10 and Khizaqiya the father of Menashe, and Menashe the father of Ahmun, and Ahmun the father of Yushiya,
tasya suto minaśiḥ, tasya suta āmon tasya suto yośiyaḥ|
11 and Yushiya the father of Yukanya and his brothers, at the time of the exile to Babylon.
bābilnagare pravasanāt pūrvvaṁ sa yośiyo yikhaniyaṁ tasya bhrātṛṁśca janayāmāsa|
12 And after the exile to Babylon, Yukanya was the father of Shelatheil, and Shelatheil the father of Zurbabel,

tasya suto yākūb tasya suto yūṣaph tasya jāyā mariyam; tasya garbhe yīśurajani, tameva khrīṣṭam (arthād abhiṣiktaṁ) vadanti|
17 So all the generations from Avraham to Dawid are fourteen generations; and from Dawid to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the exile to Babylon to the Meshikha, fourteen generations.
ittham ibrāhīmo dāyūdaṁ yāvat sākalyena caturdaśapuruṣāḥ; ā dāyūdaḥ kālād bābili pravasanakālaṁ yāvat caturdaśapuruṣā bhavanti| bābili pravāsanakālāt khrīṣṭasya kālaṁ yāvat caturdaśapuruṣā bhavanti|
18 Now the birth of Yeshua Meshikha happened like this. His mother Maryam had been engaged to Yauseph, and before they came together, she was found to be with child from the Rukha d'Qudsha.
yīśukhrīṣṭasya janma kaththate| mariyam nāmikā kanyā yūṣaphe vāgdattāsīt, tadā tayoḥ saṅgamāt prāk sā kanyā pavitreṇātmanā garbhavatī babhūva|
19 And Yauseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
tatra tasyāḥ pati ryūṣaph saujanyāt tasyāḥ kalaṅgaṁ prakāśayitum anicchan gopanene tāṁ pārityaktuṁ manaścakre|
20 But when he thought about these things, look, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Yauseph, son of Dawid, do not be afraid to take to yourself Maryam, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Rukha d'Qudsha.
sa tathaiva bhāvayati, tadānīṁ parameśvarasya dūtaḥ svapne taṁ darśanaṁ dattvā vyājahāra, he dāyūdaḥ santāna yūṣaph tvaṁ nijāṁ jāyāṁ mariyamam ādātuṁ mā bhaiṣīḥ|
21 And she will bring forth a son, and you are to name him Yeshua, for he will save his people from their sins."
yatastasyā garbhaḥ pavitrādātmano'bhavat, sā ca putraṁ prasaviṣyate, tadā tvaṁ tasya nāma yīśum (arthāt trātāraṁ) karīṣyase, yasmāt sa nijamanujān teṣāṁ kaluṣebhya uddhariṣyati|
22 Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
itthaṁ sati, paśya garbhavatī kanyā tanayaṁ prasaviṣyate| immānūyel tadīyañca nāmadheyaṁ bhaviṣyati|| immānūyel asmākaṁ saṅgīśvara̮ityarthaḥ|
23 "Look, the virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call his name Amanuil;" which is translated, "God with us."
iti yad vacanaṁ purvvaṁ bhaviṣyadvaktrā īśvaraḥ kathāyāmāsa, tat tadānīṁ siddhamabhavat|
24 And Yauseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
anantaraṁ yūṣaph nidrāto jāgarita utthāya parameśvarīyadūtasya nideśānusāreṇa nijāṁ jāyāṁ jagrāha,
25 and had no marital relations with her until she had brought forth a son; and he named him Yeshua.
kintu yāvat sā nijaṁ prathamasutaṁ a suṣuve, tāvat tāṁ nopāgacchat, tataḥ sutasya nāma yīśuṁ cakre|
