< James 4 >

1 Where do conflicts and quarrels among you come from? Do they not come from your passions that war in your members?
Nalah uva kinah le kidel ho hi ipia kon ham? Nasung uva ngaichat dihlou ho chu kidouva hilou ham?
2 You lust, and do not have. You kill, covet, and cannot obtain. You fight and make war. You do not have, because you do not ask.
Naneilouvu chu na deiyun, hichu mutei na gongun chutia na got nalamun nathat jiuve. Mi dang thilnei nathangseuvin, hinla na neithei pouvin, hiti chun nanghon gal nasatun amahoa kona lahdoh pehding na gouve. Ahijeng vang'in, nanghon nadeiyu chu nanei theipouve, Pathen koma nathum loujeh u ahi.
3 You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
Chule nathum jeng vangun namudeh pouve, ajeh chu nalung gonu chu abona dihlou ahi-nang ho nopsahna ding bou na deijeh u ahi.
4 You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Nangho jonbolteho! Vannoito kigolvop theina hin Pathen melma a nasemu ahi geldoh lou nahiu vem? Seikit inge: Nangho Vannoito na kigolvop uva ahileh, Pathen melma a kisema nahiu ahitai.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit which he made to dwell in us yearns jealously"?
Pathen Thubun Pathen Lhagao isunguva cheng hin thangsetna a eidip dimu ahi kiti hi ipi nagel uvem?
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Hinlah Ama hin hitobang lung gitlou ngaichatna idou jouna dinguva lungsetna eichan cheh joh u ahi. Pathen Thubun, “Pathen in akiletsah ho adouvin, akineosah ho akhoto'e,” ati.
7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Hitichun, Pathen masanga kineosah un. Diabol chu douvun chutileh nanghoa konin jamdoh tante.
8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Pathen kom nailut un, chutileh Pathen in nahin nailut dingu ahi. Nakhut u sutheng un, michonse nangho; nalungu sutheng un, ajeh chu nangho Pathen le vannoi kikah ah nalungthimu akikehsotai.
9 Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom.
Nathilbol chunguva kisihna mitlhi longdoh hen. Lungkhamna le lunghemna tahbeh soh hen. Nuina sangin kana, chule kipana sangin lhasetna sohhen.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Pakai masanga kineosah un, chuteng Aman jabolna'a nadopsang dingu ahi.
11 Do not speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Kasopi deitahte, khat in khat dounan thuse seihih un. Nangho naki oimo touva chule khat in khat chung thu natan u ahileh Pathen danthu chu oimoa chule athutana napanu ahitai. Hinla naboldiu dol chu danthu najui diu bou ahin, athutan ding nahi lou u ahi.
12 Only one is the lawgiver and judge, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Danthu pea pang Pathen bou chu Thutanpa ahi. Ama bou chu huhhingthei ahilouleh sumangthei hiya ahi. Achutileh, nangman naheng nakom chunga thutan theina ipi thu naneiyem?
13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow let us go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit."
Tun veuvin, “Tuni ahilouleh jing tengleh khopi khat a gacheu hitin chule chuche mun a chun kum khat ga-umu hite. Chumuna chun sumkol gakiveiyu hitin chule sumpung holuhite,” natiuve.
14 Whereas you do not know what tomorrow will be like. What is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Jing nikhoa itobang hinkho naman diu nahet uvem? Nahin khou chu jingkah twimei tobang ahi-hikoma chomkhat uma, chujoule chemang tobang ahi.
15 For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that."
Gahsei dia pha chu, “Pakaiyin eidei peh u ahileh eiho hingu hitin chule hiche ahilouleh khuche bolu hite,” tiuvin.
16 But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.

17 To him therefore who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.
