Colossians 2

1 For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

൧നിങ്ങൾക്കും, ലവുദിക്യപട്ടണത്തിലുള്ളവർക്കും ജഡത്തിൽ എന്റെ മുഖം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത എല്ലാവർക്കുംവേണ്ടി,

2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Messiah,

൨അവർ പിതാവും ക്രിസ്തുവും എന്ന ദൈവമർമ്മത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകപൂർണ്ണതയുടെ സമ്പത്തും പ്രാപിക്കുവാൻവേണ്ടി സ്നേഹത്തിൽ ബന്ധിതരായി ഹൃദയങ്ങൾക്ക് സാന്ത്വനം ലഭിക്കണം എന്നുവച്ച് ഞാൻ എത്ര വലിയ പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ അറിവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

3 in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.

൩ക്രിസ്തുവില്‍ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും അറിവിന്റേയും നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

4 Now I say this so that no one will deceive you with persuasive words.

൪വശീകരണവാക്കുകൊണ്ട് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഇത് പറയുന്നു.

5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Messiah.

൫ഞാൻ ശരീരംകൊണ്ട് ദൂരസ്ഥനെങ്കിലും ആത്മാവുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളോട് കൂടെയുള്ളവനായി നിങ്ങളുടെ നല്ല ക്രമങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയും കണ്ട് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

6 As therefore you received Messiah Jesus, the Lord, walk in him,

൬ആകയാൽ കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെ നിങ്ങൾ കൈക്കൊണ്ടതുപോലെ അവനിൽ നടപ്പിൻ;

7 rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

൭അവനിൽ ഉറപ്പോടെ വേരൂന്നുകയും, പണിയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരായും, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്നതിന് ഒത്തവണ്ണം വിശ്വാസത്താൽ ഉറച്ചും, സ്തോത്രത്തിൽ കവിഞ്ഞും ഇരിപ്പിൻ.

8 Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty and deceptive philosophy, according to human tradition, according to the elementary principles of the world, and not according to Messiah.

൮തത്വജ്ഞാനവും പൊള്ളയായ വഞ്ചനയുംകൊണ്ട് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ കീഴടക്കാതിരിക്കുവാൻ സൂക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; അത് മനുഷ്യരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യോപദേശങ്ങൾക്കും, ലോകത്തിന്റെ പാപകാരണമായ വിശ്വാസ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങൾക്കും ഒത്തവണ്ണം അല്ലാതെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന് ഒത്തവണ്ണമുള്ളതല്ല.

9 For in him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

൯ക്രിസ്തുവിന്‍റെ ശരീരത്തിലല്ലോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വസമ്പൂർണ്ണതയുടെ സ്വഭാവങ്ങളും ദേഹരൂപമായി വസിക്കുന്നത്.

10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;

൧൦എല്ലാ അധികാരത്തിനും, ആധിപത്യത്തിനും തലയായ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പരിപൂർണ്ണരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

11 in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Messiah;

൧൧ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദനയാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും പാപശരീരം ഉരിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നതായ കൈകൊണ്ടല്ലാത്ത പരിച്ഛേദനയും ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

൧൨സ്നാനത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ അടക്കപ്പെടുകയും അവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ച് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തിയിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു,

13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

൧൩അതിക്രമങ്ങളാലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ജഡത്തിന്റെ അഗ്രചർമം നിമിത്തവും മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും; അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും നമ്മോടു ക്ഷമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;

൧൪നമുക്ക് പ്രതികൂലവുമായിരുന്ന ചട്ടങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യെഴുത്ത് മായിച്ച് ക്രൂശിൽ തറച്ച് നമ്മുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു;

15 having disarmed the rulers and authorities, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

൧൫അധികാരങ്ങളേയും ശക്തികളേയും പിടിച്ചടക്കി ക്രൂശിൽ അവരുടെ മേൽ ജയോത്സവം ആഘോഷിച്ച് അവരെ പരസ്യമായ കാഴ്ചയാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you about food and drink, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,

൧൬അതുകൊണ്ട് ഭക്ഷണപാനീയങ്ങൾ, പെരുന്നാളുകൾ, വാവ്, ശബ്ബത്ത്, എന്നീ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ആരും നിങ്ങളെ വിധിക്കരുത്.

17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah's.

൧൭ഇവ വരുവാനിരുന്നവയുടെ നിഴലത്രേ; എന്നാൽ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമായതോ ക്രിസ്തുവത്രേ.

18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

൧൮വ്യാജമായ താഴ്മയിലും, ദൂതന്മാരെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നതുമൂലം കാണാത്ത കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇടപെടുകയും തന്റെ ജഡമനസ്സിനാൽ അനാവശ്യമായി നിഗളിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ആരുംതന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള പ്രതിഫലം വൃഥാവാക്കരുത്.

19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God's growth.

൧൯ക്രിസ്തുവാകുന്ന തലയെ മുറുകെ പിടിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരുവനും നിങ്ങളെ കവർന്നു കളയരുത്, തലയായവനിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ ശരീരം മുഴുവൻ സന്ധിഞരമ്പുകളെ പോഷിപ്പിച്ച് ഒന്നായിച്ചേർത്ത് ദൈവവർദ്ധയ്ക്കനുസാരമായി വളർച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നത്.

20 If you died with Messiah from the elementary principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,

൨൦നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പാപകാരണമായ വിശ്വാസ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ സംബന്ധിച്ച് മരിച്ചുവെങ്കിൽ ലോകത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ

21 "Do not handle, nor taste, nor touch"

൨൧മാനുഷകല്പനകൾക്കും ഉപദേശങ്ങൾക്കും അനുസരണമായി: പിടിക്കരുത്, രുചിക്കരുത്, തൊടരുത് എന്നുള്ള ചട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് കീഴ്പെടുന്നത് എന്ത്?

22 (all of which perish with use), according to human commandments and teachings?

൨൨ഇതെല്ലാം ഉപയോഗത്താൽ നശിച്ചു പോകുന്നതത്രേ.

23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

൨൩ഇതൊക്കെയും സ്വന്ത ഇഷ്ടത്തിനൊത്ത ആരാധനയിലും താഴ്മയിലും ശരീരത്തെ തൃജിക്കുന്നതിലും രസിക്കുന്നവർക്കുള്ളതാണ്; എന്നാൽ ജഡാഭിലാഷം നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതിന് പര്യാപ്തമല്ല.
