Luke 8
1 It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve,
Und es geschah in der Zeit darauf, da zog er in Städten und Dörfern herum, und verkündete das Evangelium vom Reiche Gottes; und mit ihm die Zwölfe,
2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
sowie auch einige Frauen, die von bösen Geistern und Krankheiten geheilt waren, Maria genannt Magdalena, von der sieben Dämonen ausgegangen waren;
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward; Susanna; and many others; who provided for them from their possessions.
und Johanna, die Frau des Chuza des Verwalters des Herodes, und Susanna, und viele andere, die halfen ihnen aus ihrem Vermögen.
4 When a large crowd came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.
Da aber eine große Menge zusammenkam und die Einwohner von Stadt zu Stadt zu ihm herbeizogen, sprach er im Gleichnis:
5 "The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
Der Sämann gieng aus, seinen Samen zu säen. Und da er säte, fiel das eine an den Weg und ward zertreten, und die Vögel des Himmels fraßen es auf,
6 Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
und anderes fiel auf den Fels, und wie es getrieben, verdorrte es, weil es keine Feuchtigkeit hatte;
7 Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.
und anderes fiel mitten unter die Dornen, und die Dornen wuchsen mit heran und erstickten es;
8 Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times." As he said these things, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
und anderes fiel auf das gute Land, und wuchs, und brachte hundertfältige Frucht. Als er dies sagte, rief er: wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre.
9 Then his disciples asked him, "What does this parable mean?"
Es befragten ihn aber seine Jünger, was dieses Gleichnis bedeute.
10 He said, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.'
Er aber sagte: euch ist es gegeben, zu erkennen die Geheimnisse des Reiches Gottes, den andern aber in Gleichnissen, damit sie sehen und nicht sehen, hören und nicht verstehen.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Dieses Gleichnis aber bedeutet das: der Same ist das Wort Gottes.
12 Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
Die aber am Wege, sind die es hören, dann kommt der Teufel und nimmt das Wort von ihrem Herzen, auf daß sie nicht glauben und gerettet werden.
13 Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
Die aber auf dem Felsen, sind es, die wenn sie es hören, das Wort mit Freuden annehmen, und sie haben keine Wurzel, sie glauben für den Augenblick und im Augenblick der Versuchung fallen sie ab.
14 That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
Das aber, was unter die Dornen fiel, das sind die, welche gehört haben, und sie gehen hin und ersticken unter Sorgen und Reichtum und Genüssen des Lebens und kommen nicht zur Reife.
15 That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Das aber im guten Land, das sind die, als welche mit rechtschaffenem Herzen das Wort, das sie gehört, festhalten und Frucht bringen mit Beharrlichkeit.
16 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
Niemand aber, wenn er ein Licht angezündet, bedeckt es mit einem Topf oder setzt es unter ein Bett, sondern er setzt es auf einen Leuchter, damit die Eintretenden das Licht sehen.
17 For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.
Denn es ist nichts verborgen, das nicht offenbar werden wird, und nichts geheim, was nicht erkannt werden und zur Offenbarung kommen soll.
18 So consider carefully how you listen. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever does not have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has."
Sehet nun zu, wie ihr höret. Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden; und wer nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen werden, was er zu haben meint.
19 His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
Es trafen aber bei ihm ein seine Mutter und seine Brüder, und konnten der Menge wegen nicht zu ihm gelangen.
20 It was told him by some saying, "Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you."
Es ward ihm aber gemeldet: deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen und wollen dich sehen.
21 But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it."
Er aber antwortete ihnen: meine Mutter und meine Brüder sind diese, die das Wort Gottes hören und thun.
22 Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So they launched out.
Es geschah aber eines Tags, er und seine Jünger bestiegen ein Schiff, und er sagte zu ihnen: wir wollen auf das andere Ufer des Sees überfahren; und sie stießen ab.
23 But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
Als sie aber dahin fuhren, schlief er ein; und es fiel ein Sturmwind auf den See, und sie bekamen voll und liefen Gefahr.
24 So they came to him, and awoke him, saying, "Master, master, we are dying." And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.
Sie traten aber hinzu, und weckten ihn und sagten: Meister, Meister, wir gehen zu Grund. Als er aber aufwachte, schalt er Wind und Wasserwogen; und sie legten sich und es ward still.
25 He said to them, "Where is your faith?" But they were terrified and astonished, saying to one another, "Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?"
Er sagte aber zu ihnen: wo ist euer Glaube? Sie aber fürchteten und wunderten sich, und sprachen zu einander: wer ist wohl dieser, daß er auch den Winden und dem Wasser befiehlt, und sie gehorchen ihm?
26 They arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.
Und sie fuhren zum Land der Gerasener, welches gegenüber von Galiläa liegt.
27 And when he came out onto the land he was met by a certain man from the town who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and did not live in a house, but in the tombs.
Nachdem er aber ans Land gestiegen war, kam ihm ein Mann aus der Stadt entgegen, welcher Dämonen hatte; seit langer Zeit zog er kein Kleid an, und hielt sich nicht zu Hause auf, sondern unter den Gräbern.
28 When he saw Jesus, he shouted, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, "What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me."
Als er aber Jesus sah, schrie er auf, fiel vor ihm nieder und rief laut: was willst du von mir, Jesus, Sohn des Höchsten? Ich bitte dich, quäle mich nicht.
29 For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
Er befahl nämlich dem unreinen Geiste, von dem Menschen auszugehen; denn er hatte ihn vielmal fortgerissen, und man band ihn mit Fuß- und Handfesseln zur Verwahrung, und er zerriß die Fesseln und wurde von dem Dämon in die Einöde getrieben.
30 Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" He said, "Legion," for many demons had entered into him.
Jesus aber befragte ihn: wie heißt du? er aber sagte: Legion; denn es waren viele Dämonen in ihn gefahren.
Und sie baten ihn, daß er ihnen nicht befehle, in den Abgrund zu fahren. (Abyssos g12)
32 Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.
Es war aber daselbst eine große Schweineherde auf dem Berge zur Weide, und sie baten ihn, ihnen zu gestatten, daß sie in diese fahren, und er gestattete es ihnen.
33 The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.
Die Dämonen aber fuhren aus von dem Menschen und fuhren in die Schweine, und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinab in den See und ertrank.
34 When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
Als aber die Hirten sahen, was geschehen war, flohen sie und meldeten es in der Stadt und den Höfen.
35 Then people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus' feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
Sie kamen aber heraus, zu sehen, was geschehen war, und kamen zu Jesus, und fanden den Menschen da sitzend, von dem die Dämonen ausgegangen waren, bekleidet und vernünftig zu den Füßen Jesus' und sie fürchteten sich.
36 Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
Die aber, welche zugesehen hatten, berichteten ihnen, wie der Dämonische geheilt worden war.
37 All the people of the surrounding region of the Geresenes asked him to leave them, for they were very much afraid; and he entered into the boat and returned.
Und die ganze Bevölkerung der Umgegend der Gerasener bat ihn, daß er sie verlasse, weil sie von großer Furcht erfaßt waren. Er aber bestieg das Schiff und kehrte zurück.
38 But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
Der Mann aber, von welchem die Dämonen ausgegangen waren, bat ihn, ihn begleiten zu dürfen; er aber entließ ihn mit den Worten:
39 "Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you." He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
kehre zurück in dein Haus, und erzähle was Gott an dir gethan. Und er gieng hin und verkündete in der ganzen Stadt, was Jesus an ihm gethan.
40 When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
Als aber Jesus zurückkam, empfieng ihn die Menge; denn alles wartete auf ihn.
41 And look, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus' feet, and pleaded with him to come into his house,
Und siehe, es kam ein Mann mit Namen Jairus, der war Oberer der Synagoge, und er fiel Jesus zu Füßen und bat ihn, in sein Haus zu kommen,
42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the crowds pressed against him.
denn er hatte eine einzige Tochter von ungefähr zwölf Jahren, die lag im Sterben. Als er aber hingieng, drängte ihn die Menge.
43 A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years (who had spent all her living on physicians) and could not be healed by any,
Und eine Frau, die seit zwölf Jahren am Blutfluß litt, und all ihr Vermögen an Aerzte gewendet hatte, und niemand vermochte sie zu heilen,
44 came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
trat von hinten herzu und rührte die Quaste seines Kleides an, und alsbald stand ihr Blutfluß stille.
45 Jesus said, "Who touched me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the crowds press and jostle you."
Und Jesus sagte: wer ist es, der mich angerührt hat? Da es aber alle leugneten, sagte Petrus und seine Genossen: Meister, die Volksmenge drängt und stößt dich.
46 But Jesus said, "Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me."
Jesus aber sagte: es hat mich jemand angerührt; denn ich habe erkannt, wie eine Kraft von mir ausgegangen ist.
47 When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
Da aber die Frau sah, daß sie nicht verborgen geblieben, kam sie zitternd, fiel vor ihm nieder und gab vor allem Volk an, um welcher Ursache willen sie ihn angerührt, und wie sie alsbald geheilt worden war.
48 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace."
Er aber sagte zu ihr: Tochter: dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin im Frieden.
49 While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue's house came, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher."
Wie er noch sprach, kam jemand von dem Synagogenvorsteher mit der Meldung: deine Tochter ist gestorben, bemühe den Meister nicht mehr.
50 But Jesus hearing it, answered him, "Do not be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed."
Da es aber Jesus hörte, wandte er sich an ihn: fürchte dich nicht; glaube nur, so wird sie gerettet werden.
51 When he came to the house, he did not allow anyone to enter in with him, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
Als er aber in das Haus kam, ließ er niemand mit hinein, außer Petrus und Johannes und Jakobus und den Vater und die Mutter des Kindes.
52 All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, "Do not weep. She is not dead, but sleeping."
Sie weinten aber alle und hielten die Klage über sie. Er aber sagte: weinet nicht; sie ist nicht gestorben, sondern sie schläft.
53 They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
Und sie verlachten ihn, da sie wußten, daß sie gestorben war.
54 But he, taking her by the hand, called, saying, "Child, arise."
Er aber faßte sie an der Hand, und rief: Kind, wache auf.
55 Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
Und ihr Geist kehrte zurück und sie stand alsbald auf, und er verordnete, man solle ihr zu essen geben.
56 Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
Und ihre Eltern staunten; er aber befahl ihnen, niemand zu sagen, was geschehen war.
