Leviticus 11
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés e a Aarão, dizendo-lhes:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
Fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Estes são os animais, que comereis de todas as bestas que há sobre a terra:
3 Whatsoever divideth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.
Tudo o que tem unhas fendidas, e a fenda das unhas se divide em duas, e remoi, entre os animais, aquilo comereis.
4 But these shall ye not eat, of those that chew the cud, or of those that divide the hoof: the camel; because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
Destes porém não comereis, dos que remoem ou dos que tem unhas fendidas: o camelo, que remoi mas não tem unhas fendidas; este vos será imundo;
5 And the cony; because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
E o coelho, porque remoi, mas não tem as unhas fendidas; este vos será imundo;
6 And the hare; because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
E a lebre, porque remoi, mas não tem as unhas fendidas esta vos será imunda.
7 And the swine; because he divideth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, but he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean unto you.
Também o porco, porque tem unhas fendidas, e a fenda das unhas se divide em duas, mas não remoi; este vos será imundo.
8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch; they are unclean unto you.
Da sua carne não comereis, nem tocareis no seu cadáver; estes vos serão imundos.
9 These may ye eat, of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them may ye eat.
Isto comereis de tudo o que há nas águas, tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas nas águas, nos mares e nos rios; aquilo comereis.
10 But all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of whatever moveth in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, shall be an abomination unto you:
Mas tudo o que não tem barbatanas nem escamas, nos mares e nos rios, de todo o réptil das águas, e de toda a alma vivente que há nas águas, estes serão para vós abominação.
11 And an abomination shall they remain unto you; of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcasses ye shall have in abomination.
Ser-vos-ão pois por abominação: da sua carne não comereis, e abominareis o seu cadáver.
12 Whatsoever hath not fins and scales in the waters, shall be an abomination unto you.
Tudo o que não tem barbatanas ou escamas, nas águas, será para vós abominação.
13 And these shall ye have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: The eagle, and the ossifrage, and the osprey,
E estas abominareis das aves: não se comerão, serão abominação: a águia, e o quebrantosso, e o xofrango,
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
E o milhano, e o abutre segundo a sua espécie,
15 Every raven after his kind:
Todo o corvo segundo a sua espécie,
16 And the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind;
E o avestruz, e o mocho, e o cuco, e o gavião segundo a sua espécie,
17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
E o bufo, e o corvo marinho, e a curuja,
18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier-eagle,
E a gralha, e o cisne, e o pelicano,
19 And the stork, the heron after his kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
E a cegonha, a garça segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
20 All flying insects that walk upon four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
Todo o réptil que vôa, que anda sobre quatro pés, será para vós uma abominação.
21 Yet these may ye eat, among all the flying insects that walk on four feet, which have spring-legs above their feet, to leap therewith upon the earth.
Mas isto comereis de todo o réptil que vôa, que anda sobre quatro pés: o que tiver pernas sobre os seus pés, para saltar com elas sobre a terra.
22 These of them may ye eat: The locust after its kind, and the sol'am after its kind, and the chargol after its kind, and the chagab after its kind.
Deles comereis estes: o gafanhoto segundo a sua espécie, e o solham segundo a sua espécie, e o hargol segundo a sua espécie, e o hagab segundo a sua espécie.
23 But all flying insects, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you;
E todo o réptil que vôa, que tem quatro pés, será para vós uma abominação,
24 And through these shall ye be rendered unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcass of them shall be unclean until the evening;
E por estes sereis imundos: qualquer que tocar os seus cadáveres, imundo será até à tarde.
25 And whosoever beareth aught of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
Qualquer que levar os seus cadáveres lavará os seus vestidos, e será imundo até à tarde.
26 Every species of beast, which divideth the hoof and is not cloven-footed nor cheweth the cud, is unclean unto you: every one that toucheth the same shall be unclean.
Todo o animal que tem unhas fendidas, mas a fenda não se divide em duas, e todo o que não remoi, vos será por imundo: qualquer que tocar neles será imundo.
27 And all that walk upon their paws, among all manner of beasts that walk on four feet, are unclean unto you; whosoever toucheth their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
E tudo o que anda sobre as suas patas, de todo o animal que anda a quatro pés, vos será por imundo: qualquer que tocar nos seus cadáveres será imundo até à tarde.
28 And he that beareth their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: unclean shall they be unto you.
E o que levar os seus cadáveres lavará os seus vestidos, e será imundo até à tarde: eles vos serão por imundos.
29 And these shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth: The weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after its kind,
Estes também vos serão por imundos entre os réptis que se arrastam sobre a terra: a doninha, e o rato, e o cágado segundo a sua espécie,
30 And the hedgehog, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.
E o ouriço cacheiro, e o lagarto, e a lagartixa, e a lesma e a toupeira.
31 These shall be unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.
Estes vos serão por imundos entre todo o réptil; qualquer que os tocar, estando eles mortos, será imundo até à tarde.
32 And every thing upon which any part of them, when they are dead, doth fall, shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, every vessel wherewith any work can be done, must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening, when it shall be clean.
E tudo aquilo sobre o que deles cair alguma coisa, estando eles mortos, será imundo; seja vaso de madeira, ou vestido, ou pele, ou saco, qualquer instrumento, com que se faz alguma obra, será metido na água, e será imundo até à tarde; depois será limpo
33 And every earthen vessel whereinto any part of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and itself shall ye break.
E todo o vaso de barro, em que cair alguma coisa deles, tudo o que houver nele será imundo, e o vaso quebrareis.
34 All kinds of food which may be eaten, on which water cometh, shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk, shall be rendered unclean in every vessel.
Todo o manjar que se come, sobre o que vier tal água, será imundo; e toda a bebida que se bebe, em todo o vaso, será imunda.
35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcass falleth, shall be unclean; an oven, or ranges for pots, shall be broken down, they are unclean; and unclean shall they be unto you.
E aquilo sobre o que cair alguma coisa de seu corpo morto, será imundo: o forno e o vaso de barro serão quebrados; imundos são: portanto vos serão por imundos.
36 Nevertheless, a fountain, or pit, receptacles for water, shall be clean; but he that toucheth their carcass shall be unclean.
Porém a fonte ou cisterna, em que se recolhem águas, será limpa, mas quem tocar no seu cadáver será imundo.
37 And if any part of their carcass fall upon any sowing-seed which hath been sown, it shall be clean.
E, se dos seus cadáveres cair alguma coisa sobre alguma semente de semear, que se semeia, será limpa;
38 But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcass fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
Mas se for deitada água sobre a semente, e se do seu cadáver cair alguma coisa sobre ela, vos será por imunda.
39 And if any cattle die, which is allowed to you as food: he that toucheth its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
E se morrer algum dos animais, que vos servem de mantimento, quem tocar no seu cadáver será imundo até à tarde;
40 And he that eateth of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; he also that beareth its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
E quem comer do seu cadáver lavará os seus vestidos, e será imundo até à tarde; e quem levar o seu corpo morto lavará os seus vestidos, e será imundo até à tarde.
41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth is an abomination, it shall not be eaten.
Também todo o réptil, que se arrasta sobre a terra, será abominação; não se comerá.
42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon four feet, down to whatsoever hath many feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, shall ye not eat; for they are an abomination.
Tudo o que anda sobre o ventre, e tudo o que anda sobre quatro pés, ou que tem mais pés, entre todo o réptil que se arrasta sobre a terra, não comereis, porquanto são uma abominação.
43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
Não façais as vossas almas abomináveis por nenhum réptil que se arrasta, nem neles vos contamineis, para ser imundos por eles;
44 For I am the Lord your God; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus: portanto vós os santificareis, e sereis santos, porque eu sou santo; e não contaminareis as vossas almas por nenhum réptil que se arrasta sobre a terra;
45 For I am the Lord that have brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
Porque eu sou o Senhor, que vos faço subir da terra do Egito, para que eu seja vosso Deus, e para que sejais santos; porque eu sou santo.
46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
Esta é a lei dos animais, e das aves, e de toda a alma vivente que se move nas águas, e de toda a alma que se arrasta sobre a terra;
47 To distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
Para fazer diferença entre o imundo e o limpo; e entre os animais que se podem comer e os animais que não se podem comer.
