Ruth 3

1 And she lodged with her mother-in-law: and Noemin her mother-in-law said to her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

Naomi, ŝia bopatrino, diris al ŝi: Mia bofilino, mia celo estas, ke mi trovu por vi ripozejon, kie pliboniĝos via stato.

2 And now [is] not Booz our kinsman, with whose damsels you were? behold, he winnows barley this night in the floor.

Vidu nun, nia parenco Boaz, kun kies junulinoj vi kuniĝis, ventumas hordeon dum ĉi tiu nokto en la draŝejo;

3 But do you wash, and anoint yourself, and put your raiment upon you, and go up to the threshing floor: do not discover yourself to the man until he has done eating and drinking.

lavu do vin kaj oleu vin kaj vestu vin per viaj plej bonaj vestoj, kaj iru en la draŝejon; ne vidigu vin al la viro, antaŭ ol li finos manĝi kaj trinki;

4 And it shall come to pass when he lies down, that you shall mark the place where he lies down, and shall come and lift up the covering of his feet, and shall lie down; and he shall tell you what you shall do.

kaj kiam li kuŝiĝos, rimarku la lokon, kie li kuŝas, iru tien, malkovru la piedparton de la kuŝejo, kaj kuŝiĝu; kaj li diros al vi, kion vi devos fari.

5 And Ruth said to her, All that you shall say, I will do.

Rut respondis al ŝi: Kion vi diras al mi, tion mi faros.

6 And she went down to the threshing floor, and did according to all that her mother-in-law enjoined her.

Kaj ŝi iris en la draŝejon, kaj faris tion, kion ŝia bopatrino ordonis al ŝi.

7 And Booz ate and drank, and his heart was glad, and he came to lie down by the side of the heap of corn; and she came secretly, and lifted up the covering of his feet.

Kiam Boaz estis manĝinta kaj trinkinta kaj gajiĝis, li iris por kuŝiĝi malantaŭ grenamaso; kaj ŝi venis kviete, kaj malkovris la piedparton de la kuŝejo, kaj kuŝiĝis.

8 And it came to pass at midnight that the man was amazed, and troubled, and behold, a woman lay at his feet.

En la noktomezo la viro ektimiĝis; li turnis sin, kaj li ekvidis, ke virino kuŝas ĉe liaj piedoj.

9 And he said, Who are you? and she said, I am your handmaid Ruth; spread therefore your skirt over your handmaid, for you are a near relation.

Li demandis: Kiu vi estas? Kaj ŝi respondis: Mi estas Rut, via servistino; etendu vian mantelon sur vian servistinon, ĉar vi estas savanto.

10 And Booz said, Blessed [be] you of the Lord God, [my] daughter, for you have made your latter kindness greater than the former, in that you follow not after young men, whether [any be] poor or rich.

Kaj li diris: Estu benata de la Eternulo, mia filino; via lasta piaĵo estas pli granda, ol la unua, ĉar vi ne volas iri kun la junuloj, ĉu ili estas malriĉaj, ĉu riĉaj.

11 And now fear not, my daughter, whatever you shall say I will do to you; for all the tribe of my people knows that you are a virtuous woman.

Kaj nun, mia filino, ne timu; mi faros al vi ĉion, kion vi petos de mi; ĉar estas sciate en la tuta urbo de mia popolo, ke vi estas bravulino.

12 And now I am truly akin to you; nevertheless there is a kinsman nearer than I.

Kaj nun, kvankam vere mi estas parenco, tamen ekzistas parenco pli proksima ol mi.

13 Lodge [here] for the night, and it shall be in the morning, if he will do the part of a kinsman to you, well—let him do it: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to you, I will do the kinsman's part to you, [as] the Lord lives; lie down till the morning.

Restu ĉi tie la nokton; kaj kiam venos la mateno, se la alia parenco perfekte elaĉetos vin, lasu elaĉeti vin; sed se li ne volos vin elaĉeti, tiam mi vin elaĉetos, kiel la Eternulo vivas. Kuŝu ĝis la tagiĝo.

14 And she lay at his feet until the morning; and she rose up before a man could know his neighbor; and Booz said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.

Kaj ŝi kuŝis ĉe liaj piedoj ĝis la tagiĝo; sed ŝi leviĝis, antaŭ ol oni povis rekoni unu la alian. Kaj li diris: Mi ne volas, ke iu sciiĝu, ke ĉi tiu virino estis en mia draŝejo.

15 And he said to her, Bring the apron that is upon you: and she held it, and he measured six measures of barley, and put them upon her, and she went into the city.

Kaj li diris: Alportu la ŝalon, kiun vi havas sur vi, kaj tenu ĝin. Ŝi ĝin tenis, kaj li enmezuris en ĝin ses mezurilojn da hordeo kaj metis ĝin sur ŝin, kaj ŝi iris en la urbon.

16 And Ruth went in to her mother-in-law, and she said to her, [My] daughter! and [Ruth] told her all that the man had done to her.

Kiam ŝi alvenis al sia bopatrino, ĉi tiu demandis: Kiel la afero iras ĉe vi, mia filino? Kaj ŝi rakontis al ŝi ĉion, kion la viro faris al ŝi.

17 And she said to her, He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said to me, Go not empty to your mother-in-law.

Kaj ŝi diris plue: La ses mezurilojn da hordeo li ankaŭ donis al mi; ĉar li diris al mi: Ne revenu malplena al via bopatrino.

18 And she said, Sit still, [my] daughter, until you shall know how the matter will fall out; for the man will not rest until the matter be accomplished this day.

Kaj ĉi tiu diris: Restu, mia filino, ĝis vi sciiĝos, kiel la afero finiĝis; ĉar tiu homo ne ripozos, ĝis la afero estos finita hodiaŭ.
