Deuteronomy 23

1 No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off may enter the assembly of Jehovah.

۱ جماعت خداوند شخصی که کوبیده بیضه و آلت بریده باشد داخل جماعت خداوند نشود.

2 No one of illegitimate birth shall enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

۲ حرام زاده‌ای داخل جماعت خداوند نشود، حتی تا پشت دهم احدی از او داخل جماعت خداوند نشود.

3 An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of Jehovah forever:

۳ عمونی و موآبی داخل جماعت خداوند نشوند. حتی تا پشت دهم، احدی ازایشان هرگز داخل جماعت خداوند نشود.

4 because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Aram Naharaim, to curse you.

۴ زیراوقتی که شما از مصر بیرون آمدید، شما را در راه به نان و آب استقبال نکردند، و از این جهت که بلعام بن بعور را از فتور ارام نهرین اجیر کردند تا تو را لعنت کند.

5 Nevertheless Jehovah your God wouldn't listen to Balaam; but Jehovah your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because Jehovah your God loved you.

۵ لیکن یهوه خدایت نخواست بلعام را بشنود، پس یهوه خدایت لعنت را به جهت تو، به برکت تبدیل نمود، چونکه یهوه خدایت تو را دوست می‌داشت.

6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

۶ ابد در تمامی عمرت جویای خیریت و سعادت ایشان مباش.

7 You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

۷ ادومی را دشمن مدار چونکه برادر توست، ومصری را دشمن مدار چونکه در زمین وی غریب بودی.

8 The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

۸ اولادی که از ایشان زاییده شوند درپشت سوم داخل جماعت خداوند شوند.

9 When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

۹ چون در اردو به مقابله دشمنانت بیرون روی خویشتن را از هر چیز بد نگاه دار.

10 If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:

۱۰ اگر در میان شما کسی باشد که از احتلام شب نجس شود، از اردو بیرون رود و داخل اردونشود.

11 but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

۱۱ چون شب نزدیک شود با آب غسل کند، و چون آفتاب غروب کند، داخل اردو شود.

12 You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go outside there;

۱۲ و تو را مکانی بیرون از اردو باشد تا به آنجابیرون روی.

13 and you shall have a spade among your tools; and it shall be, when you sit down outside, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn and cover that which comes from you:

۱۳ و در میان اسباب تو میخی باشد، و چون بیرون می‌نشینی با آن بکن و برگشته، فضله خود را از آن بپوشان.

14 for Jehovah your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

۱۴ زیرا که یهوه خدایت درمیان اردوی تو می‌خرامد تا تو را رهایی داده، دشمنانت را به تو تسلیم نماید، پس اردوی تومقدس باشد، مبادا چیز پلید را در میان تو دیده، ازتو روگرداند.

15 You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

۱۵ غلامی را که از آقای خود نزد تو بگریزد به آقایش مسپار.

16 he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.

۱۶ با تو در میان تو در مکانی که برگزینند در یکی از شهرهای تو که به نظرش پسند آید، ساکن شود. و بر او جفامنما.

17 There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sacred male prostitute of the children of Israel.

۱۷ از دختران اسرائیل فاحشه‌ای نباشد و ازپسران اسرائیل لواطی نباشد.

18 You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Jehovah your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to Jehovah your God.

۱۸ اجرت فاحشه وقیمت سگ را برای هیچ نذری به خانه یهوه خدایت میاور، زیرا که این هر دو نزد یهوه خدایت مکروه است.

19 You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:

۱۹ برادر خود را به سود قرض مده نه به سودنقره و نه به سود آذوقه و نه به سود هر چیزی که به سود داده می‌شود.

20 to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

۲۰ غریب را می‌توانی به سودقرض بدهی، اما برادر خود را به سود قرض مده تایهوه خدایت در زمینی که برای تصرفش داخل آن می‌شوی تو را به هر‌چه دستت را بر آن درازمی کنی، برکت دهد.

21 When you shall vow a vow to Jehovah your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for Jehovah your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

۲۱ چون نذری برای یهوه خدایت می‌کنی دروفای آن تاخیر منما، زیرا که یهوه خدایت البته آن را از تو مطالبه خواهد نمود، و برای تو گناه خواهد بود.

22 But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

۲۲ اما اگر از نذر کردن ابا نمایی، تو راگناه نخواهد بود.

23 That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to Jehovah your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

۲۳ آنچه را که از دهانت بیرون آید، هوشیار باش که بجا آوری، موافق آنچه برای یهوه خدایت از اراده خود نذر کرده‌ای و به زبان خود گفته‌ای.

24 When you come into your neighbor's vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.

۲۴ چون به تاکستان همسایه خود درآیی، ازانگور، هر‌چه می‌خواهی به سیری بخور، اما درظرف خود هیچ مگذار.

25 When you come into your neighbor's standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain.

۲۵ چون به کشتزار همسایه خود داخل شوی، خوشه‌ها را به‌دست خود بچین، اما داس بر کشت همسایه خود مگذار.
