Isaiah 54
1 Sing, O barren one, that thou hast not born: break forth into song, and rejoice aloud, that thou hast not travailed; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
Canta alegremente, ó estéril, que não párias: exclama de prazer com alegre canto, e exulta, tu que não tiveste dores de parto; porque mais são os filhos da solitária, do que os filhos da casada, diz o Senhor.
2 Enlarge the space of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations, —spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
Alarga o lugar da tua tenda, e as cortinas das tuas habitações se estendam; não o impeças: alonga as tuas cordas, e afixa bem as tuas estacas.
3 For to the right and to the left shalt thou spread forth; and thy seed shall drive out nations, desolate cities shall they repeople.
Porque trasbordarás à mão direita e à esquerda; e a tua semente possuirá as nações e farão habitar as cidades assoladas.
4 Fear not, for thou shalt not be made ashamed; and be not confounded, for thou shalt not be put to the blush; for the shame of thy youth shalt thou forget, and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou not remember any more.
Não temas, porque não serás envergonhada; e não te envergonhes, porque não serás confundida: antes te esquecerás da vergonha da tua mocidade, e não te lembrarás mais do opróbrio da tua viuvez.
5 For thy husband is thy Maker, the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, “The God of all the earth,” shall he be called.
Porque o teu criador é o teu marido, o Senhor dos exércitos é o seu nome; e o Santo de Israel é o teu redentor; será chamado o Deus de toda a terra.
6 For as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit did the Lord call thee back, and as a wife of youth, that was rejected, saith thy God.
Porque o Senhor te chamou como a mulher desamparada, e triste de espírito: contudo tu és a mulher da mocidade, ainda que foste desprezada, diz o teu Deus.
7 But for a brief moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I again receive thee.
Por um pequeno momento te deixei, porém com grandes misericórdias te recolherei;
8 In a little wrath did I hide my face for a moment from thee; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith thy Redeemer the Lord.
Com uma pouca de ira escondi a minha face de ti por um momento; porém com benignidade eterna me compadecerei de ti, diz o Senhor, o teu redentor.
9 For as the waters of Noah is this unto me; as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more pass over the earth: so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
Porque isto será para mim como as águas de Noé, quando jurei que as águas de Noé não passariam mais sobre a terra: assim jurei que não me irarei mais contra ti, nem te repreenderei.
10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills may be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith he that hath mercy on thee, the Lord.
Porque os montes se desviarão, e os outeiros tremerão; porém a minha benignidade se não desviará de ti, e o concerto da minha paz se não mudará, diz o Senhor, que se compadece de ti.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed by the tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
Tu, oprimida, arrojada com a tormenta e desconsolada, eis que eu porei as tuas pedras com todo o ornamento, e te fundarei sobre as safiras.
12 And I will make of rubies thy battlements, and thy gates into carbuncle-stones, and all thy borders into precious stones.
E as tuas janelas farei cristalinas, e as tuas portas de rubins, e todos os teus termos de pedras apráziveis.
13 And all thy children shall be disciples of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
E todos os teus filhos serão doutrinados do Senhor; e a paz de teus filhos será abundante.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: keep far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near unto thee.
Com justiça serás confirmada: alonga-te da opressão, porque já não temerás; como também do espanto, porque não chegará a ti.
15 Behold, they that assemble together, are nothing without me: whatsoever assembleth together against thee shall fall under thy power.
Eis que certamente se ajuntarão contra ti, porém não comigo: quem se ajuntar contra ti cairá por amor de ti.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have also created the waster to destroy.
Eis que eu criei o ferreiro, que assopra as brazas no fogo, e que produz a ferramenta para a sua obra: também eu criei o destruidor, para desfazer.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that will rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their due reward from me, saith the Lord.
Toda a ferramenta preparada contra ti não prosperará, e toda a língua que se levantar contra ti em juízo tu a condenarás: esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e a sua justiça vem de mim, diz o Senhor.
