Psalms 82

1 “A psalm of Assaph.” God standeth in the congregation of God, in the midst of judges doth he judge.

Deus está na congregação dos poderosos; julga no meio dos deuses.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and treat with favor the face of the wicked? (Selah)

Até quando julgareis injustamente, e aceitareis as pessoas dos ímpios? (Selah)

3 Judge uprightly the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and indigent.

Fazei justiça ao pobre e ao órfão: justificai o aflito e necessitado.

4 Release the poor and needy: deliver them out of the power of the wicked.

Livrai o pobre e o necessitado; tirai-os das mãos dos ímpios.

5 They know not, nor will they understand; in darkness do they walk on: all the foundations of the earth are moved.

Eles não conhecem, nem entendem; andam em trevas; todos os fundamentos da terra vacilam.

6 I have indeed said, Ye are gods; and children of the most High are all of you.

Eu disse: Vós sois deuses, e todos vós filhos do altíssimo.

7 But verily like men shall ye die, and like one of the princes shall ye fall.

Todavia morrereis como homens, e caireis como qualquer dos príncipes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for thou wilt possess all the nations.

Levanta-te, ó Deus, julga a terra, pois tu possuis todas as nações.
