उसको कुचल कर मुश्किल से छोड़ती है।
40 I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they could not."
मैंने तेरे शागिर्दों की मिन्नत की कि उसे निकाल दें, लेकिन वो न निकाल सके।”
41 Jesus answered, "Faithless and perverse generation, how long must I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."
ईसा ने जवाब में कहा, “ऐ कम ईमान वालों मैं कब तक तुम्हारे साथ रहूँगा और तुम्हारी बर्दाश्त करूँगा? अपने बेटे को ले आ।”
42 While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
वो आता ही था कि बदरूह ने उसे पटक कर मरोड़ा और ईसा ने उस नापाक रूह को झिड़का और लड़के को अच्छा करके उसके बाप को दे दिया।
43 They were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
और सब लोग ख़ुदा की शान देखकर हैरान हुए। लेकिन जिस वक़्त सब लोग उन सब कामों पर जो वो करता था ता'ज्जुब कर रहे थे, उसने अपने शागिर्दों से कहा,
44 "Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men."
“तुम्हारे कानों में ये बातें पड़ी रहें, क्यूँकि इब्न — ए — आदम आदमियों के हवाले किए जाने को है।”
45 But they did not understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
लेकिन वो इस बात को समझते न थे, बल्कि ये उनसे छिपाई गई ताकि उसे मा'लूम न करें; और इस बात के बारे में उससे पूछते हुए डरते थे।
46 There arose an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.
फिर उनमें ये बहस शुरू' हुई, कि हम में से बड़ा कौन है?
47 Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,
लेकिन ईसा ने उनके दिलों का ख़याल मा'लूम करके एक बच्चे को लिया, और अपने पास खड़ा करके उनसे कहा,
48 and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one is great."
“जो कोई इस बच्चे को मेरे नाम से क़ुबूल करता है, वो मुझे क़ुबूल करता है; और जो मुझे क़ुबूल करता है, वो मेरे भेजनेवाले को क़ुबूल करता है; क्यूँकि जो तुम में सब से छोटा है वही बड़ा है”
49 John answered, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us."
यूहन्ना ने जवाब में कहा, “ऐ उस्ताद! हम ने एक शख़्स को तेरे नाम से बदरूह निकालते देखा, और उसको मनह' करने लगे, क्यूँकि वो हमारे साथ तेरी पैरवी नहीं करता।”
50 Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against you is for you."
लेकिन ईसा ने उससे कहा, “उसे मनह' न करना, क्यूँकि जो तुम्हारे ख़िलाफ़ नहीं वो तुम्हारी तरफ़ है।”
51 It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,
जब वो दिन नज़दीक आए कि वो ऊपर उठाया जाए, तो ऐसा हुआ कि उसने येरूशलेम जाने को कमर बाँधी।
52 and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
और आगे क़ासिद भेजे, वो जाकर सामरियों के एक गाँव में दाख़िल हुए ताकि उसके लिए तैयारी करें
53 But they did not receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
लेकिन उन्होंने उसको टिकने न दिया, क्यूँकि उसका रुख येरूशलेम की तरफ़ था।
54 When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, "Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and consume them?"
ये देखकर उसके शागिर्द या'क़ूब और यूहन्ना ने कहा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, क्या तू चाहता है कि हम हुक्म दें कि आसमान से आग नाज़िल होकर उन्हें भस्म कर दे [जैसा एलियाह ने किया]?”
55 And he turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not realize what kind of Spirit you belong to.
मगर उसने फिरकर उन्हें झिड़का [और कहा, तुम नहीं जानते कि तुम कैसी रूह के हो। क्यूँकि इब्न — ए — आदम लोगों की जान बरबाद करने नहीं बल्कि बचाने आया है]
56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy people's lives, but to save them." And they went to another village.
फिर वो किसी और गाँव में चले गए।
57 As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, "I want to follow you wherever you go."
जब वो राह में चले जाते थे तो किसी ने उससे कहा, “जहाँ कहीं तू जाए, मैं तेरे पीछे चलूँगा।”
58 And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
ईसा ने उससे कहा, “लोमड़ियों के भठ होते हैं और हवा के परिन्दों के घोंसले, मगर इब्न — ए — आदम के लिए सिर रखने की भी जगह नहीं।”
59 He said to another, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."
फिर उसने दूसरे से कहा, “मेरे पीछे हो ले।” उसने जवाब में कहा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मुझे इजाज़त दे कि पहले जाकर अपने बाप को दफ़्न करूँ।”
60 But Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God."
उसने उससे कहा, “मुर्दों को अपने मुर्दे दफ़्न करने दे, लेकिन तू जाकर ख़ुदा की बादशाही की ख़बर फैला।”
61 Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house."
एक और ने भी कहा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं तेरे पीछे चलूँगा, लेकिन पहले मुझे इजाज़त दे कि अपने घर वालों से रुख़्सत हो आऊँ।”
62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God."
ईसा ने उससे कहा, “जो कोई अपना हाथ हल पर रख कर पीछे देखता है वो ख़ुदा की बादशाही के लायक़ नहीं।”
