Luke 14
1 It happened on the Sabbath Day when he went into the house of a certain ruler among Pharisees to take a meal, that they were watching him.
১অনন্তৰং ৱিশ্ৰামৱাৰে যীশৌ প্ৰধানস্য ফিৰূশিনো গৃহে ভোক্তুং গতৱতি তে তং ৱীক্ষিতুম্ আৰেভিৰে|
2 And lo! there was in front of him a man who had dropsy.
২তদা জলোদৰী তস্য সম্মুখে স্থিতঃ|
3 So Jesus questioned the lawyers and the Pharisees, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath Day or not?"
৩ততঃ স ৱ্যৱস্থাপকান্ ফিৰূশিনশ্চ পপ্ৰচ্ছ, ৱিশ্ৰামৱাৰে স্ৱাস্থ্যং কৰ্ত্তৱ্যং ন ৱা? ততস্তে কিমপি ন প্ৰত্যূচুঃ|
4 They kept silent. Then Jesus took him and healed him and let him go.
৪তদা স তং ৰোগিণং স্ৱস্থং কৃৎৱা ৱিসসৰ্জ;
5 And to them he said, "Which of you when an ox or ass has fallen into a well, will at once pull him out on the Sabbath Day?"
৫তানুৱাচ চ যুষ্মাকং কস্যচিদ্ গৰ্দ্দভো ৱৃষভো ৱা চেদ্ গৰ্ত্তে পততি তৰ্হি ৱিশ্ৰামৱাৰে তৎক্ষণং স কিং তং নোত্থাপযিষ্যতি?
6 They could not answer this.
৬ততস্তে কথাযা এতস্যাঃ কিমপি প্ৰতিৱক্তুং ন শেকুঃ|
7 He told a parable to the guests when he noticed how they began choosing the best seats. He said to them.
৭অপৰঞ্চ প্ৰধানস্থানমনোনীতৎৱকৰণং ৱিলোক্য স নিমন্ত্ৰিতান্ এতদুপদেশকথাং জগাদ,
8 "When you are invited by any one to a marriage-feast, do not sit down in the best seat, lest a guest more distinguished than yourself has been invited, and your host come to you and say,
৮ৎৱং ৱিৱাহাদিভোজ্যেষু নিমন্ত্ৰিতঃ সন্ প্ৰধানস্থানে মোপাৱেক্ষীঃ| ৎৱত্তো গৌৰৱান্ৱিতনিমন্ত্ৰিতজন আযাতে
9 "‘Give place to this man,’ and then with mortification you proceed to take the lowest place.
৯নিমন্ত্ৰযিতাগত্য মনুষ্যাযৈতস্মৈ স্থানং দেহীতি ৱাক্যং চেদ্ ৱক্ষ্যতি তৰ্হি ৎৱং সঙ্কুচিতো ভূৎৱা স্থান ইতৰস্মিন্ উপৱেষ্টুম্ উদ্যংস্যসি|
10 "But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when your host arrives he may say to you, ‘My friend, come up higher.’ Then you will be honored before the other guest.
১০অস্মাৎ কাৰণাদেৱ ৎৱং নিমন্ত্ৰিতো গৎৱাঽপ্ৰধানস্থান উপৱিশ, ততো নিমন্ত্ৰযিতাগত্য ৱদিষ্যতি, হে বন্ধো প্ৰোচ্চস্থানং গৎৱোপৱিশ, তথা সতি ভোজনোপৱিষ্টানাং সকলানাং সাক্ষাৎ ৎৱং মান্যো ভৱিষ্যসি|
11 "For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted."
১১যঃ কশ্চিৎ স্ৱমুন্নমযতি স নমযিষ্যতে, কিন্তু যঃ কশ্চিৎ স্ৱং নমযতি স উন্নমযিষ্যতে|
12 Also to his host who had invited him, he continued, saying. "When you are making a dinner-party or a supper, do not invite your friends, or your brothers, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors, lest it chance that they invite you in return, and a recompense be made by you.
১২তদা স নিমন্ত্ৰযিতাৰং জনমপি জগাদ, মধ্যাহ্নে ৰাত্ৰৌ ৱা ভোজ্যে কৃতে নিজবন্ধুগণো ৱা ভ্ৰাতৃগণো ৱা জ্ঞাতিগণো ৱা ধনিগণো ৱা সমীপৱাসিগণো ৱা এতান্ ন নিমন্ত্ৰয, তথা কৃতে চেৎ তে ৎৱাং নিমন্ত্ৰযিষ্যন্তি, তৰ্হি পৰিশোধো ভৱিষ্যতি|
13 "But when you make a reception, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.
১৩কিন্তু যদা ভেজ্যং কৰোষি তদা দৰিদ্ৰশুষ্ককৰখঞ্জান্ধান্ নিমন্ত্ৰয,
14 "Then you will be blessed, because they have no means to repay you, but you shall be paid in the Resurrection of the Just."
১৪তত আশিষং লপ্স্যসে, তেষু পৰিশোধং কৰ্ত্তুমশক্নুৱৎসু শ্মশানাদ্ধাৰ্ম্মিকানামুত্থানকালে ৎৱং ফলাং লপ্স্যসে|
15 One of his fellow guest who was listening to him, said to him, "Blessed are those who eat bread in the kingdom of God."
১৫অনন্তৰং তাং কথাং নিশম্য ভোজনোপৱিষ্টঃ কশ্চিৎ কথযামাস, যো জন ঈশ্ৱৰস্য ৰাজ্যে ভোক্তুং লপ্স্যতে সএৱ ধন্যঃ|
16 Jesus answered. "A certain man was making a great feast to which he invited many guests.
১৬ততঃ স উৱাচ, কশ্চিৎ জনো ৰাত্ৰৌ ভেজ্যং কৃৎৱা বহূন্ নিমন্ত্ৰযামাস|
17 "At dinnertime he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’
১৭ততো ভোজনসমযে নিমন্ত্ৰিতলোকান্ আহ্ৱাতুং দাসদ্ৱাৰা কথযামাস, খদ্যদ্ৰৱ্যাণি সৰ্ৱ্ৱাণি সমাসাদিতানি সন্তি, যূযমাগচ্ছত|
18 "And they all, without exception, proceeded to excuse themselves. The first told him. ‘I have bought a field, and must needs go and see it. Pray have me excused.’
১৮কিন্তু তে সৰ্ৱ্ৱ একৈকং ছলং কৃৎৱা ক্ষমাং প্ৰাৰ্থযাঞ্চক্ৰিৰে| প্ৰথমো জনঃ কথযামাস, ক্ষেত্ৰমেকং ক্ৰীতৱানহং তদেৱ দ্ৰষ্টুং মযা গন্তৱ্যম্, অতএৱ মাং ক্ষন্তুং তং নিৱেদয|
19 "The second said. ‘I have bought five yolk of oxen and am on my way to try them. I pray that you will have me excused.’
১৯অন্যো জনঃ কথযামাস, দশৱৃষানহং ক্ৰীতৱান্ তান্ পৰীক্ষিতুং যামি তস্মাদেৱ মাং ক্ষন্তুং তং নিৱেদয|
20 "‘I have taken a wife,’ said the another, ‘and for that reason I am unable to come.’
২০অপৰঃ কথযামাস, ৱ্যূঢৱানহং তস্মাৎ কাৰণাদ্ যাতুং ন শক্নোমি|
21 "So the slave came and presented all these answers to his master. Then the master of the house was indignant, and said to his slave. ‘Go out, quickly, into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in hither the poor, the maimed, the blind, the lame.’
২১পশ্চাৎ স দাসো গৎৱা নিজপ্ৰভোঃ সাক্ষাৎ সৰ্ৱ্ৱৱৃত্তান্তং নিৱেদযামাস, ততোসৌ গৃহপতিঃ কুপিৎৱা স্ৱদাসং ৱ্যাজহাৰ, ৎৱং সৎৱৰং নগৰস্য সন্নিৱেশান্ মাৰ্গাংশ্চ গৎৱা দৰিদ্ৰশুষ্ককৰখঞ্জান্ধান্ অত্ৰানয|
22 "And the slave said, ‘My master, your orders have been carried out, but yet there is room.’
২২ততো দাসোঽৱদৎ, হে প্ৰভো ভৱত আজ্ঞানুসাৰেণাক্ৰিযত তথাপি স্থানমস্তি|
23 "Said the master to his slave. ‘Go out into the roads and the hedges, and make them come in, so that my house may be filled.
২৩তদা প্ৰভুঃ পুন ৰ্দাসাযাকথযৎ, ৰাজপথান্ ৱৃক্ষমূলানি চ যাৎৱা মদীযগৃহপূৰণাৰ্থং লোকানাগন্তুং প্ৰৱৰ্ত্তয|
24 "‘For I tell you that not one of those invited guests shall taste my supper.’"
২৪অহং যুষ্মভ্যং কথযামি, পূৰ্ৱ্ৱনিমন্ত্ৰিতানমেকোপি মমাস্য ৰাত্ৰিভোজ্যস্যাস্ৱাদং ন প্ৰাপ্স্যতি|
25 Great crowds were along with him, and he turned to them and said.
২৫অনন্তৰং বহুষু লোকেষু যীশোঃ পশ্চাদ্ ৱ্ৰজিতেষু সৎসু স ৱ্যাঘুট্য তেভ্যঃ কথযামাস,
26 "If any one comes to me and does not hate father and his mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters, yes, and his own very life also, he cannot be a disciple of mine.
২৬যঃ কশ্চিন্ মম সমীপম্ আগত্য স্ৱস্য মাতা পিতা পত্নী সন্তানা ভ্ৰাতৰো ভগিম্যো নিজপ্ৰাণাশ্চ, এতেভ্যঃ সৰ্ৱ্ৱেভ্যো ময্যধিকং প্ৰেম ন কৰোতি, স মম শিষ্যো ভৱিতুং ন শক্ষ্যতি|
27 "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me, cannot be a disciple of mine.
২৭যঃ কশ্চিৎ স্ৱীযং ক্ৰুশং ৱহন্ মম পশ্চান্ন গচ্ছতি, সোপি মম শিষ্যো ভৱিতুং ন শক্ষ্যতি|
28 "Which of you who is desirous of building a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, to see if he has the means to complete it?
২৮দুৰ্গনিৰ্ম্মাণে কতিৱ্যযো ভৱিষ্যতি, তথা তস্য সমাপ্তিকৰণাৰ্থং সম্পত্তিৰস্তি ন ৱা, প্ৰথমমুপৱিশ্য এতন্ন গণযতি, যুষ্মাকং মধ্য এতাদৃশঃ কোস্তি?
29 "Lest it happen that after he has laid the foundations and is unable to complete it, all who see it shall begin to jeer at him saying,
২৯নোচেদ্ ভিত্তিং কৃৎৱা শেষে যদি সমাপযিতুং ন শক্ষ্যতি,
30 "‘This fellow began to build and could not finish.’
৩০তৰ্হি মানুষোযং নিচেতুম্ আৰভত সমাপযিতুং নাশক্নোৎ, ইতি ৱ্যাহৃত্য সৰ্ৱ্ৱে তমুপহসিষ্যন্তি|
31 "Or what king as he goes forth to join battle with another king in war does not sit down first and deliberate whether he can meet with ten thousand men the one who is advancing against him with twenty thousand?
৩১অপৰঞ্চ ভিন্নভূপতিনা সহ যুদ্ধং কৰ্ত্তুম্ উদ্যম্য দশসহস্ৰাণি সৈন্যানি গৃহীৎৱা ৱিংশতিসহস্ৰেঃ সৈন্যৈঃ সহিতস্য সমীপৱাসিনঃ সম্মুখং যাতুং শক্ষ্যামি ন ৱেতি প্ৰথমং উপৱিশ্য ন ৱিচাৰযতি এতাদৃশো ভূমিপতিঃ কঃ?
32 "If he cannot, while the other king is yet a great way off, he sends an embassy to ask conditions of peace.
৩২যদি ন শক্নোতি তৰ্হি ৰিপাৱতিদূৰে তিষ্ঠতি সতি নিজদূতং প্ৰেষ্য সন্ধিং কৰ্ত্তুং প্ৰাৰ্থযেত|
33 "Just so any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
৩৩তদ্ৱদ্ যুষ্মাকং মধ্যে যঃ কশ্চিন্ মদৰ্থং সৰ্ৱ্ৱস্ৱং হাতুং ন শক্নোতি স মম শিষ্যো ভৱিতুং ন শক্ষ্যতি|
34 "Salt is good, but if even the salt have lost its flavor, with what shall it be seasoned?
৩৪লৱণম্ উত্তমম্ ইতি সত্যং, কিন্তু যদি লৱণস্য লৱণৎৱম্ অপগচ্ছতি তৰ্হি তৎ কথং স্ৱাদুযুক্তং ভৱিষ্যতি?
35 "It is fit neither for the land nor the dung-hill; men cast it out. He who has ears to hear let him listen to this!"
৩৫তদ ভূম্যৰ্থম্ আলৱালৰাশ্যৰ্থমপি ভদ্ৰং ন ভৱতি; লোকাস্তদ্ বহিঃ ক্ষিপন্তি| যস্য শ্ৰোতুং শ্ৰোত্ৰে স্তঃ স শৃণোতু|
