< Ephesians 6 >

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
ⲁ̅ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲛ
2 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise:
ⲃ̅ⲙⲁⲧⲁⲓⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ
3 "that it may be well with you, and that you may live long in the land."
ⲅ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲅⲣⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
4 And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
ⲇ̅ⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϯⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲥⲁⲛⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲃⲱ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
5 Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Meshikha;
ⲉ̅ⲛϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲛϫⲓⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲧⲱⲧ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧϩⲁⲡⲗⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
6 not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as people-pleasers; but as servants of Meshikha, doing the will of God from the heart;
ⲋ̅ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲉⲓⲁ ⲛϭⲁⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲁⲛ ϩⲱⲥ ⲣⲉϥⲁⲣⲉⲥⲕⲉ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲱⲥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ
7 with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to people;
ⲍ̅ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲛϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲛ
8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
ⲏ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲁⲁⲁϥ ϥⲛⲁϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲓⲧⲉ ϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲓⲧⲉ ⲣⲙϩⲉ
9 You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
ⲑ̅ⲛϫⲓⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲁⲣⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛϭⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉϥϫⲓϩⲟ ϩⲁϩⲧⲏϥ
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
ⲓ̅ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲟⲙ
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ϯϩⲓⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲡⲁⲛϩⲟⲡⲗⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ ⲛⲕⲟⲧⲥ ⲙⲡⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ
12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world's rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲛⲙⲓϣⲉ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲥⲛⲟϥ ϩⲓ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲉⲓⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁⲧⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϫⲓ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲡⲁⲛϩⲟⲡⲗⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲉⲕ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ
14 Stand therefore, having the belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϯⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲉ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϯ ϩⲓⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲙⲡϩⲱⲕ ⲛⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ
15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲱⲧϩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲟⲃⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲛϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ
16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϩⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲑⲩⲣⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲉϣⲙⲥⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲡⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϫⲉⲣⲟ
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Rukha, which is the spoken word of God;
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲡⲉⲣⲓⲕⲉⲫⲁⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲥⲏϥⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Rukha, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓ ⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏ ⲛⲣⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲥⲣϥⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
19 on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲉϯ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱⲓ ⲉⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁ
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
ⲕ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϯⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲙⲙⲣⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲧϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲁϫⲟⲟϥ
21 But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things;
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲁⲟⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲣⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲩⲭⲓⲕⲟⲥ ⲡⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲛⲥⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
22 whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲉⲓϩⲱⲃ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲏⲧ
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Yeshua Meshikha.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Yeshua Meshikha with incorruptible love.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲁⲧⲧⲁⲕⲟ
