1 Samuel 29

1 Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites camped by the spring which is in Jezreel.

Y los Filisteos juntaron todos sus campos en Afec: e Israel puso su campo junto a la fuente que está en Jezrael.

2 The lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands; and David and his men passed on in the rear with Achish.

Y reconociendo los príncipes de los Filisteos sus compañías de a ciento, y de a mil hombres, David y los suyos iban en los postreros con Aquis.

3 Then the leaders of the Philistines said, "What about these Hebrews?" And Achish said to the leaders of the Philistines, "Isn't this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him since he defected to me until this day?"

Y dijeron los príncipes de los Filisteos: ¿Qué hacen aquí estos Hebreos? Y Aquis respondió a los príncipes de los Filisteos: ¿No es este David el siervo de Saul rey de Israel, que ha estado conmigo algunos días, o algunos años, y no he hallado cosa en él, desde el día que se pasó a mí hasta hoy?

4 But the leaders of the Philistines were angry with him; and the leaders of the Philistines said to him, "Make the man return, that he may go back to his place where you have appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us. For with what should this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Should it not be with the heads of these men?

Entonces los príncipes de los Filisteos se enojaron contra él, y dijéronle: Envía a este hombre, que se vuelva al lugar que le señalaste, y no venga con nosotros a la batalla, porque en la batalla no se nos vuelva enemigo: porque ¿con qué cosa volverá mejor en gracia con su señor que por las cabezas de estos hombres?

5 Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, 'Saul has slain his thousands, David his ten thousands?'"

¿No es este David, de quien cantaban en los corros, diciendo: Saul hirió sus miles, y David sus diez miles?

6 Then Achish called David, and said to him, "As the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight; for I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords do not favor you.

Y Aquis llamó a David, y díjole: Vive Jehová, que tú has sido recto, y que me ha parecido bien tu salida y entrada en el campo conmigo: y que ninguna cosa mala he hallado en ti, desde el día que veniste a mí hasta hoy: mas en los ojos de los príncipes no agradas.

7 Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you not displease the lords of the Philistines."

Vuélvete pues, y vete en paz: y no hagas lo malo en los ojos de los príncipes de los Filisteos.

8 David said to Achish, "But what have I done? What have you found in your servant so long as I have been before you to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"

Y David respondió a Aquis: ¿Qué he hecho? ¿Qué has hallado en tu siervo desde el día que estoy contigo hasta hoy, para que yo no vaya y pelee contra los enemigos de mi señor el rey?

9 Achish answered David, "I know that you are good in my sight, as an angel of God. Nevertheless the leaders of the Philistines have said, 'He shall not go up with us to the battle.'

Y Aquis respondió a David, y dijo: Yo sé que tú eres bueno en mis ojos, como un ángel de Dios: mas los príncipes de los Filisteos han dicho: No venga este con nosotros a la batalla.

10 Therefore now rise up early in the morning, you and the servants of your lord who have come with you, and go to the place which I allotted to you. As for evil remarks, take none to heart; for you are good in my sight. And as soon as you are up early in the morning, and have light, depart."

Levántate pues de mañana, tú y los siervos de tu señor que han venido contigo, y levantándoos de mañana, en amaneciendo, partíos.

11 So David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. The Philistines went up to Jezreel.

Y David se levantó de mañana, él y los suyos para irse, y volverse a la tierra de los Filisteos: y los Filisteos vinieron a Jezrael.
