Colossians 3
1 If then you were raised together with Messiah, seek the things that are above, where Messiah is, seated on the right hand of God.
Ako dakle vaskrsnuste s Hristom, tražite ono što je gore gdje Hristos sjedi s desne strane Boga.
2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
Mislite o onome što je gore a ne što je na zemlji.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Messiah in God.
Jer umrijeste, i vaš je život sakriven s Hristom u Bogu.
4 When Messiah, your life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
A kad se javi Hristos, život vaš, onda æete se i vi s njime javiti u slavi.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever is worldly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Pomorite dakle ude svoje koji su na zemlji: kurvarstvo, neèistotu, slast, zlu želju i lakomstvo, koje je idolopoklonstvo;
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the children of disobedience.
Za koje ide gnjev Božij na sinove protivljenja;
7 You also once walked in those, when you lived in them;
U kojima i vi negda hoðaste kad življaste meðu njima.
8 but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
A sad odbacite i vi to sve: gnjev, ljutinu, pakost, huljenje, sramotne rijeèi iz usta svojijeh.
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices,
Ne lažite jedan na drugoga; svucite staroga èovjeka s djelima njegovijem,
10 and have put on the new self, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
I obucite novoga, koji se obnavlja za poznanje, po oblièju onoga koji ga je sazdao:
11 where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman; but Messiah is all, and in all.
Gdje nema Grka ni Jevrejina, obrezanja ni neobrezanja, divljaka ni Skita, roba ni slobodnjaka, nego sve i u svemu Hristos.
12 Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, and patience;
Obucite se dakle kao izbrani Božiji, sveti i ljubazni, u srdaènu milost, dobrotu, poniznost, krotost, i trpljenje,
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as the Lord forgave you, so you also do.
Snoseæi jedan drugoga, i opraštajuæi jedan drugome ako ima ko tužbu na koga: kao što je i Hristos vama oprostio tako i vi.
14 Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
A svrh svega toga obucite se u ljubav, koja je sveza savršenstva.
15 And let the peace of Messiah rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
I mir Božij da vlada u srcima vašima, na koji ste i pozvani u jednom tijelu, i zahvalni budite.
16 Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to God.
Rijeè Hristova da se bogato useli meðu vas, u svakoj premudrosti uèeæi i svjetujuæi sami sebe sa psalmima i pojanjem i pjesmama duhovnijem, u blagodati pjevajuæi u srcima svojima Gospodu.
17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.
I sve što god èinite rijeèju ili djelom, sve èinite u ime Gospoda Isusa Hrista hvaleæi Boga i oca kroza nj.
18 Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Žene! slušajte svoje muževe kao što treba u Gospodu.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.
Muževi! ljubite žene svoje i ne srdite se na njih.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
Djeco! slušajte roditelje svoje u svaèemu; jer je ovo ugodno Gospodu.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged.
Ocevi! ne razdražujte djece svoje, da ne gube volje.
22 Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as people-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.
Sluge! slušajte u svemu svoje tjelesne gospodare, ne samo pred oèima radeæi kao da ljudima ugaðate, nego u prostoti srca, bojeæi se Boga,
23 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for people,
I sve šta god èinite, od srca èinite kao Gospodu a ne kao ljudima;
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Messiah.
Znajuæi da æete od Gospoda primiti platu našljedstva; jer Gospodu Hristu služite.
25 But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
A koji skrivi primiæe što je skrivio: i nema gledanja ko je ko.
