1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip, tetrarch of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias, tetrarch of Abilene;
১অনন্তরং তিবিরিযকৈসরস্য রাজৎৱস্য পঞ্চদশে ৱৎসরে সতি যদা পন্তীযপীলাতো যিহূদাদেশাধিপতি র্হেরোদ্ তু গালীল্প্রদেশস্য রাজা ফিলিপনামা তস্য ভ্রাতা তু যিতূরিযাযাস্ত্রাখোনীতিযাপ্রদেশস্য চ রাজাসীৎ লুষানীযনামা অৱিলীনীদেশস্য রাজাসীৎ
2 during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zachariah, in the Desert.
২হানন্ কিযফাশ্চেমৌ প্রধানযাজাকাৱাস্তাং তদানীং সিখরিযস্য পুত্রায যোহনে মধ্যেপ্রান্তরম্ ঈশ্ৱরস্য ৱাক্যে প্রকাশিতে সতি
3 And Johnwent into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
৩স যর্দ্দন উভযতটপ্রদেশান্ সমেত্য পাপমোচনার্থং মনঃপরাৱর্ত্তনস্য চিহ্নরূপং যন্মজ্জনং তদীযাঃ কথাঃ সর্ৱ্ৱত্র প্রচারযিতুমারেভে|
4 As it is written in the book of the prophet Isaiah. The voice of one crying in the desert, Prepare the way for God, make straight paths for him.
৪যিশযিযভৱিষ্যদ্ৱক্তৃগ্রন্থে যাদৃশী লিপিরাস্তে যথা, পরমেশস্য পন্থানং পরিষ্কুরুত সর্ৱ্ৱতঃ| তস্য রাজপথঞ্চৈৱ সমানং কুরুতাধুনা|
5 Every ravine shall be filled up, Every hill and mountain shall be laid low, The crooked shall be made straight, And the rough roads smooth;
৫কারিষ্যন্তে সমুচ্ছ্রাযাঃ সকলা নিম্নভূমযঃ| কারিষ্যন্তে নতাঃ সর্ৱ্ৱে পর্ৱ্ৱতাশ্চোপপর্ৱ্ৱতাঃ| কারিষ্যন্তে চ যা ৱক্রাস্তাঃ সর্ৱ্ৱাঃ সরলা ভুৱঃ| কারিষ্যন্তে সমানাস্তা যা উচ্চনীচভূমযঃ|
6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
৬ঈশ্ৱরেণ কৃতং ত্রাণং দ্রক্ষ্যন্তি সর্ৱ্ৱমানৱাঃ| ইত্যেতৎ প্রান্তরে ৱাক্যং ৱদতঃ কস্যচিদ্ রৱঃ||
7 So Johnused to say to the crowd of those who were going out to be baptized by him. "You breed of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
৭যে যে লোকা মজ্জনার্থং বহিরাযযুস্তান্ সোৱদৎ রে রে সর্পৱংশা আগামিনঃ কোপাৎ পলাযিতুং যুষ্মান্ কশ্চেতযামাস?
8 Then bring forth fruit befitting your penitence, and do not begin to say to yourselves, "We have Abraham as our father." I tell you that God is able to raise up sons to Abraham out of these stones.
৮তস্মাদ্ ইব্রাহীম্ অস্মাকং পিতা কথামীদৃশীং মনোভি র্ন কথযিৎৱা যূযং মনঃপরিৱর্ত্তনযোগ্যং ফলং ফলত; যুষ্মানহং যথার্থং ৱদামি পাষাণেভ্য এতেভ্য ঈশ্ৱর ইব্রাহীমঃ সন্তানোৎপাদনে সমর্থঃ|
9 And now truly the axe is already laid at the root of the trees. So every tree which is not bearing good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."
৯অপরঞ্চ তরুমূলেঽধুনাপি পরশুঃ সংলগ্নোস্তি যস্তরুরুত্তমং ফলং ন ফলতি স ছিদ্যতেঽগ্নৌ নিক্ষিপ্যতে চ|
10 And the crowd began to ask him questions. "What shall we do then?" they asked. In reply he said to them.
১০তদানীং লোকাস্তং পপ্রচ্ছুস্তর্হি কিং কর্ত্তৱ্যমস্মাভিঃ?
11 "If you have two shirts share with him who has none; and let him who has food do the same."
১১ততঃ সোৱাদীৎ যস্য দ্ৱে ৱসনে ৱিদ্যেতে স ৱস্ত্রহীনাযৈকং ৱিতরতু কিংঞ্চ যস্য খাদ্যদ্রৱ্যং ৱিদ্যতে সোপি তথৈৱ করোতু|
12 There came to him publicans also to be baptized, and they said to him, "Master, what must we do?"
১২ততঃ পরং করসঞ্চাযিনো মজ্জনার্থম্ আগত্য পপ্রচ্ছুঃ হে গুরো কিং কর্ত্তৱ্যমস্মাভিঃ?
13 And he said to them, "Exact no more than the sum allowed you."
১৩ততঃ সোকথযৎ নিরূপিতাদধিকং ন গৃহ্লিত|
14 The soldiers also repeatedly questioned him, saying, "And we, what shall we do?" "Do not intimidate any one," he replied, "nor lay false charges, and be content with your pay."
১৪অনন্তরং সেনাগণ এত্য পপ্রচ্ছ কিমস্মাভি র্ৱা কর্ত্তৱ্যম্? ততঃ সোভিদধে কস্য কামপি হানিং মা কার্ষ্ট তথা মৃষাপৱাদং মা কুরুত নিজৱেতনেন চ সন্তুষ্য তিষ্ঠত|
15 And while the people were in expectation, and all men were debating in their hearts about John,
১৫অপরঞ্চ লোকা অপেক্ষযা স্থিৎৱা সর্ৱ্ৱেপীতি মনোভি র্ৱিতর্কযাঞ্চক্রুঃ, যোহনযম্ অভিষিক্তস্ত্রাতা ন ৱেতি?
16 whether perhaps he were the Christ, Johnanswered, saying to all of them. "I indeed am baptizing you in water, but One is coming after me, mightier than I, whose shoe-latchet I am not worthy to unloose. He shall baptize you in the Holy Ghost and in fire.
১৬তদা যোহন্ সর্ৱ্ৱান্ ৱ্যাজহার, জলেঽহং যুষ্মান্ মজ্জযামি সত্যং কিন্তু যস্য পাদুকাবন্ধনং মোচযিতুমপি ন যোগ্যোস্মি তাদৃশ একো মত্তো গুরুতরঃ পুমান্ এতি, স যুষ্মান্ ৱহ্নিরূপে পৱিত্র আত্মনি মজ্জযিষ্যতি|
17 He has his fan in his hand to cleanse his threshing-floor thoroughly, and to gather the wheat into his storehouse, but the chaff will he burn with unquenchable fire."
১৭অপরঞ্চ তস্য হস্তে শূর্প আস্তে স স্ৱশস্যানি শুদ্ধরূপং প্রস্ফোট্য গোধূমান্ সর্ৱ্ৱান্ ভাণ্ডাগারে সংগ্রহীষ্যতি কিন্তু বূষাণি সর্ৱ্ৱাণ্যনির্ৱ্ৱাণৱহ্নিনা দাহযিষ্যতি|
18 With many other exhortations then Johndeclared the gospel to the people;
১৮যোহন্ উপদেশেনেত্থং নানাকথা লোকানাং সমক্ষং প্রচারযামাস|
19 but Herod, the Tetrarch, when reproved by him because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the wicked deeds that he had done,
১৯অপরঞ্চ হেরোদ্ রাজা ফিলিপ্নাম্নঃ সহোদরস্য ভার্য্যাং হেরোদিযামধি তথান্যানি যানি যানি কুকর্ম্মাণি কৃতৱান্ তদধি চ
20 added yet this above them all that he shut up Johnin prison.
২০যোহনা তিরস্কৃতো ভূৎৱা কারাগারে তস্য বন্ধনাদ্ অপরমপি কুকর্ম্ম চকার|
21 Now after all the people had been baptized, and Jesus himself had been baptized and was praying,
২১ইতঃ পূর্ৱ্ৱং যস্মিন্ সমযে সর্ৱ্ৱে যোহনা মজ্জিতাস্তদানীং যীশুরপ্যাগত্য মজ্জিতঃ|
22 heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form like a dove, descended upon him. and a voice came out of heaven, saying. "Thou art my Son, dearly beloved; in thee is my delight."
২২তদনন্তরং তেন প্রার্থিতে মেঘদ্ৱারং মুক্তং তস্মাচ্চ পৱিত্র আত্মা মূর্ত্তিমান্ ভূৎৱা কপোতৱৎ তদুপর্য্যৱরুরোহ; তদা ৎৱং মম প্রিযঃ পুত্রস্ত্ৱযি মম পরমঃ সন্তোষ ইত্যাকাশৱাণী বভূৱ|
23 And Jesus himself when he began to teach was about thirty years of age. He was the son (as it was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
২৩তদানীং যীশুঃ প্রাযেণ ত্রিংশদ্ৱর্ষৱযস্ক আসীৎ| লৌকিকজ্ঞানে তু স যূষফঃ পুত্রঃ,
24 son of Matthat, son of Levi, son of Melchi,
২৪যূষফ্ এলেঃ পুত্রঃ, এলির্মত্ততঃ পুত্রঃ, মত্তৎ লেৱেঃ পুত্রঃ, লেৱি র্মল্কেঃ পুত্রঃ, মল্কির্যান্নস্য পুত্রঃ; যান্নো যূষফঃ পুত্রঃ|
