1 Peter 3
1 In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any do not obey the word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word;
ஹே யோஷித: , யூயமபி நிஜஸ்வாமிநாம்’ வஸ்²யா ப⁴வத ததா² ஸதி யதி³ கேசித்³ வாக்யே விஸ்²வாஸிநோ ந ஸந்தி தர்ஹி
2 seeing your pure behavior in fear.
தே விநாவாக்யம்’ யோஷிதாம் ஆசாரேணார்த²தஸ்தேஷாம்’ ப்ரத்யக்ஷேண யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸப⁴யஸதீத்வாசாரேணாக்ரஷ்டும்’ ஸ²க்ஷ்யந்தே|
3 Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing;
அபரம்’ கேஸ²ரசநயா ஸ்வர்ணாலங்காரதா⁴ரணோந பரிச்ச²த³பரிதா⁴நேந வா யுஷ்மாகம்’ வாஹ்யபூ⁴ஷா ந ப⁴வது,
4 but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious.
கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத்³ ப³ஹுமூல்யக்ஷமாஸா²ந்திபா⁴வாக்ஷயரத்நேந யுக்தோ கு³ப்த ஆந்தரிகமாநவ ஏவ|
5 For this is how the holy women before, who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
யத: பூர்வ்வகாலே யா: பவித்ரஸ்த்ரிய ஈஸ்²வரே ப்ரத்யாஸா²மகுர்வ்வந் தா அபி தாத்³ரு’ஸீ²மேவ பூ⁴ஷாம்’ தா⁴ரயந்த்யோ நிஜஸ்வாமிநாம்’ வஸ்²யா அப⁴வந்|
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.
ததை²வ ஸாரா இப்³ராஹீமோ வஸ்²யா ஸதீ தம்’ பதிமாக்²யாதவதீ யூயஞ்ச யதி³ ஸதா³சாரிண்யோ ப⁴வத² வ்யாகுலதயா ச பீ⁴தா ந ப⁴வத² தர்ஹி தஸ்யா: கந்யா ஆத்⁴வே|
7 You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered.
ஹே புருஷா: , யூயம்’ ஜ்ஞாநதோ து³ர்ப்³ப³லதரபா⁴ஜநைரிவ யோஷித்³பி⁴: ஸஹவாஸம்’ குருத, ஏகஸ்ய ஜீவநவரஸ்ய ஸஹபா⁴கி³நீப்⁴யதாப்⁴ய: ஸமாத³ரம்’ விதரத ச ந சேத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப்ரார்த²நாநாம்’ பா³தா⁴ ஜநிஷ்யதே|
8 Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, humble,
விஸே²ஷதோ யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வ ஏகமநஸ: பரது³: கை² ர்து³: கி²தா ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ப்ரமிண: க்ரு’பாவந்த: ப்ரீதிபா⁴வாஸ்²ச ப⁴வத|
9 not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but instead blessing; because to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing.
அநிஷ்டஸ்ய பரிஸோ²தே⁴நாநிஷ்டம்’ நிந்தா³யா வா பரிஸோ²தே⁴ந நிந்தா³ம்’ ந குர்வ்வந்த ஆஸி²ஷம்’ த³த்த யதோ யூயம் ஆஸி²ரதி⁴காரிணோ ப⁴விதுமாஹூதா இதி ஜாநீத²|
10 For, "He who would love life, and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.
அபரஞ்ச, ஜீவநே ப்ரீயமாணோ ய: ஸுதி³நாநி தி³த்³ரு’க்ஷதே| பாபாத் ஜிஹ்வாம்’ ம்ரு’ஷாவாக்யாத் ஸ்வாத⁴ரௌ ஸ நிவர்த்தயேத்|
11 Let him turn away from evil, and do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it.
ஸ த்யஜேத்³ து³ஷ்டதாமார்க³ம்’ ஸத்க்ரியாஞ்ச ஸமாசரேத்| ம்ரு’க³யாணஸ்²ச ஸா²ந்திம்’ ஸ நித்யமேவாநுதா⁴வது|
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
லோசநே பரமேஸ²ஸ்யோந்மீலிதே தா⁴ர்ம்மிகாந் ப்ரதி| ப்ரார்த²நாயா: க்ரு’தே தேஷா: தச்ச்²ரோத்ரே ஸுக³மே ஸதா³| க்ரோதா⁴ஸ்யஞ்ச பரேஸ²ஸ்ய கதா³சாரிஷு வர்த்ததே|
13 Now who is he who will harm you, if you become zealous of that which is good?
அபரம்’ யதி³ யூயம் உத்தமஸ்யாநுகா³மிநோ ப⁴வத² தர்ஹி கோ யுஷ்மாந் ஹிம்’ஸிஷ்யதே?
14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "And do not fear what they fear, nor be troubled."
யதி³ ச த⁴ர்ம்மார்த²ம்’ க்லிஸ்²யத்⁴வம்’ தர்ஹி த⁴ந்யா ப⁴விஷ்யத²| தேஷாம் ஆஸ²ங்கயா யூயம்’ ந பி³பீ⁴த ந விங்க்த வா|
15 But sanctify in your hearts Messiah as Lord; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with humility and fear:
மநோபி⁴: கிந்து மந்யத்⁴வம்’ பவித்ரம்’ ப்ரபு⁴மீஸ்²வரம்’| அபரஞ்ச யுஷ்மாகம் ஆந்தரிகப்ரத்யாஸா²யாஸ்தத்த்வம்’ ய: கஸ்²சித் ப்ரு’ச்ச²தி தஸ்மை ஸா²ந்திபீ⁴திப்⁴யாம் உத்தரம்’ தா³தும்’ ஸதா³ ஸுஸஜ்ஜா ப⁴வத|
16 having a good conscience; so that when they speak evil against you, they may be put to shame who slander your good manner of life in Messiah.
யே ச க்²ரீஷ்டத⁴ர்ம்மே யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸதா³சாரம்’ தூ³ஷயந்தி தே து³ஷ்கர்ம்மகாரிணாமிவ யுஷ்மாகம் அபவாதே³ந யத் லஜ்ஜிதா ப⁴வேயுஸ்தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் உத்தம: ஸம்’வேதோ³ ப⁴வது|
17 For it is better, if it is God's will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil.
ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாபி⁴மதாத்³ யதி³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: க்லேஸ²: ஸோட⁴வ்யஸ்தர்ஹி ஸதா³சாரிபி⁴: க்லேஸ²ஸஹநம்’ வரம்’ ந ச கதா³சாரிபி⁴: |
18 Because Messiah also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
யஸ்மாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் அஸ்மாந் ஆநேதும் அதா⁴ர்ம்மிகாணாம்’ விநிமயேந தா⁴ர்ம்மிக: க்²ரீஷ்டோ (அ)ப்யேகக்ரு’த்வ: பாபாநாம்’ த³ண்ட³ம்’ பு⁴க்தவாந், ஸ ச ஸ²ரீரஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ மாரித: கிந்த்வாத்மந: ஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ புந ர்ஜீவிதோ (அ)ப⁴வத்|
19 in which he also went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison,
தத்ஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ ச ஸ யாத்ராம்’ விதா⁴ய காராப³த்³தா⁴நாம் ஆத்மநாம்’ ஸமீபே வாக்யம்’ கோ⁴ஷிதவாந்|
20 who before were disobedient, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the box-shaped ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved by means of water.
புரா நோஹஸ்ய ஸமயே யாவத் போதோ நிரமீயத தாவத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய தீ³ர்க⁴ஸஹிஷ்ணுதா யதா³ வ்யலம்ப³த ததா³ தே(அ)நாஜ்ஞாக்³ராஹிணோ(அ)ப⁴வந்| தேந போதோநால்பே(அ)ர்தா²த்³ அஷ்டாவேவ ப்ராணிநஸ்தோயம் உத்தீர்ணா: |
21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body, but an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus (the) Messiah,
தந்நித³ர்ஸ²நஞ்சாவகா³ஹநம்’ (அர்த²த: ஸா²ரீரிகமலிநதாயா யஸ்த்யாக³: ஸ நஹி கிந்த்வீஸ்²வராயோத்தமஸம்’வேத³ஸ்ய யா ப்ரதஜ்ஞா ஸைவ) யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய புநருத்தா²நேநேதா³நீம் அஸ்மாந் உத்தாரயதி,
22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
யத: ஸ ஸ்வர்க³ம்’ க³த்வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணே வித்³யதே ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தா: ஸா²ஸகா ப³லாநி ச தஸ்ய வஸீ²பூ⁴தா அப⁴வந்|
