2 Kings 9
1 And Elisha' the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this flask of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gil'ad:
Então o profeta Eliseo chamou um dos filhos dos profetas, e lhe disse: Cinge os teus lombos, e toma esta almotolia de azeite na tua mão, e vai-te a Ramoth de Gilead;
2 And when thou art come thither, look out there for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and cause him to stand up from the midst of his brethren, and bring him in to the innermost chamber;
E, chegando lá, vê onde está Jehu, filho de Josaphat, filho de Nimsi: e entra, e faze que ele se levante do meio de seus irmãos, e leva-o à câmara interior.
3 And thou shalt then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus hath said the Lord, I have anointed thee as king over Israel. Then must thou open the door, and flee, and not wait for any thing.
E toma a almotolia de azeite, e derrama-o sobre a sua cabeça, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor: Ungi-te rei sobre Israel. Então abre a porta, e foge, e não te detenhas.
4 So the young man, the disciple of the prophet, went to Ramoth-gil'ad.
Foi pois o mancebo, o jovem profeta, a Ramoth de Gilead.
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting; and he said, I have a word for thee, O captain. And Jehu said, For whom of all of us? And he said, For thee, O captain.
E, entrando ele, eis que os capitães do exército estavam assentados ali; e disse: Capitão, tenho uma palavra que te dizer. E disse Jehu: A qual de todos nós? E disse: A ti, capitão!
6 And he arose, and went into the house: and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus hath said the Lord the God of Israel, I anoint thee as king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.
Então se levantou, e entrou na casa, e derramou o azeite sobre a sua cabeça, e lhe disse: Assim diz o Senhor Deus de Israel: Ungi-te rei sobre o povo do Senhor, sobre Israel.
7 And thou shalt smite the house of Achab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Izebel.
E ferirás a casa de Achab, teu senhor, para que eu vingue o sangue de meus servos, os profetas, e o sangue de todos os servos do Senhor da mão de Jezabel.
8 And the whole house of Achab shall perish: and I will cut off from Achab every male, and the guarded and fortified in Israel;
E toda a casa de Achab perecerá; e destruirei d'Achab todo o varão, tanto o encerrado como o desamparado em Israel.
9 And I will make the house of Achab like the house of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, and like the house of Ba'sha the son of Achiyah;
Porque à casa d'Achab hei de fazer como à casa de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, e como à casa de Baása, filho d'Ahias.
10 And Izebel shall the dogs eat in the field of Yizre'el, with none to bury her. And he [then] opened the door, and fled.
E os cães comerão a Jezabel no pedaço de campo de Jizreel; não haverá quem a enterre. Então abriu a porta, e fugiu
11 But Jehu came forth to the servants of his Lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this madman to thee? And he said unto them, Ye yourselves know the man, and his talk.
E, saindo Jehu aos servos do seu senhor, disseram-lhe: vai tudo bem? porque veio a ti este louco? E ele lhes disse: Bem conheceis o homem e o seu falar.
12 And they said, It is false: only tell us, we pray thee. And he said, So and so did he speak to me, saying, Thus hath said the Lord, I anoint thee as king over Israel.
Mas eles disseram: É mentira; agora faze-no-lo saber. E disse: Assim e assim me falou, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor: Ungi-te rei sobre Israel.
13 Then they hastened, and they took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs; and they blew the cornet, saying, Jehu is king.
Então se apressaram, e tomou cada um o seu vestido, e o pôs debaixo dele, no mais alto degrau: e tocaram a buzina, e disseram: Jehu reina!
14 So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept guard at Ramoth-gil'ad, he and all Israel, because of Chazael the king of Syria.
Assim Jehu, filho de Josaphat, filho de Nimsi, conspirou contra Jorão. Tinha porém Jorão cercado a Ramoth de Gilead, ele e todo o Israel, por causa de Hazael, rei da Síria.
15 But king Jehoram was returned to be healed in Yizre'el of the wounds which the Syrians had inflicted on him, when he was fighting with Chazael the king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If this be your mind, then let none that escapeth go forth out of the city to go to tell it in Yizre'el.
Porém o rei Jorão voltou para se curar em Jizreel das feridas que os siros lhe fizeram, quando pelejou contra Hazael, rei da Síria. E disse Jehu: Se é da vossa vontade, ninguém saia da cidade, nem escape, para ir denunciar isto em Jizreel.
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Yizre'el; for Joram was lying there. And Achazyah the king of Judah was come down to see Joram.
Então Jehu subiu a um carro, e foi-se a Jizreel, porque Jorão estava deitado ali: e também Achazias, rei de Judá, descera para ver a Jorão.
17 And the watchman stood on the tower in Yizre'el, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came; and he said, A company do I see, And Jehoram said, Take a horseman, and send out to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?
E o atalaia estava na torre de Jizreel, e viu a tropa de Jehu, que vinha, e disse: Vejo uma tropa. Então disse Jorão: Toma um cavaleiro, e envia-lho ao encontro; e diga: há paz?
18 So there went one riding on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus hath said the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee about behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came up to them, but he hath not returned.
E o cavaleiro lhe foi ao encontro, e disse: Assim diz o rei: há paz? E disse Jehu: Que tens tu que fazer com a paz? Vira-te para traz de mim. E o atalaia o fez saber, dizendo: Chegou a eles o mensageiro, porém não volta.
19 Then sent he out a second rider on horseback, who came to them, and said, Thus hath said the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee about behind me.
Então enviou outro cavaleiro; e, chegando este a eles, disse: Assim diz o rei: há paz? E disse Jehu: Que tens tu que fazer com a paz? Vira-te para traz de mim.
20 And the watchman told, saying, He came up to them, but he hath not returned: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth as though he were mad.
E o atalaia o fez saber, dizendo: também este chegou a eles, porém não volta; e o andar parece como o andar de Jehu, filho de Nimsi, porque anda furiosamente.
21 And Jehoram said, Harness up. And his chariot was harnessed up. And Jehoram the king of Israel and Achazyahu the king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him in the portion of land of Naboth the Yizre'elite.
Então disse Jorão: aparelha o carro. E aparelharam o seu carro. E saiu Jorão, rei de Israel, e Achazias, rei de Judá, cada um em seu carro, e sairam ao encontro a Jehu, e o acharam no pedaço de campo de Naboth, o jizreelita.
22 And it came to pass, when Jehoram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he said, What peace can there be with the acts of incest of thy mother Izebel and her many witchcrafts?
E sucedeu que, vendo Jorão a Jehu, disse: há paz, Jehu? E disse ele: Que paz, enquanto as fornicações da tua mãe Jezabel e as suas feitiçarias são tantas?
23 And Jehoram turned about, and fled, and said to Achazyahu, Treachery, Achazyahu.
Então Jorão voltou as mãos, e fugiu; e disse a Achazias: Traição há, Achazias.
24 And Jehu grasped the bow with his full strength, and struck Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
Mas Jehu entesou o seu arco com toda a força, e feriu a Jorão entre os braços, e a flecha lhe saiu pelo coração; e se encurvou no seu carro.
25 Then said he to Bidkar his officer, Lift up, [and] cast him down in the part of the field that was Naboth's the Yizre'elite; for remember how that I and thou rode alongside each other after Achab his father, when the Lord pronounced over him this fatal decree:
Então Jehu disse a Bidkar, seu capitão: Toma-o, lança-o no pedaço do campo de Naboth, o jizreelita; porque, lembra-te de que, indo eu e tu juntos a cavalo após seu pai, Achab, o Senhor pôs sobre ele esta carga, dizendo:
26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the Lord; and I will repay thee in this part of the field, saith the Lord. And now lift up, [and] cast him down into the field, according to the word of the Lord.
Por certo que se eu não visse ontem à tarde o sangue de Naboth e o sangue de seus filhos, diz o Senhor, também não to pagaria neste pedaço de campo, diz o Senhor. Agora, pois, toma-o, e lança-o neste pedaço de campo, conforme a palavra do Senhor.
27 And when Achazyahu the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden-house; but Jehu pursued after him, and said, Also him smite in the chariot. [And they did so] on the ascent to Gur, which is by Yible'am. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
O que vendo Achazias, rei de Judá, fugiu pelo caminho da casa do jardim, porém Jehu seguiu após ele, e disse: também feri a este no carro à subida de Gur, que está junto a Jibleam. E fugiu a Megiddo, e morreu ali
28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.
E seus servos o levaram num carro a Jerusalém, e o sepultaram na sua sepultura junto a seus pais, na cidade de David.
29 And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Achab became Achazyah king over Judah.
(E no ano undécimo de Jorão, filho d'Achab, começou Achazias a reinar sobre Judah.)
30 And Jehu came to Yizre'el; and when Izebel heard of it, she painted her eyes, and ornamented her head, and looked out at the window.
E Jehu veio a Jizreel, o que ouvindo Jezabel, se pintou em volta dos olhos, e enfeitou a sua cabeça, e olhou pela janela.
31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Is it peace, O Zimri, who hath slain his master?
E, entrando Jehu pelas portas, disse ela: Teve paz Zimri, que matou a seu senhor?
32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three chamberlains.
E levantou ele o rosto para a janela e disse: Quem é comigo? quem? E dois ou três eunucos olharam para ele.
33 And he said, Pitch her down. So they pitched her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses; and he trod her under foot.
Então disse ele: lançai-a do alto abaixo. E lançaram-a do alto abaixo: e foram salpicados com o seu sangue a parede e os cavalos, e ele a atropelou.
34 And he came in, and ate and drank; and then said he, Look, I pray you, after this accursed one, and bury her; for she is a king's daughter.
Entrando ele pois, e havendo comido e bebido, disse: olhai por aquela maldita, e sepultai-a, porque é filha de rei.
35 And they went to bury her: but they found nothing of her but the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
E foram para a sepultar; porém não acharam dela senão somente a caveira, e os pés, e as palmas das mãos
36 And they returned, and told him; and he said, It is the word of the Lord, which he spoke by means of his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the field of Yizre'el shall the dogs eat the flesh of Izebel:
Então voltaram, e lho fizeram saber; e ele disse: Esta é a palavra do Senhor, a qual falou pelo ministério de Elias, o tesbita, seu servo, dizendo: No pedaço do campo de Jizreel os cães comerão a carne de Jezabel.
37 And the carcass of Izebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Yizre'el; so that they shall not say, This is Izebel.
E o cadáver de Jezabel será como esterco sobre o campo, no pedaço de Jizreel: que se não possa dizer: Esta é Jezabel.
