Matthew 10
1 And he called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
ⲁ̅ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲛⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ ⲉⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲉϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓⲗⲟϫⲗⲉϫ ⲛⲓⲙ
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Shimon, who is called Kipha; and Andreus his brother; and Yaquv the son of Zabedai, and Yukhanan his brother;
ⲃ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲙⲛⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲁⲛⲇⲣⲉⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲍⲉⲃⲉⲇⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ
3 Philipus and Bar-Tulmai; Tama and Mattai the tax collector; Yaquv the son of Khalphai, and Thadai;
ⲅ̅ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲃⲁⲣⲑⲟⲗⲟⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲑⲱⲙⲁⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲁⲑⲑⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲗⲫⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲑⲁⲇⲇⲁⲓⲟⲥ
4 Shimon the Zealot, and Yehudah Sekariuta, who also betrayed him.
ⲇ̅ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲕⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲡⲓⲥⲕⲁⲣⲓⲱⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
5 Yeshua sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, "Do not go among the non-Jews, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans.
ⲉ̅ⲡⲉⲓⲙⲛⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ
6 Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israyel.
ⲋ̅ⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ϣⲁⲛⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲱⲣⲙ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ
7 And as you go, proclaim, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
ⲍ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓ ⲁⲥϩⲱⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
ⲏ̅ⲛⲉⲧϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲟⲃϩ ⲧⲃⲃⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲇⲁⲓⲙⲱⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲛϫⲓⲛϫⲏ ϯⲛϫⲓⲛϫⲏ
9 Do not take any gold, nor silver, nor copper in your money belts.
ⲑ̅ⲙⲡⲣϫⲡⲟ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲁⲧ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ϩⲟⲙⲛⲧ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟϫϩ
10 Take no bag for your journey, neither two tunics, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
ⲓ̅ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲏⲣⲁ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲥⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲣⲱⲃ ϥⲉⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲣⲉ
11 And into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲏ ⲡϯⲙⲉ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϭⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
12 And as you enter into the household, greet it.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲃⲏⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲁⲥⲡⲁⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
13 And if the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲕⲟⲧⲥ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ
14 And whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you leave that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲛⲁϫⲓⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥⲧⲙⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲏ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲏ ⲡϯⲙⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ
15 Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sedum and Amura in the day of judgment than for that city.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲟⲇⲟⲙⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲅⲟⲙⲟⲣⲣⲁ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
16 "Look, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be cunning as snakes and innocent as doves.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛϩⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲕⲉⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲓϭⲣⲟⲟⲙⲡⲉ
17 But beware of people: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ϯϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲛⲥⲩⲛϩⲉⲇⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲙⲁⲥⲧⲓⲅⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ
18 Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲥⲉϫⲓⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲛϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧ ⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ
19 But when they deliver you over, do not be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲣϥⲓⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁϫⲟⲟϥ
20 For it is not you who speak, but the Rukha of your Father who speaks in you.
ⲕ̅ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ
21 "And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
22 And you will be hated by everyone because of my name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲥⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ
23 But when they persecute you in one city, flee to the other. And if they persecute you in the other, flee to the next. For truly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israyel before the Son of Man comes.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲡⲱⲧ ⲛⲥⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲡⲱⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲉⲟⲩⲉⲓ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲓ
24 "A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲙⲛⲥⲃⲟⲩⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲛⲟϭ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲥⲁϩ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉϥϫⲟⲥⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Baelzebub, how much more those of his household.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲱ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲃⲟⲩⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲁϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲉⲉⲗⲍⲉⲃⲟⲩⲗ ⲡⲟⲥⲟ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲣⲙⲛⲏⲓ
26 Therefore do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϥϩⲟⲃⲥ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁϭⲟⲗⲡϥ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥϩⲏⲡ ⲉⲛϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲡⲉϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲁϫⲓϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲙⲁⲁϫⲉ ⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉⲡⲱⲣ
28 And do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gihana. (Geenna g1067)

29 "Are not two sparrows sold for an asarah coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will,
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲙⲏ ϫⲁϫ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲥⲉϯ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϫⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
ⲗ̅ⲛⲕⲉⲃⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲉ ⲏⲡ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
31 Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲟⲃⲉ ⲉϩⲁϩ ⲛϫⲁϫ
32 Everyone therefore who confesses me before people, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϭⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϯⲛⲁϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ϩⲱ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲁⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
33 But whoever denies me before people, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲡⲁⲣⲛⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲁⲡⲁⲣⲛⲁ ϩⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲁⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ
34 "Do not think that I came to send peace on the earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲙⲡⲣⲱϣ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲉ
35 For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲡⲱⲣϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩϣⲉⲗⲉⲉⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲥϣⲱⲙⲉ
36 And a person's foes will be those of his own household.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲛϫⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲣⲙⲛⲏⲓ
37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲏ ⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲛϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϩⲓϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲛϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ
38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲛⲁϥⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛϥⲟⲩⲁϩϥ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲛϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ
39 Whoever seeks his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϩⲉ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϥⲛⲁⲥⲟⲣⲙⲉⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲣⲙ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧ ϥⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ
40 Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥϣⲱⲡ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲧ
41 The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϥⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲃⲉⲕⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϥⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲃⲉⲕⲉ ⲙⲡⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, truly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward."
