< Psalms 14 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.
Aka mawt ham David kah Hlang ang loh amah lungbuei neh, “Pathen om pawh,” a ti dongah poci uh tih, a bibi khaw tueilaeh kap. A then aka saii khaw om pawh.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
Vaan lamkah BOEIPA loh hlang ca rhoek te hmuh hamla a dan. Pathen aka toem lungming khaw om van nim?
3 They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
Hlang boeih loh thikat la taengphael uh tih rhonging uh. A then aka saii om pawh. Pakhat khaw om pawh.
4 Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD.
Ka pilnam vaidam la aka bai tih aka yoop, BOEIPA aka khue mueh, boethae aka saii boeih loh ming mahpawt nim?
5 There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Aka dueng thawnpuei taengah Pathen a om dongah birhihnah neh pahoi birhih uh.
6 You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge.
Mangdaeng kah a cilsuep te na rholrhak cakhaw BOEIPA te anih kah hlipyingnah ni.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
Zion lamkah Isreal khangnah u long hang khuen. BOEIPA loh a pilnam thongtla te a lat vaengah Jakob omngaih saeh lamtah Israel a kohoe saeh.
