1 John 5

1 Whoever believes that Yeshua is the Meshikha is born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.

ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ϣⲁϥⲙⲉⲣⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉ ⲛⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲙⲉⲣⲓ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

ⲅ̅ⲧⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲉϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲥⲉϩⲟⲣϣ ⲁⲛ

4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.

ⲇ̅ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲁϥϫⲣⲟ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲣⲟ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ

5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Yeshua is the Son of God?

ⲉ̅ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲣⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲓ ⲙⲏⲧⲉⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ

6 This is he who came by water and blood, Yeshua Meshikha; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Rukha who testifies, because the Rukha is the truth.

ⲋ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲓ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲙⲉ

7 For there are three who testify:

ⲍ̅ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲟⲙⲧ ⲉⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ

8 the Rukha, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.

ⲏ̅ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲓϣⲟⲙⲧ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲉ

9 If we accept human testimony, the witness of God is greater; for this is God's testimony that he has testified concerning his Son.

ⲑ̅ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲛϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲁⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ

10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

ⲓ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲣⲉϥϫⲓ ϭⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲁ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ

11 The testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)

12 He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have God's Son does not have the life.

ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ

13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)

14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲡⲡⲁⲣϩⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲛⲥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϥⲛⲁⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ

15 And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲏⲇⲏⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲁⲛⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ

16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I do not say that he should make a request concerning this.

ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲣⲉϣⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲛⲥⲉϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ

17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ

18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲁϥϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉϥⲕⲏ ϩⲙ ⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ

20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Yeshua Meshikha. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
