2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus (the) Messiah, and our gathering together to him, we ask you
ⲁ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲡⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲁⲧⲡⲁⲣϩⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
2 not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of the Lord had come.
ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲕⲓⲙ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅. ⲙⲏⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅. ⲙⲏⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ. ⲙⲏⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ. ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲛ̅. ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ.
3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
ⲅ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲣ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲙⲟⲧ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲧⲙ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲓ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ϭⲱⲗⲡ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ. ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ.
4 he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.
ⲇ̅ⲡⲁⲛⲧⲓⲕⲉⲓⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲏ ⲟⲩⲟⲡ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣ̅ⲡⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛϥ̅ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ.
5 Do you not remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things?
ⲉ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ϫⲓⲛⲉⲓ̈ϩⲁⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲓ̈ϫⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ.
6 Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.
ⲋ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲁⲧⲉⲭⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϭⲱⲗⲡ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.
ⲍ̅ⲡⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓ ϫⲓⲛⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ. ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲁⲧⲉⲭⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲛⲧϥ̅ⲗⲟ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ.
8 Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming;
ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ. ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓ(ⲥ) ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟϥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛ̅ⲣⲱϥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲣⲅⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲡⲁⲣϩⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ.
9 even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
ⲑ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉϥⲡⲁⲣϩⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ. ϩⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲗ.
10 and with all deception of wickedness for those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
ⲓ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲛ̅ⲁⲡⲁⲧⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛ̅ϫⲓ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈.
11 And because of this, God sends them a strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϭⲟⲗ.
12 in order that all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲉⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϫⲓ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅·
13 But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth;
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ϣ̅ϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲉϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲧⲡ̅ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲓⲛⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲧⲃ̅ⲃⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅. ⲙⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲙⲉ.
14 to which he called you through our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲁϥⲧⲉϩⲙ̅ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
15 So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲣⲁ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲟⲥⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ. ⲉⲓⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ. ⲉⲓⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ·
16 Now our Lord Jesus (the) Messiah himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us everlasting comfort and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)

17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.
