Psalms 61

1 “To the chief musician upon Neginah, by David.” Hear, O God, my entreaty; listen to my prayer.

Ouve, ó Deus, o meu clamor; atende à minha oração.

2 From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is too high for me.

Desde o fim da terra clamarei a ti, quando o meu coração estiver desmaiado; leva-me para a rocha que é mais alta do que eu

3 For thou hast been a shelter unto me, a strong tower against the enemy.

Pois tens sido um refúgio para mim, e uma torre forte contra o inimigo.

4 Let me sojourn in thy tent to all eternity; let me be sheltered under the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

Habitarei no teu tabernáculo para sempre: abrigar-me-ei no oculto das tuas asas (Selah)

5 For thou, O God, hast truly listened to my vows: thou hast given back the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Pois tu, ó Deus, ouviste os meus votos: deste-me a herança dos que temem o teu nome.

6 Oh, add days unto the king's days: may his years be as of many generations.

Prolongarás os dias do rei; e os seus anos serão como muitas gerações.

7 May he abide for ever before God: ordain that kindness and truth may guard him.

Ele permanecerá diante de Deus para sempre; prepara-lhe misericórdia e verdade que o preservem.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may pay my vows day by day.

Assim cantarei salmos ao teu nome perpetuamente, para pagar os meus votos de dia em dia.
