< Yochanan 7 >

1 After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jewish leaders sought to kill him.
Hiche jou chun, Yeshuan Galilee gamsung muntin achon'in avahlen ahi, ajeh chu Judah vaipo hon ama thadinga agot jeh'un, ama Judea gam'a chun aumnom tapon ahi.
2 Now the Jewish festival, the Feast of Tabernacles, was near.
Ahivangin hiche pet chu Judah te lhambuh kut kon cha ahijeh chun,
3 So his brothers said to him, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works that you are doing.
Asopiten Yeshua jah'a, “Hilai mun dalhan lang Judea gam'a chen, chukom'a chu naseijuiten thil kidang nabol hohi amuthei ding'u ahi.
4 For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world."
Hitia nakisel leh iti namin kithang ding ham? Hitobang thil kidang hohi nabol dingleh vannoi kimu sah in,” atiuve.
5 For even his brothers did not believe in him.
Ajeh chu asopi ho jengin jong ama chu atahsan lou ahi.
6 Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Hichun Yeshuan adonbut'in, “Tuhi kei che na dinga phatpha ahipoi, ahivangin nangho chena dingin phat jouse ahitheiye.
7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
Chuleh vannoiyin nangho nadou pouve, keima bou eidou'u ahi, ajeh chu amahon setna aboljeh'uva kaphoji ahi.
8 You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."
Chule nangho cheuvin, keima chethei ponge, ajeh chu keima phat alhing jep poi,” ati.
9 After he had said this, he stayed in Galilee.
Chule thil hicheng aseijou chun Yeshua Galilee gam'a aumden in ahi. Lhambuh Kut laiya Yeshua
10 But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
Ahivangin asopiho kut'a achejou nung'un, mipi ho kimu sah louvin, Yeshua jong guhthim in achen ahi.
11 The Jewish leaders therefore sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?"
Kut lai chun Judah vaipo hon Yeshua chu ahol'un, mipi lah'a khat khat henga chun Yeshua namu em? tin adong leuvin ahi.
12 There was much murmuring among the crowds concerning him. Some said, "He is a good man." But others said, "Not so, but he leads the crowd astray."
Hichun mipi holah'a, Yeshua chung chang kinel bautam na asoh dohtan ahi, mi phabep chun, Yeshua chu mipha ahi, atiuvin, ahivangin adang phabep chun Yeshua chu imacha hilou mi lhem chavai bou ahi, atiuvin ahi.
13 Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jewish leaders.
Ahivangin Judah vaipo hon abol genthei diu ginna jal chun, Yeshua thudol panpi na mipi maiya ngamtah'a seiphong ding koima a umpouvin ahi.
14 But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
Chuin kut kibol kimlai tah chun, Yeshua Houin'ah achetouvin chuleh thu ahilpantan ahi.
15 Then the Jewish leaders were astonished, saying, "How does this man know such writings, having never been educated?"
Athusei ajah'u chun Judah ho chu alung dong lheh un, “Hichepa hin kijil na neilou hel'a iti thil hijat hi ahet ham?” atiuvin ahi.
16 Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
Hijeh chun Yeshuan ajah'uva, “Kathu hil hi keima cham'a hung kon ahipon, eihin sol'a Pathen'a kon ahi.
17 If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.
Koi hileh Pathen lunglam hol'a bol ding go'a chun kathu hil hi keima cham'a ham ahilou leh Pathen'a kon ham ti ahet ding ahi.
18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Ajeh chu ama cham'a thuhil chun, ama chang kichoi-at na adeiyun, ahivangin ahinsol pa jabol na leh choi-at na holpa vang chun thutah asei ahi, ama a chun jou aumpoi.
19 Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you keeps the Law? Why do you seek to kill me?"
Mose in danthu napeh'u ahin, ahivangin nangho khat in jong najui pouve, nanghon keima tha tahtah dinga neigot jingu ahi,” ati.
20 The crowd answered, "You have a demon. Who seeks to kill you?"
Chuin mipi chun adonbut'un, “Koiham nang tha dinga nagong'ah? Nanghi thilha vop nahi bouve,” atiuve.
21 Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you are all amazed.
Yeshuan adonbut'in, “Keiman Cholngah nikhoa thil kidang khat kabol chu nanghon nadatmo lheh uve.
22 Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
Ahivangin nanghon jong nabol'uve, Mose dan thupeh palkeh lou bangtah in Cholngah nikhon mi chep natan peh jiuve; tahbeh mongin cheptan hi Mose danthu peh um masanga napului teuvin ana phudohsa ahitai.
23 If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?
Chuleh nanghon nachapa teu cheptan nikho chu Cholngah ni ato khah jongleh Mose dan thupeh palkeh lou bangin hichu nabol jiuve, achutile ipi dinga keiman Cholngah nikho'a mi kasuh dam chu nanghon nalunghan piu ham?
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."
Hijeh chun kun'un noilang veuvin, kingaito phauvin, chutileh adihtah chu nahet ding'u ahi,” ati.
25 Therefore some of them of Jerusalem said, "Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
Hichun Jerusalem miho chu amaho leh amaho aki dong touvin, “Vaipo hon tha dinga agot jing'u chu hichepa hi hilou ham?
26 Look, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Messiah?
Amapa la hilaiya aum in, phongtah in mipi lah'a thu aseiyin, chuleh vaipo hon jong ima alopouve. Achutileh amahon jong hichepa hi Messiah ahi ti apom ngap'u ahitadem?
27 However we know where this man comes from, but when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he comes from."
Ahivangin amapa hi hichu iti hithei ding ham? Eihon ama ahung konna kihesoh keiya, Messiah vang chu ahung tengleh koiman ahung konna ahetlou ding, hung kilah jeng ding ahibouve,” atiuvin ahi.
28 Jesus therefore called out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know.
Chuin Yeshuan Houin'a athuhil pet chun, ajah'uva, “Adih'e, nanghon keima neiheuve, chuleh kahung konna jong naheuve, ahivangin keima kacham'a hilaiya um kahipoi, keima eihinsolpa chu thudihtah ahi, chuleh nanghon ama chu nahe pouve.
29 I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."
Ahivangin keiman ama kahe chen'e, ajeh chu keima ama-a hung kon kahi, chuleh aman keima naheng'uva eihinsol ahi,” ati.
30 They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
Chuin vaipo hon ama chu mat ding agouvin, ahivangin ama phat alhin lou lai jeh in, koiman achunga khut alhapouve.
31 But many in the crowd believed in him. They said, "When the Messiah comes, he won't do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?"
Hichun Houin'a um mitamtah chun Yeshua atahsan tauve, chule amaho akihouvun, “Messiah ahung teng, hichepan abol kalval'a nasajo melchih na kidang abolnah ding ham?” atiuvin ahi.
32 The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
Chuin mihonpi chu, Yeshua thudol akihoulhih melmul'u chu Pharisee hon ajahdoh phat'un, thempu pipui hotoh kijaton, Yeshua man dingin Houin ngah ho chu asol tauvin ahi.
33 Then Jesus said, "I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.
Ahivangin Yeshuan ajah'uva, “Keima nangho toh phat chomcha bou ka umkhom ding ahi, chuleh keima eihinsolpa heng'a kakile kit ding ahi.
34 You will seek me, but won't find; and where I am, you cannot come."
Nanghon keima neihol'un natin, neimulou dingu ahi, chuleh keima chena'a chu nangho nahung thei lou dingu ahi,” ati.
35 The Jewish leaders therefore said among themselves, "Where will this man go that we won't find him? Will he go to the Diaspora among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
Chuin Judah vaipo ho chun, hiche Yeshua thusei chu adatmo lheh un ahi, amaho akidong touvin, “Hichepa hi hoilanga che ding kigo ham? Oleh, amahi hiche gam dalha'a mun danga um Judah ho henga cheding kigo ahidem? Amahin Greek miho jeng jong agahil got hinte.
36 What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, but won't find; and where I am, you cannot come'?"
Chuleh ipi aseina mong ahidem? Nanghon neihol'un natin, neimulou dingu chuleh keima chena'a chu nangho nahung theilou dingu atihi,” akitiuvin ahi.
37 Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
Chuin kut kichaini aniloupi pen nin, Yeshua mihonpi lah'a ading doh'in, ajah'uva, “Koi hileh adangchah'a chu kahenga hunghen.
38 He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water."
Koi hileh keima eitahsan'a chu kahenga hunghen chuleh hungdon hen, ajeh chu Pathen lekhabun aphondoh banga ama lung sunga kon'a chu twi hing luiya longdoh ding ahi,” tin asamtai.
39 But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Aman twi-hing ati chu ama tahsan jouse chunga Lhagao aum ding aseina ahi, ahivangin Yeshua chu aloupina'a alut loulai jeh'in hiche Lhagao chu kipeloulai ahiuve.
40 Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the Prophet."
Chuin mihonpi chun, hiche asei chu ajauvin, alah'uva phabep chun, “Hichepa hi inga jingu themgao pachu hitei yinte,” atiuvin ahi.
41 Others said, "This is the Messiah." But some said, "What, does the Messiah come out of Galilee?
Chuleh adang phabep chun, “Amapa hi Messiah ahi,” atiuvin ahi, ahivangin adang phabep chun, “Hiponte, iti Messiah chu Galilee gam'a hungsoh doh thei ding ham?” atiuvin ahi.
42 Hasn't the Scripture said that the Messiah comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
Ajeh chu Pathen lekhabu'a kicheh tah'a kiphong dohsa bangin, Messiah chu David chilhah hiding, David khopi Bethlehem a kon hiding ahibouve, atiuvin ahi.
43 So there arose a division in the crowd because of him.
Hijeh chun, Yeshua chung chang thua, mihonpi chu akikhen tel gamtauvin ahi.
44 Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
Chuleh alah'uva mi phabep chun, Yeshua chu mat tei ding angaitou vin, ahivang in koiman achunga khut alhapouve. Judah vaipo hon Yeshua atahsan lou
45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why did you not bring him?"
Chuin Houin ngah sottol le ho chu Yeshua manlouva ahung kile phat'un, thempu pipui holeh Pharisee ho chun ajah'uva, “Ibol'a ama nahin puilut lou u ham?” tin adongun ahi.
46 The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man."
Houin ngah sottol le hon adonbut'un, “Keihon hichepa thusei tobang kaja khapouve,” atiuvin ahi.
47 The Pharisees therefore answered them, "You are not also led astray, are you?
Hichun Pharisee hon anuisat un, “Nangho jong lhep lhah'a na um'u hitam?
48 Have any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
Eiho lah'a vaipo ho leh Pharisee ho khat beh injong amapa chu atahsan em?
49 But this crowd that does not know the Law is accursed."
Khohelou mihonpi in dan thupeh ima ahetlou jeh'uva ama nung ajuiyu ahibouve, chuleh achung'uva Pathen sapset chuding ahi,” atiuve.
50 Nicodemus (he who came to him before, being one of them) said to them,
Hichun masanga Yeshua toh gakimuto sa vaipo lah'a khat amin Nicodemus chun, ajah'uva;
51 "Does our Law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?"
“Mikhat chu ama thu kija masa louva, achunga themmo chansah jeng chu dan ngai na ham?” ati.
52 They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet comes from Galilee."
Chuin amahon adonbut un, “Nang jong Galilee mi nahim? Pathen Lekhabu'a phet inlang sim'in Galilee gam'a kon'a themgao sohdoh khalou hel ahi,” atiuve.
53 Then everyone went to his own house,
Hichun akikhop nau aki khen'un mijousen a-in cheh akijot tauvin ahi.
