< Luke 7 >

1 After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
تَتَح پَرَں سَ لوکاناں کَرْنَگوچَرے تانْ سَرْوّانْ اُپَدیشانْ سَماپْیَ یَدا کَپھَرْناہُومْپُرَں پْرَوِشَتِ
2 A certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.
تَدا شَتَسیناپَتیح پْرِیَداسَ ایکو مرِتَکَلْپَح پِیڈِتَ آسِیتْ۔
3 When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him Jewish elders, asking him to come and save his servant.
اَتَح سیناپَتِ رْیِیشو رْوارْتّاں نِشَمْیَ داسَسْیاروگْیَکَرَنایَ تَسْیاگَمَنارْتھَں وِنَیَکَرَنایَ یِہُودِییانْ کِیَتَح پْراچَح پْریشَیاماسَ۔
4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, "He is worthy for you to do this for him,
تے یِیشورَنْتِکَں گَتْوا وِنَیاتِشَیَں وَکْتُماریبھِرے، سَ سیناپَتِ رْبھَوَتونُگْرَہَں پْراپْتُمْ اَرْہَتِ۔
5 for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us."
یَتَح سوسْمَجّاتِیییشُ لوکیشُ پْرِییَتے تَتھاسْمَتْکرِتے بھَجَنَگیہَں نِرْمِّتَوانْ۔
6 Jesus went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof.
تَسْمادْ یِیشُسْتَیح سَہَ گَتْوا نِویشَنَسْیَ سَمِیپَں پْراپَ، تَدا سَ شَتَسیناپَتِ رْوَکْشْیَمانَواکْیَں تَں وَکْتُں بَنْدھُونْ پْراہِنوتْ۔ ہے پْرَبھو سْوَیَں شْرَمو نَ کَرْتَّوْیو یَدْ بھَوَتا مَدْگیہَمَدھْیے پادارْپَنَں کْرِییتَ تَدَپْیَہَں نارْہامِ،
7 Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.
کِنْچاہَں بھَوَتْسَمِیپَں یاتُمَپِ ناتْمانَں یوگْیَں بُدّھَوانْ، تَتو بھَوانْ واکْیَماتْرَں وَدَتُ تینَیوَ مَمَ داسَح سْوَسْتھو بھَوِشْیَتِ۔
8 For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go.' and he goes; and to another, 'Come.' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
یَسْمادْ اَہَں پَرادھِینوپِ مَمادھِینا یاح سیناح سَنْتِ تاسامْ ایکَجَنَں پْرَتِ یاہِیتِ مَیا پْروکْتے سَ یاتِ؛ تَدَنْیَں پْرَتِ آیاہِیتِ پْروکْتے سَ آیاتِ؛ تَتھا نِجَداسَں پْرَتِ ایتَتْ کُرْوِّتِ پْروکْتے سَ تَدیوَ کَروتِ۔
9 When Jesus heard these things, he was amazed at him, and turned and said to the crowd who followed him, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel."
یِیشُرِدَں واکْیَں شْرُتْوا وِسْمَیَں یَیَو، مُکھَں پَراوَرْتْیَ پَشْچادْوَرْتِّنو لوکانْ بَبھاشے چَ، یُشْمانَہَں وَدامِ اِسْراییلو وَںشَمَدھْییپِ وِشْواسَمِیدرِشَں نَ پْراپْنَوَں۔
10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant in good health.
تَتَسْتے پْریشِتا گرِہَں گَتْوا تَں پِیڈِتَں داسَں سْوَسْتھَں دَدرِشُح۔
11 It happened soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain; and many of his disciples, along with a large crowd, went with him.
پَرےہَنِ سَ نایِیناکھْیَں نَگَرَں جَگامَ تَسْیانیکے شِشْیا اَنْیے چَ لوکاسْتینَ سارْدّھَں یَیُح۔
12 And when he drew near to the gate of the city, then look, a man who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large crowd from the city was with her.
تیشُ تَنَّگَرَسْیَ دْوارَسَنِّدھِں پْراپْتیشُ کِیَنْتو لوکا ایکَں مرِتَمَنُجَں وَہَنْتو نَگَرَسْیَ بَہِرْیانْتِ، سَ تَنْماتُریکَپُتْرَسْتَنْماتا چَ وِدھَوا؛ تَیا سارْدّھَں تَنَّگَرِییا بَہَوو لوکا آسَنْ۔
13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, "Do not cry."
پْرَبھُسْتاں وِلوکْیَ سانُکَمْپَح کَتھَیاماسَ، ما رودِیح۔ سَ سَمِیپَمِتْوا کھَٹْواں پَسْپَرْشَ تَسْمادْ واہَکاح سْتھَگِتاسْتَمْیُح؛
14 He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, "Young man, I tell you, arise."
تَدا سَ اُواچَ ہے یُوَمَنُشْیَ تْوَمُتِّشْٹھَ، تْوامَہَمْ آجْناپَیامِ۔
15 He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
تَسْماتْ سَ مرِتو جَنَسْتَتْکْشَنَمُتّھایَ کَتھاں پْرَکَتھِتَح؛ تَتو یِیشُسْتَسْیَ ماتَرِ تَں سَمَرْپَیاماسَ۔
16 Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us." and, "God has visited his people."
تَسْماتْ سَرْوّے لوکاح شَشَنْکِرے؛ ایکو مَہابھَوِشْیَدْوادِی مَدھْیےسْماکَمْ سَمُدَیتْ، اِیشْوَرَشْچَ سْوَلوکانَنْوَگرِہْلاتْ کَتھامِماں کَتھَیِتْوا اِیشْوَرَں دھَنْیَں جَگَدُح۔
17 This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.
تَتَح پَرَں سَمَسْتَں یِہُودادیشَں تَسْیَ چَتُرْدِکْسْتھَدیشَنْچَ تَسْیَیتَتْکِیرْتِّ رْوْیانَشے۔
18 The disciples of John told him about all these things.
تَتَح پَرَں یوہَنَح شِشْییشُ تَں تَدْورِتّانْتَں جْناپِتَوَتْسُ
19 John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord, saying, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?"
سَ سْوَشِشْیاناں دْوَو جَناواہُویَ یِیشُں پْرَتِ وَکْشْیَمانَں واکْیَں وَکْتُں پْریشَیاماسَ، یَسْیاگَمَنَمْ اَپیکْشْیَ تِشْٹھامو وَیَں کِں سَ ایوَ جَنَسْتْوَں؟ کِں وَیَمَنْیَمَپیکْشْیَ سْتھاسْیامَح؟
20 When the men had come to him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, 'Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?'"
پَشْچاتَّو مانَوَو گَتْوا کَتھَیاماسَتُح، یَسْیاگَمَنَمْ اَپیکْشْیَ تِشْٹھامو وَیَں، کِں سَایوَ جَنَسْتْوَں؟ کِں وَیَمَنْیَمَپیکْشْیَ سْتھاسْیامَح؟ کَتھامِماں تُبھْیَں کَتھَیِتُں یوہَنْ مَجَّکَ آواں پْریشِتَوانْ۔
21 In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.
تَسْمِنْ دَنْڈے یِیشُوروگِنو مَہاوْیادھِمَتو دُشْٹَبھُوتَگْرَسْتاںشْچَ بَہُونْ سْوَسْتھانْ کرِتْوا، اَنیکانْدھیبھْیَشْچَکْشُںشِ دَتّوا پْرَتْیُواچَ،
22 Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
یُواں وْرَجَتَمْ اَنْدھا نیتْرانِ کھَنْجاشْچَرَنانِ چَ پْراپْنُوَنْتِ، کُشْٹھِنَح پَرِشْکْرِیَنْتے، بَدھِراح شْرَوَنانِ مرِتاشْچَ جِیوَنانِ پْراپْنُوَنْتِ، دَرِدْراناں سَمِیپیشُ سُسَںوادَح پْرَچارْیَّتے، یَں پْرَتِ وِگھْنَسْوَرُوپوہَں نَ بھَوامِ سَ دھَنْیَح،
23 Blessed is he who is not offended by me."
ایتانِ یانِ پَشْیَتھَح شرِنُتھَشْچَ تانِ یوہَنَں جْناپَیَتَمْ۔
24 When John's messengers had departed, he began to tell the crowds about John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
تَیو رْدُوتَیو رْگَتَیوح سَتو رْیوہَنِ سَ لوکانْ وَکْتُمُپَچَکْرَمے، یُویَں مَدھْییپْرانْتَرَں کِں دْرَشْٹُں نِرَگَمَتَ؟ کِں وایُنا کَمْپِتَں نَڈَں؟
25 But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Look, those who are gorgeously dressed, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
یُویَں کِں دْرَشْٹُں نِرَگَمَتَ؟ کِں سُوکْشْمَوَسْتْرَپَرِدھایِنَں کَمَپِ نَرَں؟ کِنْتُ یے سُوکْشْمَمرِدُوَسْتْرانِ پَرِدَدھَتِ سُوتَّمانِ دْرَوْیانِ بھُنْجَتے چَ تے راجَدھانِیشُ تِشْٹھَنْتِ۔
26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
تَرْہِ یُویَں کِں دْرَشْٹُں نِرَگَمَتَ؟ کِمیکَں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِنَں؟ تَدیوَ سَتْیَں کِنْتُ سَ پُمانْ بھَوِشْیَدْوادِنوپِ شْریشْٹھَ اِتْیَہَں یُشْمانْ وَدامِ؛
27 This is he of whom it is written, 'Look, I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'
پَشْیَ سْوَکِییَدُوتَنْتُ تَواگْرَ پْریشَیامْیَہَں۔ گَتْوا تْوَدِییَمارْگَنْتُ سَ ہِ پَرِشْکَرِشْیَتِ۔ یَدَرْتھے لِپِرِیَمْ آسْتے سَ ایوَ یوہَنْ۔
28 "I tell you, among those who are born of women there is none greater than John, yet he who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than he."
اَتو یُشْمانَہَں وَدامِ سْتْرِیا گَرْبّھَجاتاناں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِناں مَدھْیے یوہَنو مَجَّکاتْ شْریشْٹھَح کوپِ ناسْتِ، تَتْراپِ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ راجْیے یَح سَرْوَّسْماتْ کْشُدْرَح سَ یوہَنوپِ شْریشْٹھَح۔
29 When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John's baptism.
اَپَرَنْچَ سَرْوّے لوکاح کَرَمَنْچایِنَشْچَ تَسْیَ واکْیانِ شْرُتْوا یوہَنا مَجَّنینَ مَجِّتاح پَرَمیشْوَرَں نِرْدوشَں مینِرے۔
30 But the Pharisees and the Law scholars rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.
کِنْتُ پھِرُوشِنو وْیَوَسْتھاپَکاشْچَ تینَ نَ مَجِّتاح سْوانْ پْرَتِیشْوَرَسْیوپَدیشَں نِشْپھَلَمْ اَکُرْوَّنْ۔
31 "To what then will I liken the people of this generation? What are they like?
اَتھَ پْرَبھُح کَتھَیاماسَ، اِدانِینْتَنَجَنانْ کینوپَمامِ؟ تے کَسْیَ سَدرِشاح؟
32 They are like children who sit in the marketplace, and call one to another, saying, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance. We mourned, and you did not weep.'
یے بالَکا وِپَنْیامْ اُپَوِشْیَ پَرَسْپَرَمْ آہُویَ واکْیَمِدَں وَدَنْتِ، وَیَں یُشْماکَں نِکَٹے وَںشِیرَوادِشْمَ، کِنْتُ یُویَں نانَرْتِّشْٹَ، وَیَں یُشْماکَں نِکَٹَ اَرودِشْمَ، کِنْتُ یُیَں نَ وْیَلَپِشْٹَ، بالَکَیریتادرِشَیسْتیشامْ اُپَما بھَوَتِ۔
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.'
یَتو یوہَنْ مَجَّکَ آگَتْیَ پُوپَں ناکھادَتْ دْراکْشارَسَنْچَ ناپِوَتْ تَسْمادْ یُویَں وَدَتھَ، بھُوتَگْرَسْتویَمْ۔
34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard; a friend of tax collectors and sinners.'
تَتَح پَرَں مانَوَسُتَ آگَتْیاکھادَدَپِوَنْچَ تَسْمادْ یُویَں وَدَتھَ، کھادَکَح سُراپَشْچانْڈالَپاپِناں بَنْدھُریکو جَنو درِشْیَتامْ۔
35 Wisdom is justified by all her children."
کِنْتُ جْنانِنو جْنانَں نِرْدوشَں وِدُح۔
36 One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee's house, and sat at the table.
پَشْچادیکَح پھِرُوشِی یِیشُں بھوجَنایَ نْیَمَنْتْرَیَتْ تَتَح سَ تَسْیَ گرِہَں گَتْوا بھوکْتُمُپَوِشْٹَح۔
37 And look, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
ایتَرْہِ تَتْپھِرُوشِنو گرِہے یِیشُ رْبھیکْتُمْ اُپاویکْشِیتْ تَچّھرُتْوا تَنَّگَرَواسِنِی کاپِ دُشْٹا نارِی پانْڈَرَپْرَسْتَرَسْیَ سَمْپُٹَکے سُگَنْدھِتَیلَمْ آنِییَ
38 Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
تَسْیَ پَشْچاتْ پادَیوح سَنِّدھَو تَسْیَو رُدَتِی چَ نیتْرامْبُبھِسْتَسْیَ چَرَنَو پْرَکْشالْیَ نِجَکَچَیرَمارْکْشِیتْ، تَتَسْتَسْیَ چَرَنَو چُمْبِتْوا تینَ سُگَنْدھِتَیلینَ مَمَرْدَ۔
39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, "This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner."
تَسْماتْ سَ نِمَنْتْرَیِتا پھِرُوشِی مَنَسا چِنْتَیاماسَ، یَدْیَیَں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِی بھَویتْ تَرْہِ اینَں سْپرِشَتِ یا سْتْرِی سا کا کِیدرِشِی چیتِ جْناتُں شَکْنُیاتْ یَتَح سا دُشْٹا۔
40 Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to tell you." He said, "Teacher, say on."
تَدا یاشُسْتَں جَگادَ، ہے شِمونْ تْواں پْرَتِ مَمَ کِنْچِدْ وَکْتَوْیَمَسْتِ؛ تَسْماتْ سَ بَبھاشے، ہے گُرو تَدْ وَدَتُ۔
41 "A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
ایکوتَّمَرْنَسْیَ دْواوَدھَمَرْناواسْتاں، تَیوریکَح پَنْچَشَتانِ مُدْراپادانْ اَپَرَشْچَ پَنْچاشَتْ مُدْراپادانْ دھارَیاماسَ۔
42 When they could not pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?"
تَدَنَنْتَرَں تَیوح شودھْیابھاواتْ سَ اُتَّمَرْنَسْتَیو ررِنے چَکْشَمے؛ تَسْماتْ تَیورْدْوَیوح کَسْتَسْمِنْ پْریشْیَتے بَہُ؟ تَدْ بْرُوہِ۔
43 Simon answered, "He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most." He said to him, "You have judged correctly."
شِمونْ پْرَتْیُواچَ، مَیا بُدھْیَتے یَسْیادھِکَمْ رِنَں چَکْشَمے سَ اِتِ؛ تَتو یِیشُسْتَں وْیاجَہارَ، تْوَں یَتھارْتھَں وْیَچارَیَح۔
44 Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.
اَتھَ تاں نارِیں پْرَتِ وْیاگھُٹھْیَ شِمونَمَووچَتْ، سْتْرِیمِماں پَشْیَسِ؟ تَوَ گرِہے مَیّاگَتے تْوَں پادَپْرَکْشالَنارْتھَں جَلَں ناداح کِنْتُ یوشِدیشا نَیَنَجَلَے رْمَمَ پادَو پْرَکْشالْیَ کیشَیرَمارْکْشِیتْ۔
45 You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
تْوَں ماں ناچُمْبِیح کِنْتُ یوشِدیشا سْوِییاگَمَنادارَبھْیَ مَدِییَپادَو چُمْبِتُں نَ وْیَرَںسْتَ۔
46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.
تْوَنْچَ مَدِییوتَّمانْگے کِنْچِدَپِ تَیلَں نامَرْدِیح کِنْتُ یوشِدیشا مَمَ چَرَنَو سُگَنْدھِتَیلینامَرْدِّیتْ۔
47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."
اَتَسْتْواں وْیاہَرامِ، ایتَسْیا بَہُ پاپَمَکْشَمْیَتَ تَتو بَہُ پْرِییَتے کِنْتُ یَسْیالْپَپاپَں کْشَمْیَتے سولْپَں پْرِییَتے۔
48 He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
تَتَح پَرَں سَ تاں بَبھاشے، تْوَدِییَں پاپَمَکْشَمْیَتَ۔
49 And those who were reclining with him began to say to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"
تَدا تینَ سارْدّھَں یے بھوکْتُمْ اُپَوِوِشُسْتے پَرَسْپَرَں وَکْتُماریبھِرے، اَیَں پاپَں کْشَمَتے کَ ایشَح؟
50 He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."
کِنْتُ سَ تاں نارِیں جَگادَ، تَوَ وِشْواسَسْتْواں پَرْیَّتْراسْتَ تْوَں کْشیمینَ وْرَجَ۔
