1 Samuel 3
1 The child Samuel ministered to Jehovah before Eli. The word of Jehovah was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.
童子サムエル、エリのまへにありてヱホバにつかふ當時はヱホバの言まれにして默示あること恒ならざりき
2 It happened at that time, when Eli was lying down in his place (now his eyes had begun to grow dim, so that he could not see),
偖エリ目漸くくもりて見ることをえず此時其室に寝たり
3 and the lamp of God hadn't yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in Jehovah's temple, where the ark of God was;
神の燈なほきえずサムエル神の櫃あるヱホバの宮に寝ね
4 that Jehovah called, "Samuel. Samuel." And he said, "Here I am."
時にヱホバ、サムエルをよびたまふ彼我此にありといひて
5 He ran to Eli, and said, "Here I am; for you called me." He said, "I did not call; lie down again." He went and lay down.
エリの許に趨ゆきいひけるは汝われをよぶ我ここにありエリいひけるは我よばず反りて臥よと乃ちゆきていぬ
6 Jehovah called yet again, "Samuel. Samuel." And he arose and went to Eli, and said, "Here I am; for you called me." He answered, "I did not call, my son; lie down again."
ヱホバまたかさねてサムエルよとよびたまへばサムエルおきてエリのもとにいたりいひけるは汝われをよぶ我ここにありエリこたへけるは我よばずわが子よ反りていねよ
7 Now Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, neither was the word of Jehovah yet revealed to him.
サムエルいまだヱホバをしらずまたヱホバのことばいまだかれにあらはれず
8 Jehovah called Samuel again the third time. He arose and went to Eli, and said, "Here I am; for you called me." Eli perceived that Jehovah had called the child.
ヱホバ、三たびめに又サムエルをよびたまへばサムエルおきてエリの許にたりいひけるは汝われをよぶ我ここにありとエリ乃ちヱホバの童子をよびたまひしをさとる
9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, "Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he calls you, that you shall say, 'Speak, Jehovah; for your servant hears.'" So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
故にエリ、サムエルにいひけるはゆきて寝よ彼若し汝をよばば僕聽くヱホバ語りたまへといへとサムエルゆきて其室にいねしに
10 Jehovah came, and stood, and called as at other times, "Samuel. Samuel." Then Samuel said, "Speak; for your servant hears."
ヱホバ來りて立ちまへの如くサムエル、サムエルとよびたまへばサムエル僕きく語りたまへといふ
11 Jehovah said to Samuel, "Look, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of everyone who hears it shall tingle.
ヱホバ、サムエルにいひ賜けるは視よ我イスラエルのうちに一の事をなさんこれをきくものは皆其耳ふたつながら鳴ん
12 In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from the beginning even to the end.
其日にはわれ嘗てエリの家について言しことを始より終までことごとくエリになすべし
13 For I have told him that I will judge his house forever, for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons were cursing God, and he did not restrain them.
われかつてエリに其惡事のために永くその家をさばかんとしめせりそは其子の詛ふべきことをなすをしりて之をとどめざればなり
14 Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be removed with sacrifice nor offering forever."
是故に我エリのいへに誓ひてエリの家の惡は犠牲あるひは禮物をもて永くあがなふ能はずといへり
15 And Samuel lay there until the morning, and in the morning he got up and opened the doors of the house of Jehovah. And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision.
サムエル朝までいねてヱホバの家の戸を開きしが其異象をエリにしめすことをおそる
16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, "Samuel, my son." He said, "Here I am."
エリ、サムエルをよびていひけるはわが子サムエルよ答へけるはわれここにあり
17 He said, "What is the thing that he has spoken to you? Please do not hide it from me. God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the things that he spoke to you in your ears."
エリいひけるは何事を汝につげたまひしや請ふ我にかくすなかれ汝もし其汝に告げたまひしところを一にてもかくすときは神汝にかくなし又かさねてかくなしたまヘ
18 And Samuel told him everything, and did not hide anything from him. And he said, "It is Jehovah. Let him do what seems good to him."
サムエル其事をことごとくしめして彼に隱すことなかりきエリいひけるは是はヱホバなり其よしと見たまふことをなしたまへと
19 Samuel grew, and Jehovah was with him, and let none of his words fall to the ground.
サムエルそだちぬヱホバこれとともにいましてそのことばをして一も地におちざらしめたまふ
20 All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of Jehovah.
ダンよりベエルシバにいたるまでイスラエルの人みなサムエルがヱホバの預言者とさだまれるをしれり
21 Jehovah appeared again in Shiloh; for Jehovah revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of Jehovah.
ヱホバふたたびシロにてあらはれたまふヱホバ、シロにおいてヱホバの言によりてサムエルにおのれをしめしたまふなりサムエルの言あまねくイスラエル人におよぶ
