Romans 10

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for them, that they may be saved.

ⲁ̅ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲛⲡⲁⲥⲟⲡⲥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ

2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

ⲃ̅ϯⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲱϩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ

3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

ⲅ̅ⲉⲩⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ ⲙⲙⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ

4 For Meshikha is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

ⲇ̅ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ

5 For Mushe writes about the righteousness of the law, "The one who does them will live by them."

ⲉ̅ⲁⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲥϩⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲧⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲥ ϥⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ

6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will go up into heaven?' (that is, to bring Meshikha down);

ⲋ̅ⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ

7 or, 'Who will go down into the deep?' (that is, to bring Meshikha up from the dead.)" (Abyssos g12)

ⲍ̅ⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ (Abyssos g12)

8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we proclaim:

ⲏ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲙⲟϥ

9 If you acknowledge with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

ⲑ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲅⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲕⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ

10 For with the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth acknowledgment is made, resulting in salvation.

ⲓ̅ⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲉⲩϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ

11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."

ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϥⲛⲁϫⲓϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛ

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on him.

ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲙⲛ ⲡⲱⲣϫ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲉⲓⲉⲛⲓⲛ ⲡⲓϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ

13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ

14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone preaching?

ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲓϣ

15 And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of peace, who bring good news of good things."

ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲉⲩⲧⲙϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ

16 But they did not all listen to the Good News. For Eshaya says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"

ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲛϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ

17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Meshikha.

ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲣⲁ ϭⲉ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲧⲉ ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ

18 But I ask, isn't it rather that they did not hear? On the contrary, "Their voice has gone out to all the earth, their words to the farthest parts of the world."

ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲩϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲡⲱϩ ϣⲁ ⲁⲣⲏϫⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲓⲕⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲏ

19 But I ask, did not Israyel know? First Mushe says, "I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is not a people. I will make you angry with a foolish nation."

ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲓⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲁϯⲕⲱϩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϯⲛⲁϯⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲑⲏⲧ

20 Eshaya is very bold, and says, "I was found by those who did not seek me. I was revealed to those who did not ask for me."

ⲕ̅ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁ ⲛϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉϫⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ

21 But as to Israyel he says, "All day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."

ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲡⲣϣ ⲛⲁϭⲓϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉⲩⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϩⲙ
