Ezekiel 11

1 And a spirit bore me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the house of the Lord, which looketh eastward: and behold, there were at the entrance of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Yaazanyah the son of 'Azzur, and Pelatyahu the son of Benayahu, princes of the people.

Então me levantou o espírito, e me levou à porta oriental da casa do Senhor, que olha para o oriente; e eis que estavam à entrada da porta vinte e cinco homens; e no meio deles vi a Jaazanias, filho de Azus, e a Pelatias, filho de Benaias, príncipes do povo.

2 Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise wickedness, and give evil counsel in this city;

E disse-me: Filho do homem, estes são os homens que pensam na perversidade, e aconselham conselho mau nesta cidade.

3 Who say, [The evil] is not near; so let us build houses: this [city] is the pot, and we are the flesh.

Que dizem: Não está próximo o tempo de edificar casas; esta cidade é a caldeira, e nós a carne.

4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

Portanto, profetiza contra eles: profetiza, ó filho do homem.

5 And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak, Thus hath said the Lord, Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; and whatever cometh into your mind, do I know full well.

Caiu pois sobre mim o espírito do Senhor, e disse-me: Dize: Assim diz o Senhor: Assim vós dizeis, ó casa de Israel, porque, quanto às coisas que vos sobem ao espírito, eu as conheço.

6 Ye have multiplied those slain by you in this city, and ye have filled its streets with the slain.

Multiplicastes os vossos mortos nesta cidade, e enchestes as suas ruas de mortos.

7 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Those slain by you whom ye have struck down in the midst of it, —they are the flesh, and this place is the pot; but you are to be removed out of the midst of it.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Vossos mortos, que deitastes no meio dela, esses são a carne, e ela é a caldeira: a vós, porém, vos tirarei do meio dela.

8 The sword have ye feared: and the sword will I bring over you, saith the Lord Eternal.

Temestes a espada, e a espada trarei sobre vós, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

9 And I will remove you out of the midst of it, and I will give you up into the hand of strangers, and will execute punishments among you.

E vos farei sair do meio dela, e vos entregarei na mão de estranhos, e exercerei os meus juízos entre vós.

10 By the sword shall ye fall; on the boundary of Israel will I judge you: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Caireis à espada, e nos confins de Israel vos julgarei; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

11 This place shall not be unto you as a pot, so that you should be as flesh in the midst of it; but on the boundary of Israel will I judge you.

Esta cidade não vos servirá de caldeira, nem vós servireis de carne no meio dela: nos confins de Israel vos julgarei.

12 And ye shall know that I am the Lord: because in my statutes have ye not walked, and my ordinances have ye not executed; but ye have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.

E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, porque nos meus estatutos não andastes, nem fizestes os meus juízos; antes fizestes conforme os juízos das nações que estão em redor de vós

13 And it came to pass, as I was prophesying, that Pelatyahu the son of Benayah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Eternal! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

E aconteceu que, profetizando eu, morreu Pelatias, filho de Benaias: então caí sobre o meu rosto, e clamei com grande voz, e disse: Ah! Senhor Jehovah! porventura farás tu consumação do resto de Israel?

14 Then came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,

Então veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

15 Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and the whole house of Israel altogether, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Remain you far from the Lord: unto us is this land given for a possession.

Filho do homem, teus irmãos, sim, teus irmãos, os homens de teu parentesco, e toda a casa de Israel, todos eles, são aqueles a quem os habitantes de Jerusalém disseram: apartai-vos para longe do Senhor; esta terra se nos deu em possessão.

16 Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Although I have removed them far away among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries: yet will I be to them as a minor sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ainda que os lancei para longe entre as nações, e ainda que os espalhei pelas terras, todavia lhes servirei de santuário, por um pouco de tempo, nas terras para onde foram.

17 Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will both gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries whether ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ora ajuntar-vos-ei dos povos, e vos recolherei das terras para onde fostes lançados, e vos darei a terra de Israel.

18 And they shall come thither, and they shall remove all its detestable things, and all its abominations out of it.

E virão ali, e tirarão dela todas as suas coisas detestáveis e todas as suas abominações.

19 And I will give them one single heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of their body, and I will give unto them a heart of flesh:

E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e espírito novo porei dentro deles: e tirarei da sua carne o coração de pedra, e lhes darei um coração de carne

20 In order that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them; and they shall be unto me for a people, and I will indeed be unto them for a God.

Para que andem nos meus estatutos, e guardem os meus juízos, e os façam: e eles me serão por povo, e eu lhes serei por Deus.

21 But as for those whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, their way do I bring upon their own head, saith the Lord Eternal.

Quanto àqueles cujo coração andar conforme o coração das suas coisas detestáveis, e das suas abominações, farei recair nas suas cabeças o seu caminho, diz o Senhor Jehovah

22 Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels at the same time with them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

Então os cherubins elevaram as suas asas, e as rodas os acompanhavam; e a glória do Deus de Israel estava em cima, sobre eles.

23 And the glory of the Lord ascended from the midst of the city, and halted upon the mount which is on the east side of the city.

E a glória do Senhor se alçou desde o meio da cidade; e se pôs sobre o monte que está defronte do oriente da cidade.

24 But a spirit bore me up, and brought me into Chaldea, to those in exile, in the appearance through the spirit of God: and then ascended away from me the appearance which I had seen.

Depois o espírito me levantou, e me levou à Chaldea, para os do cativeiro, em visão, pelo espírito de Deus; e subiu de sobre mim a visão que eu tinha visto.

25 Then did I speak unto those in exile all the things that the Lord had shown me.

E falei aos do cativeiro todas as coisas que o Senhor me tinha mostrado.
