Luke 1
1 Seeing that many took in hand to set in order a narration of the matters that have been fully assured among us,
ⲁ̅ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ⳿ⲥϧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ.
2 as they delivered to us, who from the beginning became eyewitnesses, and officers of the word,
ⲃ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ.
3 it seemed good also to me, having followed from the first after all things exactly, to write to you in order, most noble Theophilus,
ⲅ̅ⲁⲥⲣⲁⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲱ ⳿ⲉⲁⲓⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲕⲣⲁⲧⲓⲥⲧⲉ ⲉⲟⲫⲓⲗⲉ.
4 that you may know the certainty of the things wherein you were instructed.
ⲇ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲕⲁⲑⲏⲭⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ.
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest, by name Zacharias, of the division of Abijah, and his wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elizabeth;
ⲉ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲏⲣⲱⲇⲏⲥ ⳿ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲏⲃ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲁⲃⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϣⲉⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲁ⳿ⲁⲣⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ.
6 and they were both righteous before God, going on in all the commands and righteousnesses of the LORD blameless,
ⲋ̅ⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲃ̅ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲉⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲓ⳿ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ.
7 and they had no child, because that Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in their days.
ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲧϭⲣⲏⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲁⲓⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲃ̅ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ.
8 And it came to pass, in his acting as priest, in the order of his division before God,
ⲏ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲧⲁⲝⲓⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot was to make incense, having gone into the temple of the LORD,
ⲑ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ϯⲕⲁϩⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏⲃ ⲁ ⲡⲓⲱⲡ ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲉⲛ ⳿ⲥⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪.
10 and all the multitude of the people were praying outside, at the hour of the incense.
ⲓ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ.
11 And there appeared to him a messenger of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of the incense,
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲉϥⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲥⲁⲟⲩ⳿ⲓⲛⲁⲙ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲁ⳿ⲛⲉⲣϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ.
12 and Zacharias, having seen, was troubled, and fear fell on him;
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ϥ⳿ϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲩϩⲟϯ ⲁⲥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ.
13 and the messenger said to him, “Do not fear, Zacharias, for your supplication was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you will call his name John,
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲕ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⲉⲥ⳿ⲉⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ.
14 and there will be joy to you, and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth,
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲱⲡⲓ ⲁⲕ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲣⲁϣⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥϫⲓⲛⲙⲓⲥⲓ.
15 for he will be great before the LORD, and wine and strong drink he may not drink, and he will be full of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅⳿ϥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲩⲥⲓⲕⲉⲣⲁ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲙⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲉϥϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲑⲛⲉϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲩ.
16 and he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the LORD their God,
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲕⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲠ⳪ ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϯ.
17 and he will go before Him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn hearts of fathers to children, and disobedient ones to the wisdom of righteous ones, to make ready for the LORD, a people prepared.”
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲉⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲏⲗⲓⲁⲥ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲑⲉ ⳿ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲓⲟϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲑⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩ⳿ⲑⲙⲁⲓⲟϥ.
18 And Zacharias said to the messenger, “Whereby will I know this? For I am aged, and my wife is advanced in her days?”
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲟⲩϧⲉⲗⲗⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲁ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲁⲥⲁⲓⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲥ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ.
19 And the messenger answering said to him, “I am Gabriel, who has been standing near before God, and I was sent to speak to you, and to proclaim this good news to you,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲃⲣⲓⲏⲗ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲙⲁⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁⲓ.
20 and behold, you will be silent, and not able to speak, until the day that these things will come to pass, because you did not believe my words that will be fulfilled in their season.”
ⲕ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲕⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ϣⲁ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ.
21 And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondering at his lingering in the temple,
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁϫⲱϥ ⳿ⲛⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏ ⲣⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉϫⲉ ⲁϥⲱⲥⲕ ⳿ⲛϧⲟⲩⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ.
22 and having come out, he was not able to speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, and he was beckoning to them, and remained mute.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲁϥ⳿ϣϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϧⲟⲩⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲛⲁϥϭⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲟϩⲓ ϥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟ.
23 And it came to pass, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he went away to his house,
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲙⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ.
24 and after those days, his wife Elizabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲃⲟⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲥϩⲱⲡ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛⲉ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲃⲟⲧ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ.
25 “Thus the LORD has done to me, in days in which He looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men.”
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲡⲉⲧⲁ Ⲡ⳪ ⲁⲓϥ ⲏⲓ ⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲱⲗⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁϣⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ.
26 And in the sixth month the messenger Gabriel was sent by God, to a city of Galilee, the name of which [is] Nazareth,
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲁⲃⲟⲧ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁϩⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛⲅⲁⲃⲣⲓⲏⲗ ⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ.
27 to a virgin, betrothed to a man, whose name [is] Joseph, of the house of David, and the name of the virgin [is] Mary.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ϩⲁ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩⲱⲡ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛϯⲡⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ.
28 And the messenger having come in to her, said, “Greetings, favored one, the LORD [is] with you; blessed [are] you among women”;
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲭⲉⲣⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲉϩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ Ⲡ⳪ ⲛⲉⲙⲉ.
29 and she, having seen, was troubled at his word, and was reasoning of what kind this salutation may be.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲥ⳿ϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲥⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲁϣ ⳿ⲛⲣⲏϯ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
30 And the messenger said to her, “Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God;
ⲗ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⲁⲣⲉϫⲓⲙⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
31 and behold, you will conceive in the womb, and will bring forth a Son, and call His Name Jesus;
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲧⲉⲣⲁⲉⲣⲃⲟⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅.
32 He will be great, and He will be called Son of the Highest, and the LORD God will give Him the throne of His father David,
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ.
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob for all ages; and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (aiōn g165)

34 And Mary said to the messenger, “How will this be, seeing I do not know a husband?”
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲱⲥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ.
35 And the messenger answering said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you, therefore also the holy-begotten thing will be called Son of God;
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⳿ϥⲛⲁ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲉⲣϧⲏ ⲓⲃⲓ ⲉⲣⲟ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙⲁⲥϥ ⳿ϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
36 and behold, Elizabeth, your relative, she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month to her who was called barren;
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⲧⲉⲥⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲏ ⲥ ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲃⲟⲕⲓ ⲱⲥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲙⲉⲧϧⲉⲗⲗⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲙⲁϩⲋ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲃⲟⲧ ⲡⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲁⲧϭⲣⲏⲛ.
37 because nothing will be impossible with God.”
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲓ ⲛⲁⲧϫⲟⲙ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ.
38 And Mary said, “Behold, the maidservant of the LORD; let it be to me according to your saying,” and the messenger went away from her.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ϯⲃⲱⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲉⲥ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ.
39 And Mary having arisen in those days, went into the hill-country, with haste, to a city of Judea,
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲥⲧⲱⲛⲥ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲥϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲓⲏⲥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲓⲁⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ.
40 and entered into the house of Zacharias, and greeted Elizabeth.
ⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲉ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲁⲥⲡⲁⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ.
41 And it came to pass, when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the baby leapt in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⲁϥⲕⲓⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲛⲉϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲙⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ.
42 and spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed [are] you among women, and blessed [is] the Fruit of your womb;
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲱϣ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲱⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ⲧⲉ⳿ⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϩⲓ⳿ⲟⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲉϫⲓ.
43 and from where [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord might come to me?
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲑⲱⲛ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲑⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁϫ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ.
44 For behold, when the voice of your salutation came to my ears, the baby in my womb leapt in gladness;
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲧ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲉⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲙⲁϣϫ ⲁϥⲕⲓⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲛⲉϫⲓ.
45 and blessed [is] she who believed, for there will be a completion to the things spoken to her from the LORD.”
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲛⲓⲁⲧⲥ ⳿ⲛⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲛⲁϩϯ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏ ⲧⲁⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ Ⲡ⳪.
46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the LORD,
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⲁ ⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϭⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪.
47 And my spirit was glad on God my Savior,
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡⲁⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ϯ ⲡⲁⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ.
48 Because He looked on the lowliness of His maidservant, For behold, from now on all the generations will call me blessed,
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲑⲉⲃⲓⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲃⲱⲕⲓ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲙⲁⲕⲁⲣⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲓⲅⲉⲛⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
49 For He who is mighty did great things to me, And holy [is] His Name,
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ϫⲉ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲑⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲟⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ.
50 And His kindness [is] to generations of generations, To those fearing Him;
ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϥⲛⲁⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϣⲁ ϩⲁⲛϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛϫⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ϧⲁⲧⲉϥϩⲏ.
51 He did powerfully with His arm, He scattered abroad the proud in the thought of their heart,
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲙⲁϩⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ϫⲫⲟⲓ ⲁϥϫⲱⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϭⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ.
52 He brought down the mighty from thrones, And He exalted the lowly,
ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲣⲱϧⲧ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲱⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϭⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲑⲉⲃⲓⲏⲟⲩⲧ.
53 He filled the hungry with good, And the rich He sent away empty;
ⲛ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲏⲉⲧϩⲟⲕⲉⲣ ⲁϥ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲁⲙⲁⲟ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲩⲓⲧ.
54 He has taken hold of His servant Israel, To remember kindness,
ⲛ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϥϯ ⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲉⲣ⳿ⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲛⲁⲓ.
ⲛ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ ⲁⲃⲣⲁⲁⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōn g165)
56 And Mary remained with her about three months, and turned back to her house.
ⲛ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ ⳿ⲛⲅ̅ ⳿ⲛⲁⲃⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲕⲟⲧⲥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲓ.
57 And to Elizabeth was the time fulfilled for her bringing forth, and she bore a son,
ⲛ̅ⲍ̅ⲁ ⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲗⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲑⲣⲉⲥⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ.
58 and the neighbors and her relatives heard that the LORD was making His kindness great with her, and they were rejoicing with her.
ⲛ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲧⲉ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲏⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲥⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁ Ⲡ⳪ ⲉⲣ ⲡⲉϥⲛⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ ⲡⲉ.
59 And it came to pass, on the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child, and they were calling him by the name of his father, Zacharias,
ⲛ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁϩⲏ̅ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ⲍⲁ ⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ.
60 and his mother answering said, “No, but he will be called John.”
ⲝ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ.
61 And they said to her, “There is none among your relatives who is called by this name,”
ⲝ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲁⲛ.
62 and they were making signs to his father, what he would wish him to be called,
ⲝ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩϭⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉ ⲁⲭ ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ.
63 and having asked for a tablet, he wrote, saying, “John is his name”; and they all wondered;
ⲝ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲓⲛⲁⲕⲓⲥ ⲁϥ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ.
64 and his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue, and he was speaking, praising God.
ⲝ̅ⲇ̅ⲁ ⲣⲱϥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⳿ⲛϯϩⲟϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲥ ⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲫϯ.
65 And fear came on all those dwelling around them, and in all the hill-country of Judea were all these sayings spoken of,
ⲝ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓ ⲓⲓⲁⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ.
66 and all who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” And the hand of the LORD was with him.
ⲝ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⳿ⲧϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ.
67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
ⲝ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲍⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ⲁϥⲙⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏ ⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ.
68 “Blessed [is] the LORD, the God of Israel, Because He looked on, And worked redemption for His people,
ⲝ̅ⲏ̅⳿ϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲉⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲱϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ.
69 And raised a horn of salvation to us, In the house of His servant David,
ⲝ̅ⲑ̅ⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲡ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲛⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ.

71 Salvation from our enemies, And out of the hand of all hating us,
ⲟ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛϫⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲙⲟⲥϯ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ.
72 To do kindness with our fathers, And to be mindful of His holy covenant,
ⲟ̅ⲃ̅⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲉⲣ⳿ⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲇⲓ⳿ⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.
73 An oath that He swore to Abraham our father,
ⲟ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲓⲁⲛⲁϣ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲱⲣⲕ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲁⲃⲣⲁⲁⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ.
74 To give to us, without fear, Having been delivered out of the hand of our enemies,
ⲟ̅ⲇ̅⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲁⲧⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⳿ⲉⲁⲛⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲛϫⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
75 To serve Him, in holiness and righteousness Before Him, all the days of our life.
ⲟ̅ⲉ̅ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⲛⲛⲉⲛ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
76 And you, child, Prophet of the Highest will you be called; For you will go before the face of the LORD, To prepare His ways.
ⲟ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ ⳿ⲭⲛⲁⲉⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲉⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲱⲓⲧ.
77 To give knowledge of salvation to His people In forgiveness of their sins,
ⲟ̅ⲍ̅⳿ⲉϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲫⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲱ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
78 Through the yearnings of our God, In which the rising from on high looked on us,
ⲟ̅ⲏ̅ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧϣⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫⲛⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁϣⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡϭⲓⲥⲓ.
79 To give light to those sitting in darkness and death-shade, To guide our feet to a way of peace.”
ⲟ̅ⲑ̅⳿ⲉⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲧϧⲏⲓⲃⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛⲥⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛ ϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ.
80 And the child grew, and was strengthened in spirit, and he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.
