Luke 8
1 It happened shortly afterwards that he began to go from town to town and village to village, preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God.
I stalo se potom, že on chodil po městech a po městečkách, káže a zvěstuje království Boží, a dvanácte s ním.
2 The twelve were with him, and certain women whom he had delivered from evil spirits and various diseases. Mary of Magdala, out of whom seven demons have been driven,
I ženy některé, kteréž byl uzdravil od duchů zlých a od nemocí: Maria, kteráž slove Magdaléna, z níž bylo sedm ďáblů vyšlo,
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many other women, who used to minister to him out of their substance.
A Johanna manželka Chuzova, úředníka Heródesova, a Zuzanna, a jiné mnohé, kteréž posluhovaly jemu z statků svých.
4 As a great crowd was gathering, and men of town after town kept restoring to him, he spoke a parable to them.
Když se pak scházel zástup mnohý, a z měst hrnuli se k němu, mluvil v podobenství:
5 "A sower went out to sow his seed, and as he sowed some fell by the wayside, and was trodden under foot, and the wild birds ate it up.
Vyšel rozsevač, aby rozsíval símě své. A když on rozsíval, jedno padlo podlé cesty, i pošlapáno jest, a ptáci nebeští zzobali je.
6 "Some other seed dropped on the rock, as soon as it grew it withered away, because it had no moisture.
A jiné padlo na skálu, a vzešlé uvadlo, proto že nemělo vláhy.
7 "Another part fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew with it and choked it.
Jiné pak padlo mezi trní, a spolu zrostlé trní udusilo je.
8 "But some fell on good soil, and grew up, and brought forth fruit, a hundredfold." When he said this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear with, let him listen."
A jiné padlo v zemi dobrou, a když vzešlo, učinilo užitek stý. To pověděv, volal: Kdo má uši k slyšení, slyš.
9 Then his disciples began to interrupt him, saying, "What does this parable mean?"
I otázali se ho učedlníci jeho, řkouce: Jaké jest to podobenství?
10 He answered. "To you it is given to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God; But all others are taught in parables so that seeing they shall not see, and hearing they shall not hear.
A on řekl: Vám dáno jest znáti tajemství království Božího, ale jiným v podobenství, aby hledíce, neviděli, a slyšíce, nerozuměli.
11 "This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God.
Jestiť pak podobenství toto: Símě jest slovo Boží.
12 "Those by the wayside are people who hear, but then comes the devil and carries off the word from their heart, so that they may not believe and not be saved.
A kteréž padlo podlé cesty, jsou ti, kteříž slyší, a potom přichází ďábel, a vynímá slovo z srdce jejich, aby nevěříce, spaseni nebyli.
13 "Those on the rock are people who, upon hearing, receive the word with joy; but they have no root. For a time indeed they all believe, but in time of temptation they fall away.
Ale kteříž na skálu, ti když slyší, s radostí přijímají slovo, ale ti kořenů nemají; ti na čas věří, a v čas pokušení odstupují.
14 "And that which fell upon thorns is those who have heard, but as they go on their way of word is choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of life; so they bring no fruit of perfection.
Kteréž pak mezi trní padlo, tiť jsou, kteříž slyší, ale po pečování a zboží a rozkošech života jdouce, bývají udušeni, a nepřinášejí užitku.
15 "And that in the good soil is those who have listened to the message and, in an honest and good heart, hold fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Ale kteréž v zemi dobrou, ti jsou, kteříž v srdci ctném a dobrém, slyšíce slovo, zachovávají, a užitek přinášejí v trpělivosti.
16 "When he lights a lamp no one covers it with a vase or hides it under a bed; he puts it on a lamp-stand so whoever may behold the light.
Žádný pak rozsvítě svíci, nepřikrývá jí nádobou, ani staví pod postel, ale na svícen staví, aby ti, kteříž vcházejí, světlo viděli.
17 "For is nothing hidden that shall not be disclosed; there is nothing secret which shall not be made known and come to the light.
Nebo nic není tajného, což by nemělo býti zjeveno, ani co ukrytého, což by nemělo poznáno býti, a na světlo vyjíti.
18 "Take heed, then, how you listen. for he who has, to him shall it be given, but from him who has not, shall be taken away even what he has."
Protož vizte, jak slyšíte. Nebo kdož má, tomu bude dáno, a kdo nemá, i to, což domnívá se míti, bude odjato od něho.
19 There came to him his mother and his brothers, and they could not reach him because of the crowd.
Tedy přišli k němu matka a bratří jeho, ale nemohli ho dojíti pro zástup.
20 But some one told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you."
I pověděli mu, řkouce: Matka tvá a bratří tvoji stojí vně, chtíce tebe viděti.
21 "My mother and brothers," he answered, "are those who listen to the word of God and obey it."
A on odpověděv, řekl jim: Matka má a bratří moji jsou ti, kteříž slovo Boží slyší a plní je.
22 Now it happened that one of these days he got into a boat, And him his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us cross to the other side of the lake."
Stalo se pak v jeden den, že on vstoupil na lodí i učedlníci jeho. I řekl jim: Přeplavme se přes jezero. I pustili se.
23 So they set sail. While they were sailing he fell asleep. And there fell on the lake a squall of wind, so that the boat began to fill, and they to be in deadly peril.
A když se plavili, usnul. Tedy přišel vítr bouřlivý na jezero, a lodí se naplňovala, tak že v nebezpečenství byli.
24 Then they came to him and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we are lost!" Then he awoke, and rebuked the winds and the raging of the sea. They ceased, and there was a calm.
I přistoupivše, zbudili ho, řkouce: Mistře, Mistře, hyneme. A on procítiv, přimluvil větru a zdutí vod. I spokojili se, a stalo se utišení.
25 "Where is your faith?" he asked them, In their terror they were filled with amazement, and said to one another, "Who is this who commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey him?"
I řekl jim: Kdež jest víra vaše? Kteřížto bojíce se, podivili se, vespolek řkouce: I kdo jest tento, že i větrům přikazuje i vodám, a poslouchají ho?
26 Then they put in at the country of Gadarenes, which is across from Galilee.
I přeplavili se do krajiny Gadarenské, kteráž jest proti Galilei.
27 When he landed here he was met by a certain townsman who was possessed by demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes and nor lived in any house, but in tombs.
A když vystoupil na zemi, potkal jej muž nějaký z města, kterýž měl ďábelství od mnoha časů, a rouchem se neodíval, ani v domě nebýval, ale v hrobích.
28 When he saw Jesus he cried out, and fell down before him, and in a loud voice exclaimed. "What have we to do with you, Jesus, you son of God Most High? I implore you to torment me not!"
Uzřev pak Ježíše a zkřikna, padl před ním, a hlasem velikým řekl: Co jest tobě do mne, Ježíši, Synu Boha nejvyššího? Prosím tebe, netrap mne.
29 For Jesus was already commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him and held him, and they again and again kept him under guard, and put him in chains and fetters. But he would break his bonds asunder, as he was driven by the demon in to the desert.
Nebo přikazoval tomu duchu nečistému, aby vyšel z toho člověka. Po mnohé zajisté časy jím lomcoval, tak že býval ukován řetězy, a v poutech ostříhán, ale on polámaje okovy, býval od ďábelství puzen na poušť.
30 So Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, "Legion" (for many demons had entered into him).
I otázal se ho Ježíš, řka: Jakť říkají? A on řekl: Množství. Nebo bylo mnoho ďáblů vešlo do něho.
Tedy prosili ho, aby jim nepřikazoval odtud odjíti do propasti. (Abyssos g12)
32 Now there was a great herd of swine feeding on the hillside, and the demons begged him to give them leave to enter them. He gave them leave.
Bylo pak tu veliké stádo vepřů, kteříž se pásli na hoře. I prosili ho, aby jim dopustil do nich vjíti. I dopustil jim.
33 The demons came out of the man, and entered into the swine; the herd rushed violently down over the cliff into the lake.
I vyšedše ďáblové z toho člověka, vešli do vepřů, i hnalo se to stádo prudce s vrchu do jezera, a ztonulo.
34 And those who saw what had happened fled and reported it in the town and the villages.
A viděvše pastýři, co se stalo, utekli, a šedše, vypravovali to v městě i po vsech.
35 Then the people came out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man out of whom the demons had gone sitting clothed and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus. And they were terrified.
I vyšli, aby viděli, co se stalo. I přišli k Ježíšovi, a nalezli člověka toho, z kteréhož ďáblové vyšli, oděného a majícího rozum, an sedí u noh Ježíšových. I báli se.
36 Then those who had seen it told them how the demon-possessed man had been saved.
A vypravovali jim také ti, kteříž byli viděli, kterak jest ten vyproštěn, kterýž ďábelství měl.
37 And the whole populace of Gadarenes and the surrounding territory besought Jesus to go away from them; for they were terror-stricken. So he entered a boat and returned.
I prosilo ho všecko množství té okolní krajiny Gadarenských, aby odšel od nich; nebo bázní velikou naplněni byli. A on vstoupiv na lodí, navrátil se.
38 But the man out of whom the demons had gone kept begging him that he might be with him. But Jesus sent him away saying,
Prosil ho pak muž ten, z kteréhož ďáblové vyšli, aby s ním byl. Ale Ježíš propustil ho, řka:
39 "Return to your home, and tell them all that God has done for you." So he went away and throughout the whole city he published how much Jesus had done for him.
Navrať se do domu svého, a vypravuj, kterak veliké věci učinil tobě Bůh. I odšel, po všem městě vypravuje, jak veliké věci učinil jemu Ježíš.
40 And as Jesus returned the crowd welcomed him;
Stalo se pak, když se navrátil Ježíš, že přijal jej zástup; nebo všickni očekávali ho.
41 for they were all waiting for him. Just then there came a man named Jarius, and he was ruler in the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house;
A aj, přišel muž, kterémuž jméno bylo Jairus, a ten byl kníže školy. I padna k nohám Ježíšovým, prosil ho, aby všel do domu jeho.
42 for he had only one daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay dying. But as he went the crowds continued to press in on him.
Nebo měl dceru jedinou, asi ve dvanácti letech, a ta umírala. A když šel, tiskli jej zástupové.
43 And a woman who for twelve years had had a hemorrhage, and had spent on doctors all that she had, but none had cured her,
Tedy žena, kteráž nemoc svou trpěla od let dvanácti, a byla na lékaře vynaložila všecken statek, a od žádného nemohla uzdravena býti,
44 came close behind him, and touched the hem of his garment; and instantly the hemorrhage ceased.
Přistoupivši po zadu, dotkla se podolka roucha jeho, a hned přestala nemoc její.
45 "Who is that touched me?" said Jesus and when everybody denied it, Peter said, "Master, the crowds are hemming you in and pressing upon you."
I řekl Ježíš: Kdo jest, ješto se mne dotekl? A když všickni zapírali, řekl Petr, a kteříž s ním byli: Mistře, zástupové tebe tisknou a tlačí, a pravíš: Kdo se mne dotekl?
46 But Jesus said. "Some one did touch me; for I perceived that the power was proceeding out of me."
I řekl Ježíš: Dotekl se mne někdo, nebo poznal jsem já, že moc ode mne vyšla.
47 Then the woman, who saw that she had not escaped notice, came trembling, and falling down before him, stated before the people for what reason she had touched him, and how she had been instantly healed.
A viduci ta žena, že by tajno nebylo, třesuci se, přistoupila a padla před ním, a pro kterou příčinu dotkla se ho, pověděla jemu přede vším lidem, a kterak jest hned uzdravena.
48 "Daughter," he said "your faith has made you well, go on into peace."
A on řekl jí: Dobré mysli buď, dcero, víra tvá tebe uzdravila. Jdiž u pokoji.
49 As he was speaking some one came from the house of the synagogue, saying. "Your daughter is dead! Do not trouble the Master."
A když on ještě mluvil, přišel jeden od knížete školy, řka jemu: Umřela dcera tvá, nezaměstknávej Mistra.
50 But Jesus heard and answered. "Have no fear. Only believe, and she shall be restored."
Ale Ježíš uslyšav to, odpověděl jemu: Neboj se, věř toliko, a zdrávať bude.
51 So he came to the house, and would not permit anyone to go in with him except Peter and Johnand James, and the father and Mother of the little girl.
A všed do domu, nedopustil s sebou vjíti žádnému, než Petrovi a Jakubovi a Janovi, a otci a mateři té děvečky.
52 The people were weeping and bewailing her, but he said. "Stop your wailing; for she is not dead, but asleep."
Plakali jí pak všickni a kvílili. A on řekl: Neplačtež. Neumřelať, ale spí.
53 They began to laugh him to scorn, because they knew well that she was dead.
I posmívali se jemu, vědouce, že umřela.
54 But he took her by the hand and called to her, "Little daughter, rise!"
On pak vyhnav ven všecky, a ujav ruku její, zvolal, řka: Děvečko, vstaň.
55 And her spirit returned and instantly she stood up.
I navrátil se duch její, a vstala hned. I kázal jí dáti jísti.
56 He bade them to get her some food. Her parents were amazed; but he forbade them to tell any one what had been done.
I divili se náramně rodičové její. A on jim kázal, aby žádnému nepravili o tom, co se bylo stalo.
