2 Samuel 8

1 After this it happened that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and David took the bridle of Ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

১ইয়াৰ পাছত দায়ূদে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক আক্ৰমণ কৰি পৰাজয় কৰিলে৷ এইদৰে তেওঁলোকৰ হাতৰ পৰা গাথ্‌ আৰু ইয়াৰ গাওঁসমূহ অধিকাৰ কৰি ল’লে।

2 He struck Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

২তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ মোৱাবীয়াসকলক আক্ৰমণ কৰি তেওঁলোকক মাটিত শুৱাই লেজুৰে জুখিলে৷ অৰ্থাৎ বধ কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে দুই লেজু আৰু জীয়াই ৰাখিবৰ বাবে সম্পূৰ্ণ এক লেজু জুখিলে৷ পাছত মোৱাবীয়াসকলে দায়ূদৰ দাস হ’ল আৰু তেওঁলৈ প্ৰশংসাৰে উপহাৰ আনিবলৈ ধৰিলে।

3 David struck also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.

৩আৰু চোবাৰ ৰজা ৰহোবৰ পুত্ৰ হদদেজৰে ইউফ্রেটিচ নদীৰ ওচৰত নিজৰ অধিকাৰ পুনৰায় স্থাপন কৰিবলৈ যাওঁতে, দায়ূদে তেওঁক আক্ৰমণ কৰি পৰাজয় কৰিলে৷

4 And David took from him a thousand of his chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.

5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Arameans two and twenty thousand men.

৫পাছে দম্মেচকৰ অৰামীয়াসকলে চোবাৰ হদদেজৰ ৰজাক সহায় কৰিবলৈ আহোতে, দায়ূদে সেই অৰামীয়াসকলৰ মাজৰ বাইশ হাজাৰ লোকক বধ কৰিলে।

6 Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.

৬তাৰ পাছত দায়ূদে দম্মেচকৰ অৰাম দেশত ৰক্ষী সৈন্যদল স্থাপন কৰিলে, তাতে অৰামীয়াসকলে দায়ূদৰ দাস হৈ প্ৰশংসাৰে উপহাৰ আনিলে। এইদৰে দায়ুদ যি যি ঠাইলৈ গৈছিল, সেই সকলোতে যিহোৱাই তেওঁক জয়ী হ’বলৈ দিছিল।

7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem, which, later on, were also taken by Shishak king of Egypt in the days of Rehoboam son of Solomon when he went up to Jerusalem.

৭আৰু দায়ূদে হদদেজৰৰ দাস কেইজনৰ গাত থকা সোণৰ ঢালবোৰ সোলোকাই যিৰূচালেমলৈ লৈ গ’ল।

8 From Tebah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took a very great amount of bronze.

৮আৰু দায়ুদ ৰজাই হদদেজৰৰ বেটহ আৰু বেৰোথয় নগৰৰ পৰা অধিক পিতল আনিলে।

9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer,

৯পাছত দায়ূদে হদদেজৰৰ সকলো সৈন্যসামন্তক পৰাজয় কৰা কথা হমাত’ৰ ৰজা তোৱীয়ে যেতিয়া শুনিলে,

10 then Toi sent Hadoram his son to king David, to greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And he brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze.

১০তেতিয়া যুদ্ধত হদদেজৰক আঘাত কৰি পৰাজয় কৰাৰ বাবে দায়ুদ ৰজাক ধন্যবাদ দিবলৈ আৰু তেওঁৰ মঙ্গল সুধিবলৈ, তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যোৰামক তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে; কিয়নো হদ্‌দেজৰৰ বিৰুদ্ধেও তোৱীৰৰ যুদ্ধ চলি আছিল। পাছে যোৰামে ৰূপৰ, সোণৰ আৰু পিতলৰ পাত্ৰ হাতত লৈ আহিল৷

11 King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued;

১১দায়ুদ ৰজাই সেই সামগ্ৰীবোৰ যিহোৱালৈ উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলে, লগতে সকলো জাতিক পৰাজয় কৰোঁতে যিবোৰ ৰূপ আৰু সোণ আনিছিল, -

12 of Edom, and of Moab, and of the people of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

১২সেইবোৰ অৰাম, মোৱাব, অম্মোনৰ সন্তান সকল, পলেষ্টীয়াসকল আৰু অমালেক আদি তেওঁলোকৰ পৰা লাভ কৰা আৰু তাৰ লগতে চোবাৰ ৰজা ৰহোবৰ পুত্ৰ হদদেজৰৰ পৰা লুট কৰি অনা সামগ্ৰীবোৰকো যিহোৱাৰ আগত উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলে।

13 And David made a name for himself when he returned from defeating the Arameans. And Abishai son of Zeruiah defeated the Edomites in the Valley of Salt--eighteen thousand.

১৩আৰু দায়ূদে লৱণ উপত্যকাত অৰামীয়াসকলৰ মাজৰ ওঠৰ হাজাৰ লোকক বধ কৰি উভটি অহা সময়ত অতিশয় নাম জ্বলা হ’ল।

14 And he put a garrison in Edom, and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.

১৪পাছে দায়ূদে ইদোমত নানা ৰক্ষী সৈন্যদল স্থাপন কৰিলে; ইদোমৰ সকলোফালে সৈন্যদল স্থাপন কৰাত, সকলো ইদোমীয়া লোকসকলে দায়ূদৰ দাস হ’ল। আৰু দায়ুদ যি যি ঠাইলৈ গৈছিল, সেই সকলোতে যিহোৱাই তেওঁক জয়ী হ’বলৈ দিলে।

15 David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness to all his people.

১৫এইদৰে গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰাজত্ব কৰি দায়ূদে নিজৰ সকলো প্ৰজাৰ বাবে বিচাৰ আৰু ন্যায় সাধন কৰিলে।

16 Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

১৬চৰূয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যোৱাব আছিল প্ৰধান সেনাপতি, অহীলূদৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোচাফট্‌ আছিল ইতিহাস লিখক৷

17 and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shisha was scribe;

১৭অহীটুবৰ পুত্ৰ চাদোক আৰু অবিয়াথৰৰ পুত্ৰ অহীমেলক আছিল পুৰোহিত আৰু চৰায়া আছিল ৰাজলিখক৷

18 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief ministers.

১৮যিহোয়াদাৰ পুত্ৰ বনায়া, কৰেথীয়া আৰু পেলেথীয়াসকলৰ অধ্যক্ষ আছিল আৰু দায়ূদৰ পুত্ৰসকল আছিল মন্ত্ৰী।
