1 John 2
1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Yeshua Meshikha, the righteous.
ହେ ମୋହର ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ପାପ ନ କର, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଏହିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ଯଦି ପାପ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ସପକ୍ଷବାଦୀ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ।
2 And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
ଆଉ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାପ ନିମନ୍ତେ, କେବଳ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାପ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତ ଜଗତର ପାପ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
3 This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments.
ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କରୁ, ତେବେ ତଦ୍ୱାରା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେଉ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣୁ।
4 One who says, "I know him," and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ ନ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ବୋଲି ଯେ କହେ, ସେ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ଓ ତାହାଠାରେ ସତ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ;
5 But whoever keeps his word, God's love has truly been perfected in him. This is how we know that we are in him:
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରେ, ତାହାଠାରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରୂପେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି। ଏତଦ୍ଵାରା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛୁ।
6 he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.
ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ରହେ ବୋଲି କହେ, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପରି ଆଚରଣ କରିବା ମଧ୍ୟ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ।
7 Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard.
ହେ ପ୍ରିୟମାନେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ କୌଣସି ନୂତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଲେଖୁ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଯେଉଁ ପୁରାତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାଇଅଛ, ତାହା ଲେଖୁଅଛି; ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ତାହା ହିଁ ସେହି ପୁରାତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା।
8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines.
ପୁନଶ୍ଚ, ମୁଁ ନୂତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ସତ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ। କାରଣ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଘୁଞ୍ଚିଯାଉଅଛି ଓ ସତ୍ୟ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଲାଣି।
9 He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now.
ଯେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ଘୃଣା କରି କହେ ଯେ, ସେ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃରେ ଅଛି, ସେ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଅଛି।
10 He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.
ଯେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃରେ ରହେ, ପୁଣି, ତାହାଠାରେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟିବାର କୌଣସି କାରଣ ନାହିଁ।
11 But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ସେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଅଛି, ପୁଣି, ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରି କେଉଁଆଡ଼େ ଯାଉଅଛି, ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ତାହାର ଚକ୍ଷୁକୁ ଅନ୍ଧ କରିଅଛି।
12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ସକାଶେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା ହୋଇଅଛି।
13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young people, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father.
ହେ ପିତୃଗଣ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି, କାରଣ ଯେ ଆଦ୍ୟରୁ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଅଛ। ହେ ଯୁବକମାନେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପାତ୍ମାକୁ ଜୟ କରିଅଛ।
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young people, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖିଲି, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିଅଛ। ହେ ପିତୃଗଣ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖିଲି, କାରଣ ଯେ ଆଦ୍ୟରୁ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଅଛ। ହେ ଯୁବକମାନେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖିଲି, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବଳବାନ, ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପାତ୍ମାକୁ ଜୟ କରିଅଛ।
15 Do not love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love is not in him.
ସଂସାର କିଅବା ସେଥିରେ ଥିବା ବିଷୟ ସବୁକୁ ପ୍ରେମ ନ କର। କେହି ଯଦି ସଂସାରକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ପିତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ ତାହାଠାରେ ନାହିଁ;
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not the Father's, but is the world's.
କାରଣ ଶାରୀରିକ ଅଭିଳାଷ, ଚକ୍ଷୁର ଅଭିଳାଷ ଓ ଲୌକିକ ଗର୍ବ, ସଂସାରରେ ଥିବା ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପିତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସଂସାରରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୋଇଥାଏ।
17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever. (aiōn g165)
ପୁଣି, ସଂସାର ଓ ସେଥିର ଅଭିଳାଷ ଅନିତ୍ୟ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ପାଳନ କରେ, ସେ ନିତ୍ୟସ୍ଥାୟୀ। (aiōn g165)
18 Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Anti-Meshikha is coming, even now many anti-Meshikha's have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.
ହେ ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ଶେଷକାଳ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ, ପୁଣି, ଭଣ୍ଡଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆସିବ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଶୁଣିଥିଲ, ସେହିପରି ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନେକ ଭଣ୍ଡଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଉଠିଲେଣି; ଏତଦ୍ଵାରା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁଅଛୁ ଯେ, ଶେଷକାଳ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ।
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.
ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବାହାରିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦଳର ଲୋକ ନ ଥିଲେ; କାରଣ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦଳର ଲୋକ ହୋଇଥାଆନ୍ତେ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିଥାଆନ୍ତେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତେ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦଳର ଲୋକ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଯେପରି ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇବ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନେ ବାହାରିଗଲେ।
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେହି ପବିତ୍ର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଭିଷେକ ପାଇଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛ।
21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସତ୍ୟ ଜାଣି ନ ଥିବାରୁ ମୁଁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖିଲି, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସତ୍ୟ ଜାଣିଥିବାରୁ ଓ କୌଣସି ମିଥ୍ୟା ସତ୍ୟରୁ ଜାତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ ବୋଲି ଜାଣିଥିବାରୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖିଲି।
22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Yeshua is the Meshikha? This is the Anti-Meshikha, he who denies the Father and the Son.
ଯୀଶୁ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଯେ ନାସ୍ତି କରେ, ତାହାଠାରୁ ଆଉ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ କିଏ? ଯେ ପିତା ଓ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ନାସ୍ତି କରେ, ସେ ତ ସେହି ଭଣ୍ଡଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ।
23 Whoever denies the Son, the same does not have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
ଯେ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ନାସ୍ତି କରେ, ସେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରି ନାହିଁ; ଯେ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ, ସେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରିଅଛି।
24 As for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଥାଉ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ତାହା ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଥାଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପୁତ୍ର ଓ ପିତାଙ୍କଠାରେ ରହିବ।
ଆଉ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ। (aiōnios g166)
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.
ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଲେଖିଲି।
27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you remain in him.
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଅଭିଷେକ ପାଇଅଛ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ରହିଅଛି, ପୁଣି, କେହି ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେହି ଅଭିଷେକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଯେଉଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ, ତାହା ସତ୍ୟ ଅଟେ, ମିଥ୍ୟା ନୁହେଁ; ଏଣୁ ସେହି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁସାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ରୁହ।
28 Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
ଅତଏବ, ହେ ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ରୁହ, ଯେପରି ସେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଗମନ ସମୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ନ ହୋଇ ସାହସ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା।
29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of him.
ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଯଦି ଜାଣ, ତେବେ ଯେ କେହି ଧର୍ମାଚରଣ କରେ, ସେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ, ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାଣ।
