Psalms 89
1 AN INSTRUCTION OF ETHAN THE EZRAHITE. Of the kind acts of YHWH, I sing for all time, From generation to generation I make known Your faithfulness with my mouth,
Pieśń pouczający Etana Ezrachity. Będę śpiewać o miłosierdziu PANA na wieki, swymi ustami będę głosił twoją wierność przez wszystkie pokolenia.
2 For I said, “Kindness is built for all time, The heavens! You establish Your faithfulness in them.”
Powiedziałem bowiem: Miłosierdzie będzie budowane na wieki, na niebiosach utwierdziłeś swoją wierność.
3 I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:
Zawarłem przymierze z moim wybrańcem; przysiągłem Dawidowi, swemu słudze;
4 “Even for all time I establish your seed, And have built your throne to generation and generation.” (Selah)
Na wieki utwierdzę twoje potomstwo i zbuduję twój tron na wszystkie pokolenia. (Sela)
5 And the heavens confess Your wonders, O YHWH, Your faithfulness [is] also in an assembly of holy ones.
PANIE, niebiosa wysławiają twoje cuda i twoją wierność w zgromadzeniu świętych.
6 For who in the sky, compares himself to YHWH? [Who] is like to YHWH among sons of the mighty?
Któż bowiem na niebie może się równać z PANEM? [Kto] pośród synów mocarzy jest podobny do PANA?
7 God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
Bóg jest straszliwy w zgromadzeniu świętych i budzi grozę wśród wszystkich, [którzy są] wokół niego.
8 O YHWH, God of Hosts, Who [is] like You—a strong YAH? And Your faithfulness [is] around You.
PANIE, Boże zastępów, któż [jest] jak ty, PAN mocny? Twoja wierność bowiem cię otacza.
9 You [are] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows You restrain them.
Ty panujesz nad wzburzonym morzem; gdy się podnoszą jego fale, ty je poskramiasz.
10 You have bruised Rahab, as one wounded. You have scattered Your enemies with the arm of Your strength.
Ty zmiażdżyłeś Rahaba jak rannego, mocą twego ramienia rozproszyłeś swoich wrogów.
11 The heavens [are] Yours, The earth [is] also Yours, The habitable world and its fullness, You have founded them.
Twoje [są] niebiosa, twoja też ziemia; ty ugruntowałeś świat i wszystko, co go napełnia.
12 North and south You have appointed them, Tabor and Hermon sing in Your Name.
Ty stworzyłeś północ i południe; Tabor i Hermon śpiewają o twoim imieniu.
13 You have an arm with might, Strong is Your hand—high Your right hand.
Twoje ramię jest mocne, twoja ręka potężna, a twoja prawica wzniesiona.
14 Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Your throne, Kindness and truth go before Your face.
Sprawiedliwość i sąd są podstawą twego tronu, miłosierdzie i prawda idą przed twoim obliczem.
15 O the blessedness of the people knowing the shout, O YHWH, they habitually walk in the light of Your face.
Błogosławiony lud, który zna okrzyk radości; będzie chodzić w świetle twego oblicza, PANIE.
16 They rejoice in Your Name all the day, And they are exalted in Your righteousness,
W twoim imieniu będą się weselić każdego dnia, a w twojej sprawiedliwości będą wywyższeni.
17 For You [are] the beauty of their strength, And in Your good will is our horn exalted,
Ty bowiem jesteś chwałą ich mocy i z twojej woli nasz róg będzie wzniesiony.
18 For our shield [is] of YHWH, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Bo PAN jest naszą tarczą, a Święty Izraela naszym królem.
19 Then You have spoken in vision, To Your saint, indeed, You say, I have placed help on a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,
Powiedziałeś wtedy w widzeniu do twego świętego: Udzieliłem pomocy mocarzowi, wywyższyłem wybranego z ludu.
20 I have found My servant David, With My holy oil I have anointed him.
Znalazłem Dawida, mego sługę, namaściłem go swoim świętym olejem.
21 With whom My hand is established, My arm also strengthens him.
Moja ręka będzie przy nim i wzmocni go moje ramię.
22 An enemy does not exact on him, And a son of perverseness does not afflict him.
Nie będzie uciskany przez wroga, a syn nieprawości go nie pognębi.
23 And I have beaten down his adversaries before him, And I plague those hating him,
Zetrę na jego oczach jego przeciwników, a tych, którzy go nienawidzą, powalę.
24 And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My Name is his horn exalted.
Ponadto moja prawda i miłosierdzie będą z nim, a w moim imieniu jego róg będzie wzniesiony.
25 And I have set his hand on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.
I położę na morzu jego rękę i na rzekach jego prawicę.
26 He proclaims to Me: “You [are] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.”
On zawoła: Ty jesteś moim ojcem, moim Bogiem i skałą mego zbawienia.
27 I also appoint him firstborn, Highest of the kings of the earth.
Ja też uczynię go pierworodnym [i] najwyższym wśród królów ziemi.
28 For all time I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] steadfast with him.
Na wieki zachowam dla niego swoje miłosierdzie, a moje przymierze z nim będzie trwałe.
29 And I have set his seed forever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
Jego potomstwo utrwalę na wieki, a jego tron – jak dni niebios.
30 If his sons forsake My law, And do not walk in My judgments;
Ale jeśli jego synowie porzucą moje prawo i nie będą postępowali według moich nakazów;
31 If they defile My statutes, And do not keep My commands,
Jeśli moje ustawy znieważą, a moich przykazań nie będą przestrzegać;
32 I have looked after their transgression with a rod, And their iniquity with strokes,
Wtedy ukarzę rózgą ich przestępstwo, a ich nieprawość biczami.
33 And I do not break My kindness from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.
Ale nie odbiorę mu mojego miłosierdzia ani nie zawiodę w mojej wierności.
34 I do not profane My covenant, And I do not change that which is going forth from My lips.
Nie złamię mego przymierza ani nie zmienię tego, co wyszło z moich ust.
35 Once I have sworn by My holiness, I do not lie to David,
Raz przysiągłem na moją świętość, że nie skłamię Dawidowi.
36 His seed is for all time, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,
Jego potomstwo będzie trwać na wieki, a jego tron jak słońce przede mną;
37 It is established as the moon for all time, And the witness in the sky is steadfast. (Selah)
Jak księżyc będzie utwierdzone na wieki i [jak] wierny świadek na niebie. (Sela)
38 And You, You have cast off, and reject, You have shown Yourself angry with Your anointed,
A jednak odrzuciłeś [go] i wzgardziłeś nim, rozgniewałeś się na twego pomazańca.
39 Have rejected the covenant of Your servant, You have defiled his crown to the earth,
Zerwałeś przymierze z twoim sługą, strąciłeś na ziemię jego koronę.
40 You have broken down all his hedges, You have made his fortifications a ruin.
Zburzyłeś wszystkie jego płoty i rozwaliłeś jego baszty.
41 Everyone passing by the way has spoiled him, He has been a reproach to his neighbors,
Grabią go wszyscy, którzy przechodzą drogą; stał się pośmiewiskiem dla swoich sąsiadów.
42 You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries, You have caused all his enemies to rejoice.
Podniosłeś prawicę jego przeciwników, sprawiłeś radość wszystkim jego wrogom.
43 Also—You turn back the sharpness of his sword, And have not established him in battle,
Stępiłeś też ostrze jego miecza i nie wsparłeś go w walce.
44 Have caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And have cast down his throne to the earth.
Położyłeś koniec jego chwale, a jego tron obaliłeś na ziemię.
45 You have shortened the days of his youth, Have covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)
Skróciłeś dni jego młodości, okryłeś go hańbą. (Sela)
46 Until when, O YHWH, are You hidden? Does Your fury burn as fire forever?
Jak długo, PANIE? Czy wiecznie będziesz się ukrywał? Czy twoja zapalczywość będzie płonąć jak ogień?
47 Remember how [short] my lifetime [is]. Why have You created in vain All the sons of men?
Pamiętaj, jak krótkie jest moje życie; czy na próżno stworzyłeś wszystkich synów ludzkich?
48 Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Któż z ludzi może żyć i nie ujrzeć śmierci? [Któż] wyrwie swą duszę z mocy grobu? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where [are] Your former kindnesses, O Lord, [Which] You have sworn to David in Your faithfulness?
Gdzie są, o Panie, twoje dawne łaski, [które] przysiągłeś Dawidowi w swej prawdzie?
50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,
Pamiętaj, Panie, o zniewadze twoich sług; [o tym], że noszę w swym zanadrzu [wzgardę] wszystkich możnych narodów;
51 With which Your enemies reproached, O YHWH, With which they have reproached The steps of Your anointed.
Którą twoi wrogowie znieważają, PANIE, którą znieważają ścieżki twego pomazańca.
52 Blessed [is] YHWH for all time. Amen and amen!
Błogosławiony [niech będzie] PAN na wieki. Amen, amen.
