< Revelation 1 >

1 This is the Revelation of Yeshua Meshikha, which God gave him to show to his servants the things which must happen soon, which he sent and made known by his angel to his servant, Yukhanan,
ⲁ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲟⲕⲁⲗⲩⲯⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲁϥⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ
2 who testified to God's word, and of the testimony of Yeshua Meshikha, about everything that he saw.
ⲃ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time is near.
ⲅ̅ⲛⲁⲓⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ
4 Yukhanan, to the seven congregations that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from him who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;
ⲇ̅ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲉϥⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲧⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ
5 and from Yeshua Meshikha, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his blood;
ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲡⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲟ ⲛϩⲟⲧ ⲡϣⲣⲡⲙⲓⲥⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲡⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲃⲃⲟⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲛⲟϥ
6 and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲏⲃ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ (aiōn g165)
7 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
ⲍ̅ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲕⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲕⲟⲛⲥϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲉϩⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ
8 "I am the Alaph and the Tau," says the Lord God of hosts, "who is and who was and who is to come."
ⲏ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲫⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲱⲙⲉⲅⲁ ⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲡⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ
9 I Yukhanan, your brother and fellow-partner with you in persecution, Kingdom, and patient endurance in Yeshua, was on the island that is called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Yeshua.
ⲑ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲛϣⲃⲏⲣ ⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲣⲥ ⲁⲓϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲛⲏⲥⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲧⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲣⲥ
10 I was in the Rukha on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet
ⲓ̅ⲁⲓϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲕⲩⲣⲓⲁⲕⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲏ ϩⲓ ⲡⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲝ
11 saying, "What you see, write on a scroll and send to the seven congregations: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲕⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲥϩⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲅϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲙⲩⲣⲛⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲣⲅⲁⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲑⲉⲁⲧⲓⲣⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲁⲣⲇⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲫⲓⲗⲁⲇⲉⲗⲫⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲟⲇⲟⲕⲓⲁ
12 I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. Having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲕⲧⲟⲓ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲙⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲓⲕⲧⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲗⲩⲭⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ
13 And among the lampstands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲛⲗⲩⲭⲛⲓⲁ ⲉϥϭⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲛⲧⲟ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲓⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟϫϩ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ
14 His head and his hair were white as white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲃϣ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥϥⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲣⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲃϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲭⲓⲱⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲟ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲁϩ ⲛⲕⲱϩⲧ
15 His feet were like burnished bronze, as if it had been refined in a furnace. His voice was like the voice of many waters.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲃⲁⲣⲱⲧ ⲉϥⲡⲟⲥⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲣⲱ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉϥⲥⲙⲏ ⲟ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲟⲩ
16 He had seven stars in his right hand. Out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲟⲩⲛ ⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲉ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲉⲥⲧⲏⲙ ⲙⲫⲟ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲟ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲏ ⲉⲧⲣ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥϭⲟⲙ
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last,
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲓϩⲉ ϩⲁ ⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲧⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϩⲁⲉ
18 and the Living one. I was dead, but look, I am alive forevermore. I have the keys of Death and of Sheyul. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯⲟⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲉⲛϣⲟϣⲧ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧ ⲙⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲁⲙⲛⲧⲉ (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
19 Write therefore the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will happen hereafter;
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲥϩⲁⲓ ϭⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ
20 the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven congregations. The seven lampstands are seven congregations.
ⲕ̅ⲡⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲁⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲗⲩⲭⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲗⲩⲭⲛⲓⲁ ⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲉ
